More blood spattered on both the ground and Seraphina's training pants as she kept coughing violently.
There was a collective gasp from the crowd, which was followed immediately by a deafening silence, as everybody was taken aback.
"Seraphina!" Kade's anguished roar shattered the silence that had befallen the area.
He rushed to her side, catching her as she doubled over. His eyes were blazing with fury and confusion as he looked up at Freya.
"What the hell did you do?" He demanded angrily.
Freya stared at her own hands in horror, watching the dark energy fade as quickly as it had appeared.
"No, no, no... What have I done?" Freya's eyes were almost bulging out of their sockets as she looked between her hands and Seraphina who was still coughing out blood.
"Soraya!" The name ripped from her throat in a scream and her feet began carrying her in a run to where Seraphina was, even though the distance was just a stone throw.
