Chapter 3 - Learning Sword Intent In An Instant!

Elder Mo Fu was elated to see Mr. Liu Wei's eyes sparkled in excitement to see the Mid-Grade Spirit Stone.

In fact, Mid-Grade Spirit Stone was equivalent to a hundred gold coins.

What made the spirit stones more valuable was they possessed Qi.

Mid-Grade Spirit Stone has the same effect as the tea he had just drank.

It was that precious.

He had to slay beasts and ran errands for the whole two months just to gather a Mid-Grade Spirit Stone.

Do note he was already a Sword Expert by the fourth month.

A Sword Expert was respected in the Imperial Kingdom of Jinwu, as not even the General of the Crimson Sun Guard, consisting of elite-army of Foundation to early Core Formation warriors, possessed such a level of Dao Comprehension.

As soon as his breakthrough to Minor Completion in the Dao of Sword, the Crimson Sun Guard invited him to become their General, but he rejected.

If he would follow Mr. Liu Wei instead, he might become a Sword Master!

As long as he was able to curry favor for Mr. Liu Wei, becoming a Sword Master, or perhaps a Sword Grandmaster would only be a matter of time.

Even when he was already old.

Or even a Sword Saint!

Once he became a Sword Saint, he would be able to ascend in the Spirit Ascension Domain, where Nascent Soul and above cultivators ascended.

Even without connections in the Spirit Ascension Domain cultivators, just the title of being a Sword Saint should suffice in shaking the Spirit Ascension Domain.

Who's to say I don't have connections? I have Mr. Liu Wei! A mysterious expert!

As he was enjoying his imaginations, he noticed Mr. Liu Wei had not said anything and closed his eyes randomly.

He tilted his head sideways and could not help but pondered aimlessly.

Is he trying to control his greed? As expected of Mr. Liu Wei. He's not that kind of man!

He silently poured another round of tea on his teacup and drank it, enjoying his time.

Suddenly, he noticed something from Mr. Liu Wei.

He glanced at him.

He was sure Mr. Liu Wei did not make a move.

Not even a twitch on his muscle.

Yet, something seemed to be different from him.

Out of nowhere, an intense wind coming from Mr. Liu Wei smacked him, changing his expression in an instant.

He was flabbergasted.

He mumbled in shock, "Was that Sword Intent?"

"So, that was Sword Intent? The Silent Third Beat… Interesting," said Liu Wei as he opened his eyes.

He realized he had done something wrong and laughed awkwardly.

He lowered his head slightly and said, "I apologize."

Of course, he has to. After all, he only took seconds to learn what took Elder Mo Fu four months, spending the rest of the two months to solidify his sword intent.

Elder Mo Fu did not know what to say.

Words stuck in his mouth.

His mind was blank.

Liu Wei knew he caused a massive shock to Elder Mo Fu and he was afraid it might cause him to regress his cultivation, forming a Heart Demon.

He certainly did not want it to happen, so he tried to initiate a topic that might interest Elder Mo Fu.

He pondered. Earlier, he was asking if I knew Senior Yan Qingshan, right? Now that I read the contents of his book in Elder Mo Fu's perspective in seconds, I should be able to act like I know Senior Yan Qingshan.

Liu Wei coughed to gain Elder Mo Fu's attention and said, "Senior Yan Qingshan's breakthrough to the Minor Completion of Dao of Sword is really amazing. He described Sword Intent as Third Beat, something before the movement and reaction. In other words, the sword will not follow the cultivator's movement and reaction, but simply, being able to speak itself and move by the cultivator's intent without thought."

Liu Wei scrutinized Elder Mo Fu's reaction and inwardly heaved a sigh of relief, seeing his eyes return to their vigor.

He thought. It seems he did not form a Demon Heart. That's good to know.

Liu Wei continued, "The way he practiced with his sword is interesting. To think he would meditate on the ocean cliffs, striking his own shadow with a wooden sword for thirty days, to realize that true Sword Intent is not about cutting others, but piercing illusion, even the illusion of one's identity and fear.

His comprehension is really amazing."

Elder Mo Fu was shocked.

He did not expect for Mr. Liu Wei initiated the conversation about Senior Yan Qingshan he has been admiring.

I see. So, that's the case. Mr. Liu Wei was simply testing me if I wouldn't break my promise. Now that I returned the book and gave him the Mid-Grade Spirit Stone as promised, he did not hide his true strength anymore, simply saying, "If you have gone back to your words, I'm afraid, I'll cut you in half."

There's no doubt, Mr. Liu Wei was hiding his true powers and was simply testing us, mortals!

It was at this moment, Elder Mo Fu was now totally devoted to currying favor with Liu Wei.

Liu Wei's current cultivation was no doubt just a deception.

Even if Liu Wei was a mortal like them, it was not surprising an immortal was hiding in the library, as it was exactly what he felt during his stay.

Once Mr. Liu Wei was finished talking about Senior Yan Qingshan, he knew it was his turn.

How it proceeded onward would determine his relationship level with Mr. Liu Wei.

He replied, "Exactly, Senior Yan Qingshan even no longer required drawing his sword when he became a Sword Expert. Others would be able to feel his sword's presence even when it was sheathed.

Also, the moment his Sword Intent awakened, he likened it to the world itself recoiling slightly. Grass bent without wind. Distant beasts howled.

He wrote, "The sword was no longer in my hand. It was in the world. It had become a truth the world could not deny."

How domineering!"

Liu Wei finally relaxed when Elder Mo Fu was talking a lot with him. Without hesitation, he continued his conversation with him, while securing the Mid-Grade Spirit Stone, the size of his fist in his pocket.
