Chapter 5 - Kitsune

If you walk into a tavern, chances are you will see a Kitsune gossiping to one of the patrons within. They are the second largest population on Terran, and it is not uncommon to see them spread throughout the continent. They are a tall and slender group of people reaching heights between 5 and a half feet to 6 and a half feet. Most will have slender frames and weigh around 125 to 200 pounds. They can live up to 120 years and mature at around the same rate as humans. They have long thin fox ears on their head along with long fluffy tails. Kistunese skin can range from a pale white to tan, and hair and fur colors from black to blond. Though some that have grown up in other territories can have the hair and fur color of that region. They hold a great pride in their tails.

Hard work and pride flow through the blood of the Kitsunese. They are one of the first few races to settle on Terran and form a system of government, which is led by the Nine-Tails, a Kitsune who can live a thousand years and have full reign of every element. Though they are led by the Nine-Tails, they only have one elemental, the Shadow elemental. The Kitusne work hard to cultivate their farmlands to grow their crops. They also work hard to build the extravagant buildings of Onigawara, the capital of the Kitsunese Empire, and the agreed upon capital of Terran. The Kitsunese value tradition and honor those who come before them.

Kitsunese people like to settle down within communities and create a home for the future generations. The earlier generations would explore the continent and the people within it. But the newer generations tend to hunker down where their ancestors finally settled and establish themselves within that community. They are a very festive group of people and have founded many holidays and festivals that even the other races of Terran will celebrate. Their capital Onigawara is a massive shrine dedicated to the Nine-Tails and is considered a truly neutral city where every race thrives.

Most kitsunese will take on a traditional naming system but those born or raised in different regions will adopt the surnames of the area.
