Boom! Boom! Boom!
Raging sonic fists turned into meteors and fell, and endless lightning exploded over the Moon Bay Satellite Island. The powerful explosions and roars shattered the once-peaceful sea. Terrible shockwaves surged outward, and even though Yelena was over ten miles away, she had to block her face with her arms and brace her feet against the ground, sliding backward a few feet.
Feeling the immense impact firsthand, Yelena was shocked. Her current physical fitness was superior to the Black Widows who had been injected with the super-gene serum, yet the aftershocks of a power clash over ten miles away could nearly blow her away. This was no longer a level mortals could achieve. This was a god-level battle.
Yelena held her ground, not giving an inch. She peered through the gap in her arms, struggling against the wind. She knew she couldn't miss a second of this battle. Having escaped the cruelty of the Red Room, she and her sisters understood the importance of strength more than anyone.
She wasn't alone. The children who had been resting, chatting, and reading in the base dormitory all ran outside. The base was built on high ground on the island, and aside from the mountains on either side, the front view was unobstructed, with nothing but sea. From here, the battle on Moon Bay Satellite Island was clearly visible.
The children watched with serious and excited expressions. Were they afraid? Not at all. There were four or five instructors guarding them, and even if there weren't, they believed that if they ever faced the crisis of death, their god would come to save them.
"Instructor Lisa, what's going on? Is there an enemy invasion?"
"Yes, Instructor Lisa."
"Aren't you going with Instructor Salina to drive them out?"
The children chattered to the instructors. After spending so much time together, the children knew their instructors' temperaments. During training, the instructors were as strict as demons, but outside of it, they were a group of beautiful and kind big sisters. If the children had questions, they would always answer them patiently.
Gentle and lovely. The children, who had generally had difficult pasts, were more mature and sensitive to people's true intentions. They could easily tell the difference between sincerity and pretense. So they weren't afraid of their instructors; they loved and respected them.
The instructor named Lisa was a beautiful, fair-skinned girl of Eastern European descent in her twenties, with short black hair and delicate features. She was the youngest of the instructors. She looked toward the island, her beautiful eyes flashing with a sharp, red light. She was as vigilant as a female leopard protecting her cubs.
Facing the children's questions, she responded gently but seriously. "We don't know if they are enemies yet, but anyone who dares to invade our base will pay a price. They are definitely not from Earth."
Ignoring the children's amazed and excited discussions, she nodded silently to the other instructors. The cosmos inside her slowly ignited, and a thin layer of flame covered her body, raising her vigilance to the highest level.
With their awakened sixth sense, Lisa and her fellow instructors had sensed the immense energy the moment the invaders appeared. The colorful beam of light had fallen too quickly, and the opponents had unleashed their power without any concealment, which was enough to mark them as invaders. From their collision with Salina and the others, it was clear that they were not weak. Lisa and the other instructors stayed behind, afraid of a diversionary tactic. Their duty was to protect these children.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Above Moon Bay Satellite Island, Salina and the other female instructors felt the immense power of their opponent. Their delicate faces were cold. Ignoring the shockwaves of their clash, they transformed into meteors and plummeted toward the island's ground.
They landed without cracking the earth, a testament to their precise control over their power. They spread out in a siege formation, dozens of meters apart. In the center, through the swirling dust and crackling lightning, they clearly saw a blond man in medieval armor and a red cape, holding a hammer. He was wreathed in thunder and lightning, his aura fierce and valiant, like a general on the battlefield. Facing Salina and the others, he showed no fear, only excitement. The surging fighting spirit in his eyes seemed ready to pierce the heavens.
"Enemy?"
Salina's gaze was cold, and her fighting spirit exploded. The auras of her and her companions intertwined like dark clouds, pressing down like mountains and making the man feel a tremendous pressure. The ground beneath him cracked, unable to bear the force, and the entire island began to shake violently. The surrounding waves crashed and surged against the shore. The auras of the combatants clashed, creating arcs and sparks in the air, a strange spectacle in the night sky.
"Whether I am an enemy or not depends on you," the man replied. He was none other than Thor of the Asgardian Odinson family. He looked around with his fierce eyes. He had to admit, the cold beauty and powerful aura of Salina and the others impressed him. But what excited him even more was the fact that these women possessed power no less than his own. If he could, Thor would have loved to fight them right now, but the hidden threat of the Serpent forced him to suppress the idea.
Perhaps due to his divine arrogance, his words were condescending, which only made Salina and the others' expressions grow colder.
"No matter who you are, kneel down now. I will take you to confess before my God." Salina didn't care about the man's identity. His sudden attack and arrogant words were enough to label him an enemy to them, the sworn members of Leon's Guards.
"Apart from my mother and father, no one can make Thor Odinson kneel and repent." Thor was enraged. Lightning flashed in his eyes as he gripped Mjölnir, his trusted companion for many years.
