Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Time Traveling, The Strongest Thunder (Fat) God!

Thor passed through.

An ordinary college student about to graduate had not been severely beaten by society, had not experienced the lightning strikes necessary for time travel, and had not gone through the standard betrayals before time travel. At the premiere ceremony of Avengers: Alliance 4, the moment Iron Man snapped his fingers on the big screen, he lost consciousness.

When he woke up, he had arrived in Asgard and was attending a banquet.

"Hey, where did the guy in the back row go?"

"Who knows, maybe he left early."

"Probably one of Thanos' funny ones—they all turned gray together."

"Ha ha—"

Originally, this should have been something to celebrate: becoming his favorite superhero, the son of Odin, the next king of Asgard, the fiancé of his childhood sweetheart, the beloved younger brother of his siblings, and the child of parents who loved him…

But Thor, who was familiar with the plot, knew how miserable his future would be—his mother would die, his father would die, the three major boys would die, the careless younger brother would finally become sensible and then die again, and the older sister would almost kill herself.

The girlfriend would be gone, the hammer would be gone, his eyes would be gone, his hair would be gone, his figure would be gone, Asgard would be gone, and after finally becoming the strongest Avenger, he would be immediately cut down by a humanoid female tyrannosaurus.

When his father was in power, Asgard was a paradise envied by the whole universe. As a result, the foundation shrank by 90% as soon as it came into his hands, and God's Domain became a village. The people of Asgard were truly like wandering ghosts; no wonder Heimdall would rather teleport Hulk than himself.

Thinking of this, Thor couldn't help but burst into tears. His choice of time-traveling target had been too precise. It would have been better to become Iron Man. He had searched through all the "impurity models," and when he was tired of playing, he finally found a model married to an honest man. If he ended up such a mess in Asgard, Odin could just take his own skin…

Fortunately, it was still relatively early in this timeline. Odin and the Ancient One were both present, and although Thanos was confident, he wouldn't come to fight two people at once. According to Earth's chronology, it was now 1995, and the plot was at the moment when Captain Marvel was about to start.

If you regard each superhero as a game character, Thor was a newcomer thousands of years old, but Carol Danvers would be able to reach full level with one click in a short time. This meant that Thor needed to understand what to say, obtain contact information, build good relationships in advance, and metaphorically "hug her thigh"… Bah, superhero jargon—can you even call it hugging her thigh?

"Hey, congratulations to the host for successfully traversing. The superhero system has been bound! When the host comes into contact with an important hero or villain target—or may affect them—there is a chance to trigger a task related to the target. Rewards can be obtained for completing the task."

"Each target triggers the task at most once, and abandoning the task also consumes the opportunity."

The reminder sound in Thor's mind made him tremble instantly. What the hell? A system? I, Thor, will rise! he wanted to shout. He immediately stood up excitedly, then remembered he was in public and quickly sat back down.

Loki, sitting next to him, looked at his brother's strange behavior. Thor had just worn a frowning face but suddenly broke into a mean smile. Loki knew his brother was joking, so he just rolled his eyes.

Thor calmed down and looked at the system panel in front of him.

"Hey, congratulations for triggering Thor-related tasks: Elegy of the Strongest. As the worst superhero and one of the strongest Avengers, every time Thor becomes stronger, it is accompanied by huge amounts of pain. Please choose one of the tasks to complete, and you will be rewarded!"

"Task 1: Increase your weight to four hundred catties. Reward: Thor's strength at his heaviest. (As the strongest Thor appointed by the emperor, some aspects may not be ideal, but at least in terms of strength, he is strong enough to fight Thanos.)"

"Task 2: Challenge Thanos and kill Loki. Reward: Stormbreaker. (The strongest artifact in the Marvel universe, invincible, able to suppress the power of the Infinity Gems, enough to kill Thanos.)"

"Task 3: Destroy Mjolnir and sacrifice an eye. Reward: Awakening Ability—complete control of thunder within your body, no longer relying on Mjolnir. (The hammer allows you to control your power, but it is not the source of your power. Losing Mjolnir awakens the power that truly belongs to you.)"

Thor looked at the task list, the corners of his mouth twitching.

Mjolnir must not be lost. If it were destroyed, Odin would definitely smash his own skull. Let alone losing an eye…

Although Stormbreaker was very tempting, it turned out that with just a weapon, it was fine for a sneak attack. Facing Thanos head-on would purely rely on equipment. Besides, Loki had been picked up, but after all these years, he was still family.

That left only option 1. The system was really full of malice toward him…

Fortunately, compared to the other two options, this one was reversible. After all, if he gained weight, he could still lose it. At worst, he would be a vegetarian for a few more years…

Thor's face was firm.

"I choose task one: increase my weight to four hundred catties."
