Chapter 34: A Bad Woman Who Plays with Feelings

Morning.

Tsunade woke up.

She held her forehead, which was throbbing faintly.

Although she was a ninja, she never used chakra to sober up when she drank, so she always had a hangover.

Tsunade looked down.

Her clothes were half-undone, revealing a large expanse of her fair skin.

Her skin rose and fell slightly with her breathing.

She recalled that she had fallen asleep while half-undressing the night before.

Tsunade didn't care and put her clothes on.

She was home alone anyway, so there was no risk of indecent exposure.

"Huh?" Tsunade suddenly smelled a fragrance.

It was coming from the living room.

Her body tensed slightly, ready to attack.

"Why is it you?" Tsunade pushed the door open and saw Hoshikawa.

"Good morning, Tsunade-sama," Hoshikawa waved at her. "I've come to bring you breakfast and some gifts."

Tsunade glanced at the rice balls on the table, then at the large bag of gifts on the floor, her face filled with confusion.

"Salmon rice balls," Hoshikawa said casually. "They're a bit expensive, but the taste is really good."

"What's going on?" Tsunade picked up a rice ball, took a bite, and asked.

"I bought them with the 600,000 ryo you gave me yesterday," Hoshikawa explained. "Since it was my first big sum of money, I wanted to buy some meaningful gifts."

"Then why give them to me?" Tsunade chewed the rice ball, her pink tongue licking her lips as she asked.

Because I'm kind.

Hoshikawa made up a reason. "In Konoha, there are only four people I'm close to: the Headmistress, Shinku-ojisan, Kurenai, and you."

He spent about 300,000 ryo buying gifts for Tsunade, Shinku Yūhi, and Kurenai Yūhi.

As for the remaining 300,000 ryo, he planned to give it to Nonō Yakushi and the orphanage.

Tsunade's movements paused slightly, and she felt a rare feeling of something different.

She was right yesterday; this little guy is definitely going to trick a lot of girls in the future.

"Did you use up all the money?" Tsunade swallowed a few bites and picked up a second rice ball.

"Yes." Hoshikawa nodded, then added, "But Tsunade-sama, you don't have to give me any more money."

"I never said I was going to give you money." Tsunade's lips curled up as she laughed. "I meant that after we finish eating, we're going to the casino."

Give me back my touching feeling!

Hoshikawa was furious.

She was a bad woman who just played with his feelings!

"I have to go to school. You go gambling by yourself," Hoshikawa said, standing up.

"See you later, little guy," Tsunade said with a smile.

Ten minutes later, at the school gate.

"Morning," Hoshikawa ran into Asuma Sarutobi just as he arrived.

"It's not morning anymore!" Asuma Sarutobi snorted.

He's just a child.

Hoshikawa held no ill will towards him.

After all, Asuma Sarutobi was just a rebellious kid, not a real villain like Obito Uchiha.

As for Kurenai Yūhi, that was a matter of mutual consent.

Hoshikawa had always been a Pure Love God of War.

"I'm going to challenge you in the final exam!" Asuma Sarutobi's gaze was sharp, and he said with a determined face.

"You're welcome anytime," Hoshikawa said with genuine sincerity.

He's here to deliver talent to me.

Good man!

"…?" Asuma Sarutobi was completely confused by Hoshikawa's reaction. "Just you wait!"

He left him with a threat and then turned to walk away.

As Hoshikawa was about to follow him into the classroom, he suddenly heard someone call his name.

He looked back and saw Kakashi Hatake.

"Morning," Hoshikawa greeted him as before.

"I'm planning to graduate early," Kakashi Hatake said bluntly.

Hoshikawa found it strange. So you're graduating; why are you telling me?

"Before I graduate, I want to have a match with you," Kakashi Hatake stated his purpose.

Hoshikawa was a little surprised.

The genius Kakashi is challenging him?

"Of course," Hoshikawa agreed without hesitation. "I'm looking forward to it."

For him, winning was a bonus, and losing meant no real loss.

Why would he refuse?

"Alright," Kakashi Hatake said coolly, hands in his pockets, as he walked away.

The school bell rang.

Hoshikawa, as usual, took out a medical book.

But the difference was that he no longer used a textbook to hide it; he was now doing it openly.

Eichiro spotted Hoshikawa slacking off in an instant.

He wanted to complain but held back, ultimately letting him be.

He couldn't do anything about it. Hoshikawa now had connections with one of the Legendary Sannin, Tsunade.

"How... how did you do that?" Shizune, his deskmate, asked like a curious child.

"Maybe it's just a tacit understanding between men," Hoshikawa said, making things up.

The truth was, he had used his connections.

"..." Shizune naturally didn't believe him.

After class, Hoshikawa closed his medical book. He had been reading for a while and needed to rest his eyes.

"Hoshikawa!" The next moment, Obito Uchiha appeared in front of him.

He had specially come over while Rin Nohara was out using the restroom.

They had been discussing problems every day for a while, and it had pushed him to his limit.

"Something up?" Hoshikawa blinked and asked.

"I'm challenging you!" Obito Uchiha said righteously. "In the final exam!"

Again?

Are you guys doing a tag-team match?

No problem, a three-hit combo with my sword.

"Alright," Hoshikawa nodded slightly.

"I'll definitely beat you down then!" Obito Uchiha's face lit up, and he said proudly.

He wasn't confident in theory, but he was absolutely certain about practical combat.

There were very few students who could use ninjutsu in their first year, and he was one of them.

"Good luck," Hoshikawa said casually, not taking it seriously.

Obito Uchiha huffed angrily and returned to his seat.

After school, Hoshikawa went to the orphanage.

"Where did you get the money?" Nonō Yakushi's heart was shaken as she looked at the neatly stacked 300,000 ryo.

"Tsunade-sama won it," Hoshikawa explained.

"Ah?" Nonō Yakushi was stunned for a moment, then said softly, "If you don't want to tell me the real reason, you don't have to lie to me."

This was like Garen using silence against him.

It was both silent and armor-breaking.

Of course, Hoshikawa was only silent.

For a moment, he didn't know how to refute her.

"Please take it, Headmistress," Hoshikawa said with the most sincere tone he could muster. "It really was given to me by Tsunade-sama."

Nonō Yakushi hesitated for a few seconds, then nodded.

The orphanage really did need money.

For a long time, the funds from Konoha had been controlled by Danzō Shimura.

Nonō Yakushi had to work for him to get the money and security needed to maintain the orphanage.

Time flew by, and it was soon the end of March.

The Ninja Academy welcomed its busiest week.

The final exams for all grades would be completed within this week.

Of course, for the sixth graders, it wasn't a final exam but a graduation exam.

The final exams for the other grades were divided into two days.

The first day was theory, and the second was practical.
