Chapter 140 - Chapter 140 I Can't Wait To Do It

Looking at the now-closed bedroom door,

Su Qing thought to herself that the young man had completely ignored her, letting her do whatever she wanted and paying little attention to her.

Her initial nervousness and inexplicable emotions completely dissipated.

At that moment, Su Qing simply thought that he hadn't changed the dressing yet, and that she had simply disinfected it while outside.

And there were not only topical medications, but also some that needed to be taken internally.

However, staring at the closed bedroom door, Su Qing fell into deep thought.

She bit her lip and paced back and forth in the living room several times before finally mustering the courage to knock on Jiang Sui's door.

But this time, before she even raised her hand, the boy emerged from the room.

He had clearly changed his clothes.

The room was no longer as dark as before, but rather much brighter. The boy's hair was damp and misty, his eyes half-covered. He had changed into long-sleeved pajamas, and a blanket was tucked into his arms.

Had he brought her a blanket?

Jiang Sui's house had only one bedroom, a one-bedroom, one-living room house. However, there were two bathrooms: one outside, one inside. Strangely, the outside one only had a toilet, no bathroom, while the master bedroom had a bathroom.

Thinking Jiang Sui was offering her a blanket, Su Qing reached out to take it, but the boy dodged her.

Drops of water dripped onto the thin blanket, leaving faint circles.

"I'll sleep outside."

The boy's voice brooked no refusal, not even space for negotiation. He shoved Su Qing into the bedroom and closed the door.

Su Qing stared at the closed door, a flicker of emotion in her eyes, and rubbed her fingertips.

A few drops of water still boiled on the floor, and the air was still thick with the faint scent of the boy's shower gel, a refreshing, sweet aftertaste that was somewhat captivating.

Su Qing bit her lip.

His ankle was still injured, and he was showering like that.

Pushing the door open, Su Qing walked over to the sofa without a second thought. The boy, with long eyelashes, was holding his phone, texting. The brightness of the screen illuminated his handsome face, making it look incredibly pale.

So pale that the few scars on his face were glaring.

As Su Qing's figure landed beside the boy, a ray of light was blocked.

Jiang Sui's eyes fluttered for a moment, but then he quickly calmed down. He pressed the off button on his phone, his eyes turning to a cold gaze at Su Qing.

"What else do you want to do? Do you really want me to do something?"

The boy's voice was deep and frightened, his eyes dark.

A cold smile curled his thin lips.

Was he trying to scare her away with these words? Su Qing wasn't stupid; she just realized it a little late. At the beginning of the meal, he'd deliberately treated her that way, causing her to eat a lot.

And just now, he'd offered her his bedroom.

From beginning to end—no, not just from beginning to end, but from the very beginning—Jiang Sui hadn't seemed to have done anything out of the ordinary, nor had he done anything excessive.

Since they'd met, he'd never done anything out of the ordinary to her.

Even though she knew all this deep down, Su Qing still felt a little sad after hearing these words.

"I'll apply the medicine for you."

Su Qing lowered her eyes and half-knelt in front of Jiang Sui, placing the medicine box she had been holding on the coffee table.

She didn't deliberately say anything harsh to the boy; her voice, soft and gentle, was quite pleasant.

The boy on the sofa, however, remained quite indifferent as he watched her unload the contents of the medicine box. He even turned his back to her, clearly showing a lack of cooperation.

Su Qing didn't dare touch him too hard, for fear of damaging his wound.

Su Qing also found it difficult to pull at his blanket. Having been mentally preparing herself, she reached out to tug at the boy's blanket.

"Jiang Sui, if you don't apply the medicine, I won't go back to sleep. Let's just hold on."

The girl bit her lip, then retracted her stiff fingers. Then, helpless and even a bit resigned, she sat down on the ground.

When Jiang Sui turned around and saw Su Qing sitting on the ground, his eyes darkened.

"Su Qing!"

His voice was heavy, thick with anger.

"Have you learned to threaten me?"

Thin, petite, and quite stubborn, no one could persuade her. The girl was completely convinced and met Jiang Sui's eyes fearlessly.

She nodded.

"Yes. Do you want to apply the medicine now?"

She looked as if she'd get up and apply the medicine right away, as long as you agree.

Jiang Sui frowned.

"Hurry up."

He couldn't bear to see her sad, so he compromised, and Su Qing decided to stop while she was ahead.

Just looking at that happy face, his brows and eyes wide open, the boy pursed his lips and spoke softly.

"Hurry up and finish applying the medicine and get back inside, or I really won't know what I'll do to you."

In the stagnant air of the room, Su Qing's fingers met those deep eyes. Instinctively, she trembled with fear. She bit her lip but said nothing.

The boy lifted his trouser leg. It didn't hurt much, actually. Pain and wound were things he never took seriously.

Now that he had showered, his skin was very white, and the visible wound was even more shocking.

His brows didn't furrow. Su Qing applied the medicine very slowly this time, and the procedure was much more complicated than the previous time outside. She even looked up doctors online.

She had always found these kinds of picture-based medical consultations unreliable. But since Jiang Sui wasn't going to the hospital, Su Qing secretly took a photo of Jiang Sui's wound and sent it to the doctor while she ordered food.

The doctor's advice was still to go to the hospital.

Jiang Sui's nonchalant, almost indifferent, air of indifference distressed Su Qing.

So she applied an ice compress, painstakingly disinfected it, applied medicine, and then wrapped it in gauze. Then she lifted the boy's legs on the mat, slightly higher than his head.

"This will help circulate blood."

It's a medical method, and it's quite effective. Su Qing was afraid the boy would put his legs down, so she said something to Jiang Sui before leaving.

"I'll still come out and check on you from time to time. If you put them down, I'll stay outside with you."

She was serious, not even realizing that anything she said was inappropriate.

The boy raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, come out and together with me. I can't wait to do it?"

Su Qing only then realized what she'd said wasn't quite right. Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she bit her lip.

"Jiang Sui, don't put your leg down!"

Leaning over, she gently pressed her lips to Jiang Sui's forehead.

Then, under the boy's gaze, she fled with somewhat unsteady steps.
