"Oh dear, Oval."
Oval moved fast toward Durden—huge jaws open to attack. Helena shot her bow at Oval and shouted, "You dumb monster!" Oval replied with a blast of blue fire from his mouth. Helena quickly jumped aside. The fire hit a tree and burnt it up. Everyone felt a sharp fear but still ran toward Oval.
Adam threw a water sphere at Oval's stomach. "Eat this, you bastard!" he yelled. Right after, Angela sent a big wind that hit one of Oval's faces. The team tried wind and water attacks one after another, but then Oval let out huge fireballs from both mouths at once. The fireballs destroyed both the wind and water.
Rob Man said, "Your little toy can't affect my Oval."
Oval threw fire all around the forest. All the party members dodged the flames. Reyand came in quickly from behind and hit Oval's back with his sword, shouting, "Heat Cutter!" Oval's second head zoomed toward Reyand and shot out a big flamethrower, but Reyand dodged it just in time.
Jasmine used her blade and tried to hit Oval's legs. But Oval's tail whipped around and hit Jasmine's armour hard. She fell but managed to dodge most of it, though her wrist was now hurting badly. Adam stared in surprise and said, "What type of monster is it?"
Rob Man laughed and said, "It's time for you to die."
Oval moved straight toward everyone. Reyand shouted a warning. Helena used her bow to slow Oval down, and Angela used a blinding blast of wind to confuse him. "The monster can't see us!" Jasmine tried to hit Oval's legs again. Adam and I attacked straight at Oval, while Durden protected the crying kid.
Everyone nodded, ready, and followed the plan. Helena fired three more arrows, Angela aimed the wind at Oval's face again, Jasmine used all her psychic blade attacks toward the legs, and Reyand and Adam came in with another heat cutter and water sphere. Then Oval spun around, and the spines on his back grew thick and tall, making a strong shield to block every attack. Suddenly, Oval's tail hit both Adam and Rey and so hard their armour broke, and they flew into the trees and fell down. Blood came from their mouths—they were really hurt.
Oval shot two big fireballs from his mouths, aiming at Angela, Jasmine, Helena, and Alice. Helena tried to make her arrows even stronger using Angela's wind, creating a big wind ball. But then there was a loud boom—all four fell back, badly hurt.
Durden quickly made a sand wall around the others. Alice started using her healing power, working hard to help all five of them—including herself. But Oval ran at Durden to try and eat him. Durden swung his axe at both beast heads, but the attack failed. Oval was just too strong and knocked Durden down. The baby bag Durden was carrying flew off and landed nearby. The baby's cries rang out loud over everything.
