Its head was impossible to describe—covered in dozens of compound eyes that flickered with brutal blood-red light. In the enormous mouth split wide to the limit and packed with fangs, extremely corrosive, filthy saliva dripped nonstop, smoking as it ate into the ground and sent up rolling white steam.
The aura of destruction pouring off its body was almost tangible. The air around it turned thick and heavy—every breath felt like inhaling blades.
This was the dark faction's strongest weapon—sent to reclaim the cube, or crush the intruders completely!
"Dear God…" Hawkeye stared up at the beast, sweat soaking the hand gripping his bow.
"H-How are we supposed to fight that?" Spider-Man felt like his spider-sense was nearly numb from warning overload.
Dozens of blood eyes locked onto the most conspicuous person in the group—the one radiating the cube's presence.
Saitama.
The dark beast let out an earth-shaking roar. The soundwave swept out like a physical shockwave, making everyone's eardrums throb as the cave's collapse worsened!
Then, inside its gigantic maw, endless dark energy began to gather and compress—forming a black sphere so chilling it looked like it could swallow all light.
"Move! Scatter!" Captain America bellowed.
But the beast's attack range was too huge—almost covering the entire passage ahead!
Boom—!!!
A jet-black torrent of dark energy—so pure it was absolute—erupted from the beast's mouth like a galaxy pouring down. Wherever that annihilating force passed, even space itself seemed to wail and crack apart!
It was an attack meant to erase everything.
"I've got it."
Saitama's voice sounded calm.
He didn't dodge. Instead, he stepped forward—walking straight into the destructive torrent head-on!
Compared to that vast flood, his body looked unbelievably small, like he'd be swallowed in the next second.
"Saitama!" Wanda cried out. Chaos magic exploded as she tried to stack multiple layers of defensive barriers in front of him. She knew how strong Saitama was, but the terror of that energy exceeded imagination.
Doctor Strange struck at the same time, piling on his strongest defensive spells without hesitation—Seraphim Shield, the Vishanti's sacred barrier, and more.
Captain America hurled his shield with all his strength, trying to deflect even a portion of the energy.
Spider-Man and Hawkeye tried to disrupt the beast's eyes with their attacks—but it barely mattered.
The dark torrent slammed into the barriers Wanda and Strange had built!
They shattered layer after layer like paper, buying less than a hundredth of a second.
The flood continued straight toward Saitama!
The next instant—
Saitama collided with the dark torrent head-on.
There was no explosion. No struggle. The terrifying flood that could have destroyed a city struck Saitama and then…
Split and flowed around him.
Like raging rapids hitting an unmoving reef, the jet-black torrent parted to either side of his body. Saitama stood firmly in place. His cape barely lifted. He only narrowed his eyes slightly, as if he was a little annoyed that the glare was too bright.
"He's holding it!" Captain America shouted. "Everyone else—find its weak point!"
Wanda and Doctor Strange snapped out of their shock, realizing Saitama had created another miracle. They immediately changed strategy. Instead of wasting power trying to defend against something that couldn't be defended—since Saitama could block it—they shifted everything into attacking and weakening the beast itself.
Wanda condensed a massive sphere of chaos energy between her hands and hurled it toward the beast's densely packed blood eyes.
"Hit its eyes!"
