Chapter 17 - The Queen Descends!

"Such weird dish names…"

Mo Li muttered under his breath as he searched them one by one.

But just as he unlocked his phone, a Weibo notification popped up:

[Eden appears in a Bilibili livestream — What kind of game is Honkai Impact 3rd? (Breaking!)]

"Weibo trending? Eden?"

Mo Li didn't think twice and tapped it.

The moment the page loaded, his eyes were immediately drawn to the attached screenshots.

They were clearly from a Bilibili livestream.

On screen was a girl with wine-red hair and breathtakingly perfect features.

Next to her sat another beauty with long pink hair—so flawless she seemed to have stepped right out of a manga.

"That's Eden and Elysia!!"

Only then did Mo Li realize.

"Right… if Bronya and the others are here, then it's not strange for the other in-game girls to appear in reality too."

Suppressing his surprise, he continued reading the trending post.

By the end, the pieces clicked in his mind.

In this world, Eden was a top-tier pop diva.

The reason he hadn't connected the dots earlier was simply a case of "hiding in plain sight."

Or maybe because he barely paid attention to celebrities at all.

"Girls, do you follow entertainment news?"

The sudden question drew puzzled looks.

"I mean… superstar Eden. You know her?"

At the mention of her name, Fu Hua could have spoken up,

but Himeko beat her to it, teasing—

"Oh~ Boss, don't tell me you've got your eye on Miss Eden?"

Mo Li shot her a glare.

"Himeko, you're no less stunning than Eden—why don't you think I'm after you instead?"

"Alright, enough nonsense. I'll just send you the link. Take a look yourselves."

He forwarded the Weibo post to the studio group chat.

The girls immediately pulled out their phones to check.

"Eh? Boss, did you hire Eden for advertising?"

"Ah, so that's why our numbers are so good—this pop star must've helped a lot."

"Of course, the biggest credit still goes to you, boss~"

Mo Li shook his head.

"I never asked Eden to promote the game. I have no idea why they were playing it on stream…

But now that you mention it, I am thinking about collaborating with her.

Any of you know how to contact her?"

The girls shook their heads.

"We don't really follow celebrities."

"I see…"

Even so, their curiosity was piqued.

They weren't star-chasers, but the idea of working with a famous singer still sounded exciting.

Bronya closed her phone and looked at Mo Li.

"Boss, how exactly would you collaborate with Eden?"

"Just a thought for now. We'll talk specifics later."

Durandal didn't seem interested—her main concern was her dinner order.

"Boss, did you get my soy-sauce chicken rice?"

"Uh… ordering it now."

Meanwhile, in Elysia's livestream…

After playing all afternoon, Eden had just reached the final chapter of the main story.

In it, the plot introduced Schicksal's S-rank Valkyrie Durandal,

and another elegant yet deadly battle maid—Rita.

Even before Rita appeared, her alluring, composed voice had chat buzzing with excitement.

When she finally entered the scene, the reaction exploded—

her curvaceous figure, graceful demeanor, and thigh-high stockings instantly captivated both 2D and 3D audiences alike.

As more characters appeared, Elysia found herself genuinely falling for the game.

Sure, the beautiful girls were part of the charm,

but the gripping story was pulling her in even more.

She couldn't wait to see what happened next.

The story advanced:

Himeko joined forces with Anti-Entropy, using Schicksal's battle against a Judgement-class Honkai beast as cover to infiltrate HQ and rescue someone.

From Rita's conversation with Fu Hua, players learned that Fu Hua wasn't truly an antagonist—

she had her own unspoken reasons for capturing Kiana.

By Chapter 8, nearly every stage included a cutscene.

This approach made it far easier for players to immerse themselves in the plot—

a first for this world's gaming scene, where "story" usually meant a couple of throwaway lines,

or nothing at all beyond a vague setting.

Honkai Impact 3rd was breaking that mold.

Playing it felt like binge-watching an anime—except you were part of it.

That sense of personal involvement was far more addictive.

"Wow! This maid is so strong—Himeko's mechs don't stand a chance!"

As events unfolded, even Himeko and Dr. Tesla were captured.

Half of Theresa's rescue plan had already failed.

"No way… Himeko's an A-rank Valkyrie! How can she lose with all those mechs?"

"Hehe~ Eden, did you forget? The maid was introduced as an S-rank Valkyrie~"

Elysia quickly added, sensing Eden's disappointment:

"But Fu Hua's still there—she won't let Auntie Himeko get hurt. Don't worry~"

"Mm…"

Eden nodded and continued.

The perspective shifted to Theresa.

To save Kiana, she finally stopped holding back Mei,

unlocking part of the Conquest Gem's power for her—

a huge boost in strength.

But before they could rescue Kiana,

Kiana woke up on her own…

And created a space rift—

pulling Mei into her arms in a full princess carry.

Elysia's eyes sparkled at the scene, a smile slipping out.

"Hehe~"

But something felt… off.

Kiana's tone and demeanor were strange.

"Wait… did Kiana just turn into a Herrscher?"
