Chapter 18 - The Queen Steps on Me!!

The cutscene ended, and gameplay resumed.

To Eden and Elysia's surprise, the chapter's final boss turned out to be none other than—Kiana!!

"Sisters fighting each other?"

Eden was full of question marks. This "miHoYo" writer was way too cruel, putting something like this in the story.

The sweeter the bond earlier, the more brutal it felt to see them at odds now.

Still, everyone had seen plenty of plots like this before—it wasn't exactly poisonous writing—just… hard to watch.

"Ahhh~ so our cute Kiana has turned into a queen!

Is that why this chapter is called The Queen Descends?"

Even with her favorite character becoming a villain, Elysia remained as cheerful as ever.

On screen, the Herrscher of the Void Kiana floated in midair, her long snow-white hair flowing freely.

Her clothes had become extravagant, her gown fluttering gracefully as she gazed down on everyone with utter contempt…

The aura of a queen was simply overwhelming.

The livestream chat exploded in shock.

Even Eden nodded in awe.

"Worthy of being a Herrscher—the presence really is that strong."

She controlled Mei, attacking the Herrscher over and over—

only to find her blows felt like nothing more than a back scratch.

As Mei's HP nearly hit zero, Eden panicked.

"Ely, Ely! Help me—I can't beat Kiana…"

Elysia giggled.

"Oh, it's fine~ Even if your character dies, you can just revive~"

Still, she took over the keyboard.

Unfortunately, the moment she did, Mei's health dropped to just 1 point.

In the headphones, Mei's voice played:

"I… will never give up, just as you've never given up on me…"

Hearing Mei's stubborn yet weakened tone made Eden's heart skip.

The deep bond between sisters, paired with this clash, could move even someone who already knew the plot.

"Huh~ my HP just filled back up! Looks like Mei can't actually die in this fight."

But even with the invincibility buff, the Herrscher still overpowered her.

Mei desperately parried her attacks while speaking heartfelt lines, trying to awaken Kiana…

At this point, both Eden and the viewers were drawn in completely.

The chat grew silent—everyone was watching, quietly cheering Mei on, hoping she could bring Kiana back.

Suddenly, the scene froze and shifted from gameplay to an anime cutscene.

Kiana, as the Herrscher of the Void, was gripping Mei by the throat, her eyes utterly devoid of emotion.

Eden's chest tightened. She was fully immersed now—

Mei's sorrow was her sorrow, Mei's joy was her joy, and every danger Mei faced set her heart on edge.

Elysia, in contrast, remained upbeat.

"Hehe~ more cutscenes~"

This one was even smoother and more beautiful than before.

Just a few seconds of footage showed the insane amount of effort the dev team had put in—this was anime movie quality.

The chat was delighted, though Eden barely noticed—her attention was glued to the scene.

Just as Mei was about to be killed, an Anti-Entropy mech swooped in to save her.

Rows upon rows of mechs followed, accompanied by urgent, grand music.

The sight of countless mechs charging toward the Herrscher was breathtaking.

Even the scrolling chat slowed to a trickle.

"Whoa~ with so many mechs, the Herrscher shouldn't be able to handle it, right?"

"OHHH this is so hype!!"

"Herrscher, give Kiana back!!"

As the music hit, the Queen raised both hands—the sky instantly darkened.

Behind her, countless void rifts opened, spewing forth a swarm of Honkai beasts.

In that moment, she truly looked like a sovereign, commanding legions with a mere gesture.

[OHHHH!!]

[Too cool!!]

[QUEEN STEP ON ME!!]

Beautiful girls, mechs, the Queen's world-crushing gaze, and the sheer hype of the moment pushed the audience to their limit.

Eden stared blankly at the grand scene and the soaring vocals.

Games can be like this? They're this serious? Why not just make an anime outright?

Elysia, lively as ever, was equally dazzled.

"Waaah~ the Herrscher is so cool! I'm falling more and more in love with this game~"

The mechs and Honkai beasts clashed violently.

The Queen's narration revealed her deep nihilism—she outright declared her intent to destroy the world.

"I… AM the Honkai!!"

A line as iconic as it was chilling.

But the CG wasn't over.

The mechs wouldn't let her rampage unchecked.

In perfect formation, they switched to ranged weapons, aiming straight at the Queen hovering in the sky.

A storm of cannon fire lit up the night, streaking toward her like a meteor shower.

In just two minutes, countless players found themselves liking this villain—the Herrscher of the Void—just a little too much.

As the firestorm bore down on her, some viewers actually felt worried.

The Queen, however, only smiled faintly, utterly unimpressed.

Then—silence.

She raised one hand and snapped her fingers.

Snap!

The crisp sound echoed in the air, as if striking the hearts of every viewer.

The grand music roared back to life, perfectly matching the epic visuals.

Goosebumps rippled through the audience.

Countless void rifts opened again—

every single shell fired by the mechs vanished into them.

When the last shell disappeared, the rifts closed—

only to reopen behind the mechs.

Their own barrage erupted out again, consuming them in a sea of explosions.

In that instant, the Queen's overwhelming might was laid bare.

No matter how many mechs you had, she could crush them with a single hand.

This… was the power of a world-ending Herrscher.
