Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 1 – THE MAN IN THE MIRROR

Dominic

Dominic woke up early Monday morning, "Fuck Monday again" he said to himself. Another day to juggle handling his empire and being the alpha of his pack. He got up from his bed and went to the bathroom. He stood by the mirror and looked at the jagged scar carved across his chest while running his finger over it, trailing off into deep thoughts, his eyes shut as the memory from that night crept in – the howls, blood, fire…then nothing. He cleared his throat and snapped back to the present – 'forget it, it doesn't matter now'. Then be began his morning routine.

After a taking a bath, he slipped into his morning gear and went downstairs for a glass of water. While in the kitchen, Aiden walks in "Hi Princess, another day to go out and look at females in the name on jogging" he said. "Very funny asshole" Dominic responded.

"By the way don't forget we have an executive strategy meeting scheduled for today"

"That's today" Dominic said as he wiped off the excess water from his mouth.

"Yeah, we need to figure out how those spies from the Moon pack were able to breach and come in here"

"Dammit, we can't seem to get them off our tails can we?"

"I guess not".

-------------

Dominic went on his jog round the pack grounds, looking around and making sure it's as peaceful as it can be. He enjoyed runs like this, his inner wolf thrived in being around nature, the feeling of the breeze, the sounds of the birds in the tree all making him feel inner peace. Dominic was jogging through the borders of the pack grounds when he noticed a hole in the security fences built to protect and mark the territory of the Crescent pack. Dominic became alerted and on guard, he transformed into his wolf form – a giant black wolf with green eyes. And scouted the area for signs of entry, although he could perceive a slight scent, it seemed like the person has already been long gone from the area. Dominic transformed back and called his beta - Aiden to notify him about the breach. Quickly Aiden and some of the pack members came and surveilled the area while also fixing the fence.

Dominic was mad, fury visible in his eyes "Call up a meeting right now, I want every pack member in the pack house in the next 30minutes"

"Yes sir" his delta Nicholas responded.

-------------

Everyone was gather in a big hallway waiting in the pack house, waiting for their Alpha. There were murmurs and chatters in the crowd, bit as soon as Dominic walked in, it became dead silent. Everyone could feel the rage coming off their Alpha.

"Members of the Crescent pack, today I noticed a breach in the borders of our security fence, a giant hole in it meaning someone came in and went out easily."

Murmurs and chatters began again.

"A hole in the damn fence – right under our noses!" Dominic yelled.

His eyes sharp and dark as he scanned the faces before him, "you mean to tell me someone walked into our grounds, our territory – and no one noticed? Not one?".

The place fell silent again.

"What are you guarding then?" he growled.

He took a sharp breath, trying to contain his rage and said, "I need everyone to be on high alert, these are our homes and we are not letting anyone invade it. If one enemy think they can sneak past us now, more will think they can come after us. And we would not know what to expect next time".

----------

"We have to up our security system", Dominic said to Aiden after the meeting.

"Yes sir", Aiden responded.

"And I don't want this to fucking happen again, make sure everyone knows this. And I want wolves scouting all areas at all time".

Aiden nodded his head.

Dominic then went to get ready, it was time to step into the second battle field – his company awaited, and the world of humans were just as ruthless.
