“You shouldn’t be here,”  she interrupted him, her heart pounding by their closeness. It took everything in her not to say it but she asked. “What do you want from me Lord Arin?, I have nothing to offer you” He came closer even more, their bodies almost touching. Lila was breathless. He was enjoying whatever he was doing. “I came for the one who made me feel something I haven't felt in centuries.” Silence stretched between them. Her body tingled and her feet curled, she didn’t know what to answer him. They were stuck looking at each other's eyes. Then there was a creak in the stairway downstairs. She jolted, suddenly aware of how close they were now. “You need to go,” she said, her face beat red. Arin teases her, “Are we having an affair now?” She blushed even more and knew he was enjoying this. She thought about the scenario and how she was panicking.
