Prometheus's lowered head now hung even lower as he respectfully responded: "Majestic Zeus, you are right—any being must be responsible for their own actions, regardless of the consequences."
"But you are so merciful and tolerant, showing kindness to everything in the universe. All spirits in the universe are fortunate to live under your rule."
"Your mercy and magnanimity will be remembered endlessly by all things and spirits throughout the universe. I, Prometheus, am deeply grateful for the benevolence you show to all things and spirits."
Great Zeus did not stop, continuing to speak as if to himself: "The past is not worth mentioning; the future is more important. Following the old order was not wrong."
"But after the new order is established, all deities and beings throughout the universe should consciously follow the new, sacred righteous order."
"The sacred order I establish."
Prometheus quietly breathed a sigh of relief in his heart—he knew he had passed this test.
He raised his head, his voice carrying excitement and reverence: "Great Zeus, thank you for your magnanimity as boundless as the sky! You will surely establish a completely new sacred righteous order, bringing prosperity and peace to the universe. Your order will be implemented throughout the entire universe, and all gods will follow your supreme will!"
He then knelt on one knee and pledged loyalty to Zeus in the most devout manner: "Respected, illustrious, great Zeus, son of sacred God Queen Rhea! Prometheus hereby requests to serve you loyally! Your will is Prometheus's will!"
"Prometheus, Prometheus." Zeus softly repeated the name twice—his voice was not loud, his tone not cold, but carried some inexplicable meaning.
Then Zeus's tone became gentle yet majestic: "I, Zeus, son of sacred Rhea, hereby accept your loyalty."
"My dear friend, I will forever remember all friends who serve me loyally for their help and support."
"Similarly, any being who dares violate my sacred order will ultimately face the most severe punishment!"
Without waiting for Prometheus to speak, Zeus issued his dismissal: "Prometheus, the gods are celebrating—the sacred goddess of order, the lady of justice, is about to stand beside us. Final victory will undoubtedly belong to us!"
"Go enjoy this wonderful feast with the gods. In the future, we will share this beautiful new world together."
Prometheus respectfully replied: "Great Zeus, I deeply anticipate that day."
After Prometheus respectfully withdrew, the future God King who favored beauty took the wisdom goddess into his arms, intimately caressing her tender face like flower petals.
He whispered in her ear with a smile: "This foreknowing god has some unknown aspects."
"Hmm?" The infatuated wisdom, immersed in her beloved's intimacy, did not understand the deeper meaning in profound Zeus's words.
Her gaze carried pure beauty and deep dependence as she looked up at Zeus.
Zeus suddenly changed the topic with undeniable tenderness: "My love, you should also go accompany mother goddess in hosting the feast. I need to visit the memory goddess immediately."
The irrational wisdom intoxicated by her lover's embrace, though extremely reluctant in her heart, still obediently rose.
Her slender jade fingers gently and lovingly caressed Zeus's extraordinarily handsome face, her eyes full of tenderness: "My love, the profound and tranquil goddess of civilization and memory—she understands all truths and origins of the world. Please be sure to treat her with sincerity and respect, without the slightest negligence."
Zeus nodded with a smile, watching Metis's graceful figure gradually fade into the distance.
After she completely departed, leaving only him alone in the vast temple.
Only at such times would he sigh softly.
He hadn't wanted to see Mnemosyne so early, but since she had made such a request, he could only meet with her ahead of schedule.
For final victory, he had to make sacrifices again.
Brave Zeus, unafraid of difficulties!
Mnemosyne, this goddess of civilization and memory, had also long since moved away from Mount Othrys.
She now resided on a secluded and tranquil small island in the east, far from worldly clamor.
Deities like her who transcended worldly concerns were always extremely aloof, untainted by mundane dust.
Of course, she was low-key because she wanted to be low-key.
But that didn't mean she was easy to bully—quite the opposite. All deities throughout the universe held her in high regard.
No deity wanted to be forgotten, or even unable to retain their most basic memories.
Even less did any deity want their unknown scandals to spread throughout the entire universe in an instant, becoming known to all gods.
Perhaps one reason the memory goddess was so low-key was that she simply knew too much.
Secrets remained the master's before being spoken aloud, earning the gods' reverence.
But if secrets became known to everyone, one would become the gods' enemy.
When Zeus descended to this beautiful and peaceful island filled with floral fragrances and bird songs, a host of elemental beings who had been respectfully waiting immediately came forward.
They respectfully guided Zeus toward where their mysterious master resided.
At the center of this small island, surrounded by a small lake as clear as jade, stood an elegant and exquisite temple quietly in the lake's center—that was the memory goddess's dwelling.
After guiding Zeus to the lakeside, the elemental beings retreated far away, leaving only Zeus to proceed alone.
Zeus didn't mind the goddess's slight at all, maintaining composure as he walked leisurely into the temple.
However, the moment his gaze touched the memory goddess, his heart suddenly drew in a sharp breath.
He immediately turned aside, no longer looking.
As if he had seen something incomparably terrifying.
'This isn't right—isn't the memory goddess supposed to be the most dignified, plain, tranquil, and upright?'
Zeus cried out in his heart: "This completely doesn't match her character!"
No wonder even the usually calm and resolute Zeus couldn't help being startled at this moment.
It was truly because the goddess of civilization and memory presented before him was too likely to disturb deities' minds.
He saw an absolutely beautiful and tranquil, elegant and dignified goddess, as shy as a newly-wed bride, lazily half-reclining on a spacious divine throne.
She had black hair, black eyes, and wore black gauze robes—her hair as deep as night paired with equally black pupils and smooth black garments, making her skin appear cold and flawlessly white, glowing with alluring luster in the somewhat dim hall, mysterious and enchanting.
At this moment her pretty face was flushed, her bewitching divine form tipsy and half-drunk, her profound eyes misty and hazy.
She lazily held an exquisite golden cup in her hand, obviously already half-drunk yet still savoring the honey wine delicately.
