Chapter 15 - Chapter 14

"How do you know where I live, and what are you doing here?" Alessia asked, feeling a little nervous as she eyed Marco warily. She hadn't expected to see him again, especially not outside her home.

Marco pushed off from the car and took a step closer to Alessia, his eyes fixed on hers. "I have my ways," he said, his voice low and smooth. "And I'm here because we need to talk."

Alessia's instincts told her to be cautious, but a part of her was curious about what Marco wanted to discuss. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded slightly, inviting him to continue.

"Let's go inside, so we can talk better," Marco suggested, his eyes locked on Alessia's as he nodded towards her front door.

Alessia hesitated for a moment, unsure if she wanted to let Marco into her home. But something about his calm and confident demeanor put her at ease, and she nodded slightly, stepping aside to let him pass.

As Marco walked into her living room, Alessia couldn't help but notice the way he seemed to fill the space with his presence. She closed the door behind him and followed him into the room, her heart beating slightly faster with anticipation.

Her place was small compared to his lavish penthouse, but it was cozy and intimate, reflecting Alessia's warm and inviting personality. Marco made himself comfortable on the couch, his eyes scanning the room as he took in the simple yet elegant decor.

He waited for Alessia to sit, his gaze following her as she moved to the kitchen and came back with a glass of water, and dropped it on the side stool beside Marco. She finally sat down on the couch across from him, her eyes fixed on his as she waited for him to speak.

The silence between them was palpable, but Marco seemed completely at ease, his expression calm and composed. Alessia, on the other hand, was struggling to keep her nerves in check, her mind racing with questions about why Marco was here and what he wanted to talk about.

"I'll go straight to the point," Marco said, his voice firm and commanding. "Here is a marriage contract. Sign it." He pulled out a document from his pocket and dropped it on the table in front of Alessia.

Alessia's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the document, her mind reeling with questions. "A marriage contract?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. "What are you talking about?"

Marco's expression turned serious, his eyes piercing as he spoke. "Your mom is in the hospital, and you can't afford her medical bills," he stated bluntly. "I'm offering you a solution. Marry me, and I'll take care of your mom's medical expenses. I'll make sure she receives the best care possible."

Alessia's eyes widened in shock as she stared at Marco, her mind struggling to reconcile the man standing before her with the one who had saved her and been kind to her in Paris. What had gotten into him? she wondered. Why was he being so cold and calculating now?

She felt a shiver run down her spine as Marco's gaze bore into hers, his eyes gleaming with a hard, determined light. This was a side of him she had never seen before, and it frightened her.
