Synopsis
The Kingdom of Alvareth rejoices as rumors spread that the Crown Prince himself has been blessed by the gods and goddesses, as the destined saint who will guide the world into a new age of light. But fate twists cruelly when the current saintess, revered by all, takes in a nameless boy from the streets — a child of unknown origin who bears an uncanny resemblance to her own features. “The child came to me with no name, no shoes, and eyes that no longer cried. He was shaking from the cold. I wrapped him in a warm robe, pressed his face to my chest, and whispered: ‘You’re safe now. You don’t have to be afraid anymore.’ That night, he fell asleep beside the sacred altar — and the heavens were silent for the first time in years. The world had already chosen its future hero. I was simply chosen to raise him.” As the boy grows, whispers of doubt ripple through the kingdom. Two possible heirs to divinity stand before the world: the prince born of royal blood and the nameless child raised by the saintess. Their rivalry is inevitable, their cruel trials, and the expectations of nations press heavily upon them both. Yet behind the veil of holiness lies a darker truth. The saintess is not the gentle savior she appears to be, but the orchestrator of a grand deception. In her hands rests not just the fate of the child she shelters, but the destiny of kingdoms. And as the two boys are drawn into the storm of prophecy, only one question remains: Is the true threat the demons — or the saintess who raised the hero?

Chapter 1 - Chapter One: The Boy on the Road

Written by: Loki<3

They say I was blessed by the gods the moment I was born. My golden hair and light blue eyes were proof — rare traits only seen in people blessed with the power of divinity. That's why I was chosen to become the Saintess of the Holy Empire. The people call me holy, graceful, a miracle in human form.

Today, I was on my way to bless the prince of the Kingdom of Alvareth who's turning 8 this month.

There were rumors that this child might be the hero mentioned in the old prophecy — the one who would bring peace to the world. It is said that all chosen saints and saintesses are born with golden hair — not too bright, yet unmistakably divine — and eyes of radiant light blue, as if touched by the heavens themselves. But nothing has been confirmed yet. I was only sent to bless him and see if he showed any signs of what the prophecy described.

I traveled in a luxurious white carriage pulled by four white horses. The holy empire made sure everything was perfect — gold linings, silk cushions, banners of the divine. Around me rode the Holy Knights, strong and loyal, wearing armor marked with the Empire's crest.

The road passed through a forest. The wind was calm, and the sunlight peeked through the leaves. I sat quietly, staring out the window, when suddenly—

The carriage stopped.

A knock came from outside. "Saintess," said Seren, the leader of the Holy Knights. "We've encountered something. Please come outside."

I stepped out carefully. The road ahead was quiet.

The knights were gathered around something on the ground.

Seren walked up to me and bowed. "A child, my lady. Lying in the middle of the road. He's alive, but unconscious."

I moved forward quickly. And there he was — a small boy, maybe seven years old. He was wearing torn, dirty clothes and had no shoes. His body was bruised and scratched like he had wandered for days. But what caught my attention was something else…

His hair.

Golden. Just like mine.

And then I saw his face.

Light blue eyes. The same exact shade as mine.

A color only blessed people were born with.

I froze.

"He looks exactly like you, Saintess...." Seren said softly behind me.

I didn't respond. I slowly knelt down and reached out. The boy's skin was warm but weak. I placed my hand gently over his chest and used a healing spell.

"Where did you come from?" I whispered. "Who left you here?"

He didn't answer, still unconscious.

I lifted him up into my arms. He was light — too light for a child his age. Like no one had fed him properly in weeks.

"Prepare the carriage," I told them. "He'll ride with me."

The knights nodded without question. How could they dare to question the Saintess words?

Inside the carriage, I laid him carefully on the seat beside me. I held his hand and continued healing him as we moved forward again.

"The child I was sent to bless could wait. Because the boy I just found... looked far too much like me." I thought to myself while looking at the child.

"If fate placed him in my path, I won't ignore it. Even if I don't understand why… not yet." I whispered.

Thus, the Saintess's journey to the Kingdom of Alvareth continues, accompanied by a child she met on the road.
