Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Shit Shovel Official Is Online

"Let me introduce myself. I am the son of Odin from Asgard, the God of Thunder, and the future king. I should exist in your myths and legends—Thor, Thor! The Norse mythology of this world comes from Asgard, passed down by soldiers who were once on Earth."

In a bar in California, Thor introduced himself to the black-marinated egg who had not yet gone bald, his tone filled with inherent arrogance. Thor had a vague feeling that his character was strongly influenced by the original Thor.

"System, how long have I been in this world?"

"Fifteen hundred years."

Sure enough, his time travel had not actually involved possessing someone else's body. In other words, the more than twenty years of his previous life had been real time travel.

"Huh?" Nick Fury looked dazed, his worldview almost collapsing within a single day. First aliens, then the gods of ancient legend… however, having already seen Carol Danvers, this was not quite as impossible to accept.

"Well, it's an honor to meet you, then," Nick Fury shrugged.

Later, to find clues about the Tianma Project, the three of them went to the Air Force base together.

Same as the original plot, Nick Fury, with the demeanor of a cunning old fox, secretly contacted his superior, only to discover something unusual about him.

The difference was that during the retreat, Thor struck the ceiling with his hammer, sending a strong electric current into the circuit system. The entire Air Force base went completely dark.

"This cat is dangerous. I suggest you stay away from it," Thor complained, seeing Nick Fury teasing the cat with a foolish grin on his face.

Nick Fury had every reason to be cautious. After all, he had already seen too many supernatural phenomena that day: Carol firing energy blasts from her fists, Thor short-circuiting an entire base with a hammer, and Skrulls thicker than bears.

Yet this shape-shifting creature named "Cuckoo" looked so harmless that Nick Fury had decided to be a "cat-shoveling officer." Petting cats could be fun for a while, and it was always fun… so Thor didn't care anymore. Having said that, was a corned egg with two eyes still called a corned egg?

At this time, Carol Danvers, flying the plane, turned her head and asked, "Can you tell me the purpose of your help? This doesn't seem to concern you. Whether it's the Kree or the Skrull, it has nothing to do with you."

From the moment he appeared, Thor had been very proactive, offering to help even when it had nothing to do with him. If Nick Fury was doing his job, Thor was clearly just… idling. Was the heir to the throne of Asgard always this idle?

The key was that Thor's strength was immense, which made Carol unable to be careless around him.

Thor had already said, "If it's just a dispute on Earth, it really has nothing to do with me. But as a member of the Nine Realms, Earth belongs to Asgard, at least in name. If beings from other planets land here without saying hello, we should at least make our presence known."

It was clear that Carol was not fully trusted, and the relationship between Earth and Asgard was not a secret in the universe.

Nick Fury, still teasing the cat, was sensitive enough to pick up the meaning behind his words and asked in confusion, "In name? So Earth doesn't actually belong to Asgard?" He spoke more seriously. It would not be good news if Earth was considered merely an appendage or even a colony of a higher civilization.

Thor understood exactly what he meant and said lightly, "Don't worry, Earth is independent. Humans have their own Asgardian protection, and the strongest is no less than my father. However, unless the world faces a major crisis, that organization—the superiors—will basically not interfere."

What he said was true. In fact, even if Carol had not Awakened this time, if Ronan dared to break the rules on Earth, Kamar-Taj would definitely make sure he had no chance to succeed.

The black-marinated egg immediately looked much more relaxed.
