Yukki falls down the mountain and jagged rocks cut him as he tumbles down. It's a painful fall and when he reaches the bottom he coughs.
He then quickly looks around for Nyla. He spots Kaito and Nyla and he runs over to them. "Ms Nyla?!" He asks.
Nyla lifts herself up from Kaito and she's not hurt at all. She dusts herself off as Kaito gets up doing the same. "It appears he shielded me." She says.
Yukki unsheathes his sword and pulls Nyla behind him. "Just who are you?!" Yukki questions. Kaito raises his hands. "I didn't mean to end up here!" Kaito yells back. "What were you doing in that box?!" Yukki asks again, a bit nervous at Kaito's presence.
"I was just taking a nap, it looked comfy." Kaito responds telling the truth. Yukki blinks slowly. "Who naps in random boxes!?" Yukki shouts. "Wait a second..." Kaito thinks. "Did you kidnap me?!!" Kaito yells.
Yukki shakes his head. "NO, you did that to yourself!" Yukki says.
Nyla steps from behind Yukki and approaches Kaito. "Ms Nyla wait!" Yukki yells, but Nyla gets into Kaito's face.
Kaito looks down to her and he smiles. She smiles back with her elegant charm. "He seems friendly Yukki lower your weapon." Nyla says. Yukki hesitantly sheathes his sword, never taking his eyes off Kaito.
Kaito also lowers his hands. "So, where are we?" He asks. Yukki sighs. "From the looks at it, we're in the Crea mountains." Yukki holds his forehead, and Shakes his head. "This is terrible, taking the path it'll take weeks to get to Mozam!" Yukki groans.
Nyla pats his arm. "I'm sure we can find a way back." She says as they look over at Kaito. He's in awe at the mountains he's never seen them before! "Oh wow, Kate's book she read used to talk about rocks that get this big, this is awesome!" He shouts. Nyla smiles awkwardly. "He seems enthusiastic at least!" She tries to be optimistic.
Yukki shakes his head. "That doesn't get us back, I need to return you safely within a week Ms Nyla." Yukki says. Kaito comes over to him. "Why don't we just go over the mountains?!" Kaito happily asks. Yukki considers the idea. "That would be fast enough." He thinks. Nyla smiles at them both. "I think it's worth a try!" She says.
Yukki nods and they see Kaito is wandering off. "I'm not sure how much we can trust this guy." Yukki says. Nyla nods. "But he seems capable." She says and Yukki has to agree.
Yukki's stomach growls, and he realizes he hasn't eaten since the day before. Nyla's stomach growls too, and Kaito laughs, which makes Nyla feel even more embarrassed. "Where are we going to find anything to eat?" Nyla asks. Kaito already went scouting ahead. "We can eat that!" He points to a Giant mountain goat with three eyes. Kaito's mouth waters. "He looks yummy." He says.
Nyla almost throws up. "A-absolutely not!" She shouts. Kaito reaches for his sword but he remembers. "Right, the sword broke." He says. "Hey guy, do you have an extra sword?" Kaito asks Yukki. Yukki reaches for his leg. "Only this small knife, you aren't getting my sword." Yukki says sternly as he tosses Kaito the knife.
Kaito laughs. "Don't worry this will do!" Kaito sneaks down into the grass as the giant goat eats. As he sneaks closer he slows his breath. Kaito reaches his target and in one quick strike he finishes his hunt. He bows to the goat. "Thank you for your sacrifice." Kaito lifts the goat and takes it back to them.
Nyka is struggling not to vomit. "Are you being serious?!" She questions. Kaito begins readying the goat for cooking. "He's serious!!" She panics. Yukki sits down nearby and watches Kaito.
Kaito sets up a fire and he brings out cooking supplies his mom had packed for him. Nyla and Yukki watch him as he seems focused on his cooking.
As time went by and he prepared the food as much as they hated the idea of eating a wild beast. They could not ignore the fact that whatever Kaito was cooking smelled delicious. Nyla even almost caught her mouth watering but she quickly corrected herself.
After another twenty minuets. "All done!" Kaito happily shouts as he pulls out plates. Kaito makes a plate and he goes to hand them to the two of them. "Curry?" Yukki questions. Nyla shudders. "Don't worry Ms, Nyla, i'll try it first." Yukki says as he gulps.
Kaito just smiles proudly. Yukki takes a bite of the curry and his eyes widen. "WAS IT POISON!?" Nyla freaks out. Yukki shakes his head. "No, it's actually really good!" Yukki says. Nyla calms down. "Is it really?" She questions as Kaito still holds a plate for her. "It's a family recipe!" He happily says.
Nyla takes the plate and she takes a seat. She takes a bite and she smiles with joy. "This is like what the chefs cook!" She says as she eats more. The three of them enjoy their meal together.
Nyla places her finished plate down. "It seems we will be traveling together for awhile, may i ask your name?" She asks. "Go ahead and ask." Kaito responds. "That was her asking." Yukki explains. "Oh, sorry. i'm Kaito." He says.
