It's been a week since Naraku gave me the hair Ornament, which I've been wearing in my hair every day, even during training with Kohaku. I rarely ever see Kanna or Kagura. Plus, every night I've been having dinner with Naraku, even though he barely eats anything unless I say something about it. However, today Naraku had been acting a bit strangely as he then turned to me with a serious expression.
"If you're done eating, go get ready... I have a mission for you." Naraku finally spoke, causing my eyes to widen.
"Finally!" I chirped as I jumped up from the floor with a broad grin. "I can finally get my revenge on that Kagome and her stupid little group!" I think as I walk out of the large room, only to then bump into someone, causing me to almost fall.
"Watch it." Kagura glared, which made me slightly bow to her.
"I'm sorry, Kagura. I'll be more mindful of where I'm going next time, if you'll excuse me." I state as I then walk away, while letting out a sigh. "I really don't think she likes me too much." I think as I make it to my room and begin to change into a kimono better suited for fighting.
"(Y/N), are you going somewhere?" Kohaku's voice rang out, causing me to look over to see him standing there.
"Yes, Naraku has given me orders," I answer as I grab my sword and fasten it to my waist.
"Are you ready?" Naraku's voice rang out from the entrance of my room. "Why didn't I feel his presence?" I wonder as I glance over to see a white baboon, causing me to sigh.
"A puppet, really?" I question as I walk over, and it nods.
"Yes, there will be one other person there along with Inuyasha's group. I will inform you about him as we head to our location." The Puppet responds, but then Kohaku walks over to me.
"Do you wish for me to come along?" Kohaku asks, but I shake my head.
"No, I'll be just fine," I answer, causing Kohaku to put on a slightly worried expression.
"Be careful..." Kohaku trails of causing a smile to appear on my face as I place a hand on his head.
"I will." I declare as I then turn to the Puppet, who began to walk away, causing me to follow after him.
"Other than you and me, there will be two others joining us... Don't worry, you won't have to worry about them." The Puppet informs, and I roll my eyes. "So more incarnations, I presume." I think as he began to lead me into the courtyard, where I saw Naraku standing beside a carriage being pulled by horse bones.
"(Y/N)..." Naraku trails off as we walk over to him.
"I can take care of myself," I state as I glance over at the Puppet, causing Naraku to shake his head.
"I know that all too well, the puppet is there for my incarnations." Naraku points out, causing me to let out a sigh.
"Alright, but I won't be protected." I remind, causing Naraku to nod with his cold expression, but then it softens.
"Remember, you can always use the hair ornament." Naraku reminds causing me to nod with a smile.
"We should go." The Puppet insists, causing Naraku to hold out his hand as if gesturing to help me onto the horse bones, but I chuckle and shake my head.
"No way am I getting on that." I proclaim as I then jump up towards the cage and sit down on top of it.
"I'll sit right up here away from that creepy horse-thing," I remark, causing the Puppet to get onto the horse bones, and they begin to walk, causing the carriage to move. "It's so weird, how are they moving?!" I wonder as I stared at it in astonishment.
(Time Skip)
Suddenly, a man with a ponytail appears a few feet in front of us, causing the Puppet to stop and jump down from the horse.
"I'm guessing you're the leader of the Wolf Demon Tribe I've heard so much about?" I asked, causing the man to glare at me, but he had a mix of confusion on his face as I jumped down from the carriage and landed beside the puppet.
"Yes, he picked up on my scent even before Inuyasha." The puppet answers.
"I don't know you, girl. However, I know you. You're Naraku!" Koga bellows as he looks over at the Puppet, causing it to chuckle.
"Pity for you, but I'm afraid you shall become fodder for my new incarnation." The Puppet informs, and I nod. "Yeah, I am not wasting my energy on you, Wolf-boy." I think as he glances from me to the carriage.
"A cage? Ha. I don't know what kind of beast you brought, but the timing couldn't be better. I'll gladly get revenge for my men." Koga proclaims, causing the Puppet to laugh once more.
"Koga, meet your opponent." The puppet states as he grabs the cloth that was over the cage. "So we finally get a look at it, what could it be this time, another beast?" I wonder as I glance over towards the cage.
"Emerge from your cage, Juromaru." The puppet instructs as I open up the cage to see a man with long pink hair in shackles, causing me to put on a confused expression as I begin to get a chill down my spine. "Wait, weren't there supposed to be two? Where's the other one?" I wonder as I stare at the pink-haired man.
"Have it your way, Naraku. I'll take him out first, then you're wench and mash you all into the ground." Koga threatens, causing me to scoff.
"I'd like to see you try, Wolf-boy..." I trail off, causing Koga to glare over at me.
