"...without causing any harm to anybody!" Seraphina's mind raced with strategies to delay Freya as she walked to the training ground.
Approaching the area, she could see that Freya was finishing up her routine, clearly preparing to leave.
"Okay, that's what I will do!" Seraphina reached a conclusion in her mind and her shoulders raised unnoticeably with confidence.
Meanwhile, Kade who had seen her immediately she stepped onto the training ground, abandoned his training and strode over to her, his face lighting up with genuine warmth.
"Seraphina! What brings you here?" His voice was completely different when he spoke to her, as always; soft, caring, protective.
She smiled back at him warmly before replying him;
"I want to train. I've been feeling useless watching everyone else train to become stronger and prepare for future conflicts while I sit idle."
Concern crept up on Kade's face and he firmly shook his head.
