Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: I Didn't Let You Have Your Fun

Chapter 33: I Didn't Let You Have Your Fun

Konoha Casino.

Amidst the clamor, Hoshikawa let out a bored yawn.

He shifted his body, finding a more comfortable position in Tsunade's warm and soft embrace.

But every time he was about to fall asleep, the alluring scent and the various captivating sights around him made his eyes pop open again.

At your age, can you even fall asleep?

Hoshikawa felt a pang of regret.

Unfortunately, his system didn't have functions like a phone or computer; otherwise, he could've killed some time.

After gambling a few times with Hoshikawa, Tsunade learned that as long as he was by her side, she could neutralize her bad luck.

So, under the pretext that children shouldn't gamble, she no longer let him participate.

After an unknown amount of time, Hoshikawa heard shouting.

He subconsciously perked up, asking, "Is it over?"

"Yep." Tsunade's lips curved into a slight smile; she was in a great mood. "My treat. Let's go eat some young chicken."

"Okay." The words "young chicken" immediately made Hoshikawa's stomach rumble.

The two left the casino and headed to a nearby izakaya.

"Come back again soon, old timer." A seductive voice rang out.

Hoshikawa instinctively turned his head. Wow, she's dedicated.

Although it was March, the weather was still quite cold.

And this young lady, with her curvaceous figure, was wearing a very revealing kimono, as if it were some kind of battle armor.

"Hahaha! I'll definitely be back tomorrow!" Beside her was a white-haired young man, who patted her butt with a lecherous expression.

Hoshikawa was slightly stunned.

Oh no!

I sense killing intent!

He looked up at Tsunade and saw her face had turned dark.

It's Jiraiya.

He immediately guessed the identity of the white-haired young man.

What a free spirit, enjoying the nightlife.

Hoshikawa frowned and retreated behind Tsunade.

He didn't even have to think about what would happen next; he already knew.

I'm smart as hell!

"Why does this feel familiar?" Jiraiya scratched his head.

His expression suddenly changed, and he quickly turned around.

Upon seeing Tsunade, his drunken state immediately sobered up.

Jiraiya's face went white in an instant.

I've learned my lesson, please have mercy.

"Tsunade, it's all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding!" Jiraiya forced a smile and quickly said.

Bang!

Tsunade clenched her fist and threw a punch.

Jiraiya was sent flying, crashing into a wall, forming a 'T' shape.

"Let's go." Tsunade glanced at him, took Hoshikawa's hand, and turned to leave.

"Ptooey, ptooey!" Jiraiya spat out some dust and got up from the ground.

He looked at Tsunade's retreating figure, wanting to cry.

He finally got to go out for a night, and of course he runs into her.

But who was that little guy?

Aside from developing the Rasengan with Minato Namikaze, Jiraiya had been writing his new novel lately.

Under the guidance of his life mentor Raikou, his writing was inspired.

He hadn't been paying attention to Hoshikawa, so he had no impression of him.

Izakaya.

"That was Jiraiya," Tsunade said with displeasure. "Don't ever learn from him."

"I won't," Hoshikawa quickly promised.

At least for now he wouldn't dare. Maybe after he could beat Tsunade.

"This is for you." Tsunade's tone softened as she handed him a bankbook.

"...?" Hoshikawa looked at the bankbook, then looked at her with a surprised expression.

"What's with that face?" Tsunade snorted. "600,000 ryo, your share of the winnings."

"I just wasn't expecting it," Hoshikawa said, closing the bankbook, still in disbelief.

"I haven't fallen so low that I'd steal a child's money," Tsunade rolled her eyes, emphasizing, "I'm one of the Legendary Sannin, after all."

"Am I the first person to receive money from you?" Hoshikawa asked with great curiosity.

"What are you talking about?!" Tsunade asked, annoyed. "Is that what you think of me?"

Yes.

But Hoshikawa didn't dare say it, afraid he'd be punched to death.

"You're the second," Tsunade picked up her sake cup. "Stop with the nonsense and drink!"

The first was Nawaki.

As for everyone else, they had borrowed and never repaid.

It wasn't that Tsunade didn't want to repay them; it was that she had no money to.

Before meeting Hoshikawa, her gambling career was one of loss after loss, leaving her completely broke.

Where would she get the money to repay anyone?

Hoshikawa looked at her as she drank and couldn't help but smile.

Besides her fists, everything else about her was soft.

He ate his meal while thinking about what to do with the money.

Besides forging a sword, he didn't have any pressing need for money.

And he was sure that "Taimanin" would earn several times more than 600,000 ryo.

A thought came to Hoshikawa.

After dinner, Tsunade, her face flushed with a soft blush, waved at him and walked towards her house.

"Tsunade-sama, the utility pole," Hoshikawa reminded her.

Tsunade shook her head, only to realize she had veered off course and was about to run into a utility pole.

Her dazed expression was a bit of a cute contrast.

Hoshikawa averted his gaze, walked through the tree-lined avenue, and arrived at the commercial street.

After a shopping spree, he returned home.

Hoshikawa pushed the door open, and two large bags of things dropped onto the floor with a thud.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead; he was grateful for the 30% arm strength boost from 'Ninja Tools Mastery,' otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to carry them back.

"What's this?" Shinku Yūhi asked with a puzzled expression.

Behind him, Kurenai Yūhi peeked her head out, looking adorable.

"Gifts for you two," Hoshikawa waved at Kurenai Yūhi. "The bag on the left is for you."

"What, what?" Kurenai Yūhi's face immediately flushed slightly with excitement.

She ran to Hoshikawa, opened the bag, and then let out a cheer.

Shinku Yūhi took a look and was stunned.

Toys, snacks, clothes—all the things a little girl would love were in there.

He had never bought so many things for Kurenai Yūhi.

"Where did you get the money?" Shinku Yūhi asked, bewildered.

"From investing with Tsunade-sama," Hoshikawa said with a smile. "Shinku-ojisan, this bag is for you."

Investing?

Shinku Yūhi opened his bag, and a flicker of emotion passed through his eyes.

Compared to Kurenai Yūhi's gifts, his seemed very expensive.

But why were there also powerful medicinal ingredients like ginseng, deer antler, and deer penis?

"You shouldn't have, Hoshikawa," Shinku Yūhi said, his face filled with emotion.

"Just think of it as tuition," Hoshikawa said nonchalantly.

"In that case," Shinku Yūhi's spirits lifted. "I'll teach you a new genjutsu tonight."

A few minutes later, his expression became blank and he was questioning his life.

Because Hoshikawa learned too quickly.

I'm sorry, I couldn't let you have your fun.

[D-rank Ninjutsu Entry: Demonic Illusion: Fox-Possession Technique.]

[Trigger Condition: Successfully perform this ninjutsu.]

[Effect: This ninjutsu automatically reaches proficient level.]

The three genjutsu Hoshikawa had learned before were E-rank; this one was D-rank.

In terms of effects, it certainly deserved the rank.

It could make people caught in the illusion wander aimlessly, as if possessed by a fox.

By the time they came to their senses, they would have already expended a large amount of physical energy.

And it was also an area-of-effect genjutsu.

They say foxes are demons, but this one was clearly a sign of good fortune.