Yukki nods. "I'm Yukki Reitz." "And my name is Nyla Harlow, it is very nice to meet you!" She says and Kaito nods. "You too Nyla." He says.
Yukki's jaw drops. "Who talks that casually to a Harlow!?" He questions. Kaito is confused. "Are they special?" Kaito asks.
Yukki can't believe this. "I-is she special!? You seriously have no idea who she is?" He asks. Kaito shakes his head. Nyla stops him. "It isn't important." She says. "We should begin our travels." She says. Yukki nods. "Right if we go now we could make it in just under a week." He says.
Kaito smiles. "Well what're we waiting for?!" Kaito says happily and he leads the way.
The three of them begin making their way through the mountains. The journey takes hours, As they climb higher Kaito can't help but marvel at the sight behind them. They encounter a rather large one. Yukki places his hands at his sides. "I didn't pack any climbing gear." He says. Kaito pulls out a rope and ties it to himself. "Don't worry i'm a great climber!" He says. Yukki looks at him uninterested. "You think i'm going to trust you, with nothing but a rope to save my life?" Yukki says.
Kaito looks at the rope, and then looks around. "I don't see any other ways." He says with a sly smile. Nyla looks around. "If we walk around it could take the entire day." She says. Yukki looks at Kaito and his rope and just shakes his head. "If we die it's on you." He says as he takes the rope. "Ms Nyla, you be in the middle just in case." Yukki says but then he notices her hands.
"Ms Nyla, have you never climbed before?" He says since Nyla's hands are soft. She shakes her head. "I rarely get out unsupervised, so this is pretty exciting!" She says. Kaito thinks. "I know!" Kaito says. He began tying Nyla to himself. "I can't let you to do that!" Yukki says with his face going red. Nyla is also a bit red. "This is quite bold." She says.
Kaito doesn't understand. "Why not?" He asks. "It's inappropriate!" Yukki yells. "It's climbing?" Kaito says. "My sister used to tie me to her when i was younger." Kaito says. Nyla clears her throat. "Ahem, I think it's fine it's just climbing, nothing more." She says still a bit red. Yukki eyes Kaito. "I'm watching you." He says as he ties the rope around himself.
Kaito begins climbing the rock face with surprising speed. He grabs onto the holds one after another almost instantly and mobilizes his body with precision. Yukki falls behind, wondering how Kaito can climb so fast. Nyla is impressed by Kaito's skill. The climb is still a long one, but they proceed one step at a time. The sun beats down on them as they continue their ascent. Kaito leads the way, using his expert climbing skills to find the best handholds and footholds. Yukki follows close behind. Nyla barely even having to lift a finger as Kaito maneuvers her around too.
The sun eventually begins to become too much. "This heat!" Yukki shouts. Kaito reaches the top and he pulls the other two up.
Yukki sits down, and takes a deep breath. "Finally!" He says. Nyla also takes a breath of relief. "It was quite scary." She says.
Kaito takes his hoodie and shirt off. "Ahh, much better!" Kaito says and Yukki gasps. "Put your clothes back on, you're in the presence of a noble!" Yukki says.
But he and Nyla are distracted by Kaito's body. He has large scars all over the place. "Those look like they hurt." Nyla says. Kaito laughs. "No these came from when i used to train with my dad." He says. "Your dad put those scars on you?" Yukki asks. Kaito nods. "Well he put some of them." Kaito responds.
Nyla continues inspecting. "You must've trained alot." She says and Yukki goes red noticing her staring at Kaito. He throws a white shirt at him. "Put it on!" He shouts. Kaito listens.
Kaito turns around and takes in the sight of the Mountain path now under them and he smiles looking at how high they've climbed. Nyla looks down at it to and she takes a deep breath.
She unties her hair and let's all of her hair blow in the win. Yukki smiles watching Nyla enjoy herself. The three of them sit at the mountainside together. "Kaito how old are you?" Nyla asks. "Fourteen." Kaito responds and Nyla smiles. "We're all the same age." She laughs. "What's your plans when we get to Mozam, ms Nyla?" Yukki asks. Nyla sighs. "Most likely i will be put on an even more strict schedule, my father is probably very worried." She says.
"You don't like what you do?" Kaito asks her. Nyla just looks down. "I don't dislike it, but more freedom would be nice." She says.
Kaito stands up, and stretches. "Well you're out now, so you should have lot's of fun!" Kaito says. "Not by choice." Yukki silently says.
Nyla looks up at Kaito and smiles. "I'm not used to people acting so casually around me." She says to him. Kaito laughs. Yukki stands up too. "We should probably set up camp, it's getting dark." Yukki tells them.
Kaito removes his bag. "I brung camping supplies, only have one tent though." Kaito explains. "Ms Nyla can have the tent." Yukki says.
Kaito and Yukki work hard and get the camp set up quickly.
