"Now that's just a straight up lie. You are A LOT worse, dumbshit." Christian replied to me. I rolled my eyes, and threw a peanut at his face. He rolled his eyes, and looked back, which I followed his gaze
And what I saw was Nicole and Ruby who.. now in which Ruby had her head laid on Nicole's shoulder, and Nicole's head was on the couch, his head tilted back. I smiled slightly.. They were pretty cute and it was pretty obvious they had something for each other.
Christian had a slight smirk on his face, looking at the two and then turned back to me.
I was leaning against the counter, as Christian turned back to me.
He still had a smirk on his face. "They don't even try to hide their feelings." He said, looking away from me.
"What can I say? Even if one of them didn't like the other.. they'd work it out, so it's fair that they aren't afraid." I replied.. which was true. They were pretty compatible, platonically and romantically.. probably.
"True.." He said, turning back again, glancing at them.
"..we should probably go look for Rexine.. and gather her and Maverick together to tell them about Ivy.." I suggested. It was going to happen sooner or later, no matter if they think we're lying or not.
"We'll have to wake them up soon anyway.." Christian replied. But then, suddenly he smirked. I sighed.
"What are you thinking this time?" I said in a bored tone.
"Oh please, my ideas are always good, if not, great." He replied. I scoffed.
"Never, even once.." I looked away. He rolled his eyes, but his smirk stayed put on his ugly face.
"...let's make them pose.. and take a photo." He said with a mischievous smirk. I instantly averted my gaze to him, and put it to consideration.. This idea wasn't actually bad.
"..that isnt so bad, after all.. your ideas are getting better." I said, and lifted myself off the counter and took my phone.. which was in my pocket.
I walked over to where Christian was sitting not far from the kitchen, and gave him the phone. And I walked over to the couch where they were.. and assessed their position. I went behind the couch, and Christian watched me as I gently picked up Nicole's arm and put it around Ruby's waist. He snickered, as he watched me, getting ready to take the photo. And I put Ruby's hand on Nicole's lap, then moved out of the frame, and watched from behind Christian as he took the photo. He took a few, and then put the phone down.
I chuckled slightly as I walked over to the couch, to wake them up.
After not too long, they woke up. Ruby looked at me, still half asleep. Nicole, who easily woke up, was frozen in place after realizing his position, and where his hand was placed. Me and Christian snickered, and Ruby was still trying to wake up properly. But once she actually managed to open her eyes, and when she saw that she was hugging Nicole, she instantly became red. They both pulled back awkwardly, as I had a smirk on my face and Christian laughed, leaning back against the wall.
It was silent for a bit before Christian spoke. "That was like a comedy show.. you guys should do that more often." He commented, and I chuckled.
"Yeah, it's pretty entertaining." I added. Nicole's and Ruby's embarrassment seemed to disperse, and Ruby whispered something to Nicole, and let me just say, it wasn't a whisper.
"Just play along, the two are actually getting along." She whispered LOUDLY to Nicole. And Nicole raised an eyebrow and smiled, looking between me and Christian. Christian scoffed and looked away, and I stayed silent, crossing my arms. I sighed, and sat down on the armchair in front of the couch.
I smirked slightly, and spoke up. "I think you should worry about yourselves, first." I said, and showed them the photo which Christian took of them. Ruby blushed fiercely again, and Nicole looked away, flustered. The two didn't say anything, but Christian spoke to me.
"Hey, send me the photo, will you?" He said. I casually said 'yeah.' and didn't expect much of a reaction from that.. but both Nicole and Ruby stared at us.
"You guys have each other's..- WHAT?!" Ruby raised her voice, surprised.
"YOU HAVE EACH OTHERS NUMBERS?!" Nicole added to Ruby's surprise. I just raised an eyebrow.
"We were unfortunately paired for a project.. a while ago and it was kind of necessary.." Christian commented.
"Yeah, I would never willingly take that guy's number." I replied and Christian rolled his eyes. Both Ruby and Nicole just stared at us. I'm just going to assume they didn't know this.
Rexines pov:
I've been trying my best to stay awake.. I mean, I'm tired as heck.
I'm currently standing and walking in circles around the coffee table in this apartment. I'm still torn between going out and finding Maverick and the others, and staying here, I mean it's safer here.. and another part is telling me to go find Ivy. But what if it's too late? She might be already captured.. and I might just walk into a trap. Besides, I don't know how much those idiots know about us.
Sigh.. I guess it's better to stay inside for now.. and I ran out of mobile data a while ago, so there's no point in trying to call the others. And plus point because my phone died anyway. I walked over to the couch, and laid myself down.. sigh. You know what? Maybe I should go after Ivy...
Nevermind.. I got up again, and walked over to the kitchen, and grabbed a water bottle which I took with me. I hopped onto the counter, and literally chugged the water bottle. I threw it away, grabbing another and this time drinking it slower. Although I noticed something. the water.. tasted too humid.
