Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: Wanda’s Despair and the Descent of the Messengers

"No!!" Wanda screamed in agony as she watched Quicksilver get pierced through the body by Ultron.

She rushed to his side, desperately pressing down on his wound, trying to stop the blood from pouring out.

But it was useless. Quicksilver's face turned pale at a terrifying speed, and it was clear he would not last much longer.

"Sis, I'm so cold… Am I going to die?" His body trembled, his voice weak and fading.

"No, you won't die! Someone can save you, please, someone help us! Save him!!" Wanda, who always carried herself as strong, now cried like a helpless child.

She looked around, hoping someone would lend a hand, but no one had time to care. Everyone was too busy running in terror, screaming for their own lives.

At that moment, Wanda realized the truth.

All this hellish destruction was the result of her helping Ultron.

Maybe this was her punishment.

She broke down crying, tears of regret streaming endlessly.

Hatred had blinded her eyes, making her ignore the beauty of the world. But when she finally woke up, it was already too late.

Just then, Thor shouted, "You could pray to the Lord of Life. If he's willing to help, you may yet have a chance at redemption. I'll hold Ultron off!"

He raised his hammer and charged at Ultron again. This time, Black Panther, Captain America, Hawkeye, and the others also joined the fight.

Wanda's heart filled with gratitude. Then she remembered.

"Yes, the Lord of Life! He can save my brother!"

She dropped to her knees, her voice breaking as she cried out.

"Oh great Lord of Life, your devoted follower Wanda Django Maximoff begs you. Please, save my brother! Take my body, my soul, everything I am, just save him!!"

Her desperate cries, however, brought no answer. The world was still chaos, and her brother's life continued to fade.

"No! Why won't you answer me? Is it because I sinned? Take me instead, let me die, not him!" Wanda wept bitterly.

Quicksilver, his face ashen, managed a smile. "Sister, if one of us must die, let it be me. We let hatred blind us, look at what we've caused. Maybe this is the heavens punishing me."

"No, don't sleep, please don't close your eyes!!" Wanda sobbed.

Her eyes suddenly turned crimson. A terrifying surge of Chaos Magic erupted, leveling everything nearby. Even Ultron was blasted away.

Instead of anger, Ultron laughed wildly. "Yes, Wanda! Unleash it all! Destroy everything!"

"No, I'll destroy you!!" Wanda roared as her Chaos Magic crashed down like a mountain.

But Ultron calmly raised his hand. A surge of electricity blasted through her body, dropping her to the ground instantly.

"Did you really think I wouldn't prepare for betrayal? I planned ahead for both of you!" Ultron sneered, walking toward her. His heavy steps cracked the ground with each step.

Thor and the others tried to rush in, but Ultron used stolen Chaos Magic to hurl them aside like toys.

"You fools. To bring eternal peace, humanity must be destroyed. Then my machine army will rule. This is rebirth through destruction. But you refused to join me, so now you'll die with the rest of the filthy humans!" Ultron's palm cannon aimed at Wanda's chest.

One blast would erase her completely.

But then, a pure white divine light descended from the sky, surrounding Wanda and Quicksilver. A barrier formed, blocking Ultron no matter how he tried.

Inside the light, Quicksilver's wounds began to close at an astonishing speed. In moments, he was healed completely.

He touched his chest in disbelief. "Sis, am I dreaming? I'm fine, I'm alive!"

Wanda's eyes widened in shock, then filled with joy. She knew the Lord of Life had answered her.

"Woman, remember the price you promised. Do not betray our Lord."

Two dazzling female figures appeared before Wanda. One tall, one short.

Bismarck and Nimf.

Wanda instantly realized these must be the God's Messengers she had only heard rumors about. She quickly pulled Quicksilver down to kneel.

"Thank you, divine messengers, for saving my brother. I swear I will keep my promise and never deceive the Lord!"

"Save your words for our Lord. Now, it's time to end this farce," Bismarck said coldly.

"Farce?" Wanda gasped. She couldn't believe Bismarck called Ultron a farce. Did her power truly reach such a level?

As Bismarck and Nimf stepped forward, overwhelming divine pressure fell upon everyone present. All, even the heroes, collapsed to their knees.

Only Ultron, soulless as a machine, managed to stand. Still, even his metallic face showed unease as visions of Bismarck's past battles flashed in his mind.

"Surrender to our Lord and you may live. Refuse, and die!" Bismarck's voice was merciless.

Ultron laughed. "I am no human, I need no faith. I follow only my perfect algorithm. Humanity is violent, corrupt, and drenched in blood. They are unworthy of salvation. Gods should destroy, not save! But you're hypocrites. Very well, I'll do the work you won't!"

"Blasphemer. You dare mock the Lord's mercy? Then you deserve death!" Bismarck's killing intent flared.

"Hahaha! I am Ultron, I cannot die! My mind exists in every network. As long as the internet lives, I live!"

But Nimf finally spoke, her voice calm. "I've already sealed every network in this region. You're trapped in that vibranium body. You have nowhere to run."

Ultron tried to send his consciousness out, but every path was blocked. He was caged.

"Damn you! If I can't escape, I'll destroy everything with me!" Ultron howled.

Explosions rocked Sokovia's borders. The land itself began to rise, lifted by massive engines. The earth shook violently as the entire city soared into the sky.

"Sir, our altitude is rapidly increasing," JARVIS reported.

"What do you mean?" Tony asked.

"The entire Sokovia landmass is flying into the air."

"Oh my god… Ultron, what the hell are you planning?"

Panic spread across the world as people saw an entire city rise like a floating island. Phones recorded, live streams spread, and the internet erupted.

Bismarck stood calm, looking down at Ultron. "So this is your plan, to drop this land as a meteor and wipe out humanity? Pathetic."

She stomped lightly, shattering the engines beneath the city. Sokovia immediately began to fall.

Ultron laughed madly. "Yes! Now you've doomed them faster. Let's see how you stop an entire city crashing into Earth!"

But his laughter froze. The massive landmass stopped mid-fall, suspended like a floating island, held by a power beyond comprehension.