Boom!
As soon as Thor spoke, Salina and two other women, having determined he was an enemy, unleashed their cosmos without hesitation. Surging energy raged as they rushed toward Thor in a triangular formation at the speed of sound. The other four instructors took positions at the four corners, adopting different attack stances.
Their speed was terrifying, but Thor was the most outstanding warrior of the Odinson family. His strength was considerable and blessed by divine power. As the God of Thunder, he held authority over the storms. A thick, terrifying lightning bolt fell from the sky.
But it was only a distance of a few dozen meters. Salina and the others, moving at the speed of sound, reached Thor almost instantly. Salina was the fastest, aiming a punch at Thor's head. The other two female instructors lunged, one punching his chest, the other attacking from behind with a whip kick to his legs. The three attacked from different directions in a perfect complementary formation. Even if he blocked one, he couldn't block the other two, and there was no room to dodge.
But Thor was a seasoned warrior. The moment Salina and the others attacked, he realized the danger, but in such a desperate situation, he often created miracles. He was a natural fighter with an instinctive feel for battle. Without hesitation, he gripped Mjölnir, bent his knees slightly, and spun his body, swinging the hammer. The hammer rotated thousands of times in a second, and with the terrifying thunder blessed by the divine weapon Mjölnir, it instantly created a fearsome thunderstorm.
Salina and the others, having awakened their sixth sense, had achieved perfect control over their strength and bodies. Even if the attack distance was only a fraction of a centimeter, they could withdraw their attacks without any backlash. But they didn't. They intended to use their absolute power to take down Thor as quickly as possible. This was their first battle, and they had to protect the dignity of their God's Guards.
Boom!
The attacks collided heavily with the thunderstorm. A terrifying shockwave erupted from the center of the three women, like a raging torrent, washing over everything. The immense satellite island instantly began to collapse, split apart, and crumble. Gravel and dust filled the air, mixed with lightning arcs, tearing everything to shreds.
The sea around the island's edge was also pushed away by the powerful collision, creating a strange, concave basin. The terrible aftershock also hit the main island base, but the other instructors remained unmoving.
Lisa's figure instantly appeared at the edge of the wide, flat ground. She stretched out her hand, and a massive psychokinetic force formed a visible crystal wall, blocking the torrent of air. It was beautiful and orderly, and the more than 200 children, including Yelena, watched with starry eyes, full of envy and admiration.
"The power of a storm, similar to the power of the cosmos. It's powerful, and also has a sacred, ancient feel." Lisa watched the battle on the island ahead, her mind analyzing the power controlling the storm. She concluded that the invader's identity was extraordinary, perhaps an ancient race or a divine one. "We need to focus on ourselves now and learn more about the outside world," Lisa reminded herself.
As she focused on protecting the children, she suddenly felt something was wrong and turned her head to the left. Her eyes were sharp as a hawk's. She instantly moved sideways, as if teleporting, and appeared in an open space about fifty meters away. She reached out and seemed to grab the air, holding it in place.
"It's very well-hidden magic, but the arrogance in your bones can't be hidden from me," Lisa said coldly, and her slender, white hand squeezed like an iron clamp.
"Huuu..."
A sound of discomfort escaped as if a throat was being choked. A green light and shadow passed before her, revealing a man in green armor with a horned helmet. He had black, slightly curly long hair and a handsome, pale face. He was Loki, and he was being strangled by Lisa. His face was flushed, and his feet were off the ground.
"You... you can see... see through my magic..." Loki's expression was a mix of agony and disbelief that his deception magic had been exposed.
After falling from the Bifrost, he and Thor had felt the danger nearby. Loki was not like Thor; he preferred strategy over brute force. So the moment they arrived on Midgard, he had used his deception magic to stay away from his brother. Sure enough, a second later, he saw several figures like meteors charging toward Thor with a terrifying aura, launching a world-shattering attack.
Loki felt a cold sweat run down his back. If he had just stood next to Thor, he would have had to face that attack head-on. Although he had a god's physique, he didn't think he could endure it. Lucky to have escaped, Loki ran. As for Thor, that fool could fight those terrifying women on his own.
He used this opportunity to sneak onto the main island. But as soon as he stepped foot on it, he saw more than 200 children being protected by several beautiful Midgardians, one of whom had used some unknown means to form a crystal wall to block the shockwaves. Then, he was discovered by that same woman. She had appeared before him instantly, seen through his magic, and caught him.
Loki was filled with disbelief. He believed his deception magic was among the best in the Nine Realms. The only people who could see through it were Odin, his mother Frigga, and Heimdall, who was born with a gaze that could see across all Nine Realms. Even Thor couldn't see through it.
And yet, in the backward world of Midgard, another such being had appeared—and she was so powerful that he could feel the breath of death from her.