"What's the holdup here? Hurry and release his shackles so I can get my hands on him." Koga insists, causing me to glance over at the Puppet.
"No. He'll be enough of a challenge for you just as he is." The Puppet declares, causing me to put on a confused expression. "This incarnation is giving me the creeps..." I think as I look over at the man named Juromaru sitting on the ground, but I then hear a growl sound out from Koga.
"All right. It's his funeral!" Koga bellows as he begins rushing towards Juromaru.
"Die!" Koga shouts, while placing his hand on the ground and kicking at Juromaru, who dodges it and rushes towards Koga. Placing his hand on Koga's throat, Juromaru goes to slam him onto the ground. "This guy is fast." I think as I move towards the Puppet.
"Get off me!" Koga demands as he kicks Juromaru, causing him to land a few feet away on his hands and knees. Quickly getting up, Koga quickly creates more distance between himself and Juromaru. Suddenly, I felt a chill in the air, causing goosebumps to appear along with an eerie feeling. "I sense something it's heading this way... What could I be sensing?" I wonder as I see Koga take off running, causing Juromaru to rush after him.
"Koga!" Inuyasha's voice rings out, causing a grin to appear on my face.
"I believe that's your cue." The Puppet points out, causing me to scoff.
"Don't order me around, Puppet," I remark as I rush towards the voices.
(To Inuyasha)
"What do you think you're doing?!" Inuyasha exclaims as he runs after Koga.
"Leave me alone! Can't you see I'm busy?!" Koga exclaims back.
"What'd you say?" Inuyasha asks with an annoyed expression, but then Juromaru appears while shattering the trees around him. Rushing towards Koga, Juromaru was right beside Inuyasha and went to grab him, but he dodged it.
"Nice job escaping as usual, Koga," Inuyasha remarks as he lands away from Juromaru to look over to see me instead of Koga.
"(Y/N)?" Inuyasha questions.
"In the flesh, Dog-boy," I respond as Inuyasha dodges another advance by Juromaru.
"You've finally shown up, have you, Inuyasha?" The Puppet's voice echo's causing everyone to stop in their tracks and look over to see Naraku appear beside Juromaru.
"Naraku!" Inuyasha calls out with a glare, but the thing I had felt approaching was finally here, causing me to look over and see Kagome, Songo, Shippo, and Miroku rush up.
"Naraku!" Miroku sounds out.
"So Koga escaped you're clutches, (Y/N)?" The Puppet questions are causing me to roll my eyes as everyone looks over at me.
"Yes, unfortunately, the little wolf escaped," I respond as I make my way towards the Puppet.
"(Y/n)?" Songo and Kagome chorus caused my smirk to dissipate as I glared at them, but suddenly, I began to see a light glow illuminate from Kagome, causing me to put on a slightly confused expression. "What the hell is that light?" I wonder as I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Koga must've fled when he saw he had no chance of victory. He's more intelligent than I took him for." The Puppet proclaims.
"Huh. Who cares about him? I'm in a whole different class altogether." Inuyasha remarks as I began to feel anger well up inside me as I stared at Kagome.
"Wait a minute. Is that another of Naraku's incarnations?" Miroku asks, but Songo and Kagome were still fixated on me.
"Why would Naraku bring (Y/N) with him?" Songo questions as she glances over at Kagome with a worried expression.
"I don't know, but she's different than before. Goshinki wasn't lying..." Kagome trails off as we stare at each other.
"Juromaru. I shall remove your shackles. Go forth and fight to your heart's content." The Puppet instructs, causing me to glance over to see the shackles break off of Juromaru, who then decapitates the Puppet, causing my eyes to slightly widen.
"Huh?" Inuyasha sounds as the Puppet's head was now on the ground. "I was getting rather tired of that Puppet, but that guy straight up cut the head off his master." I think as a light began to shine from Juromaru's mouth, but the Puppet began to chuckle.
"Juromaru is unstoppable now that his mask has been removed. He will slaughter everything in his wake. (Y/N) is the only one who can control him now..." The Puppet trails off, causing me to narrow my eyes at its head, which began to disappear. "So that's why Naraku kept insisting this guy wouldn't hurt me, he's only going to listen to my orders." I think as Juromaru's attention fell on me and I grinned.
"(Y/N)?" Kagome's voice rang out, causing me to look over at her and scoff.
"I don't think this Incarnation will listen to you, (Y/N). I mean, even if that was just a Demon Puppet, he still beheaded it." Miroku insists, and Songo nods.
"This guy probably doesn't even consider you it's ally," Songo adds, causing me to laugh out loud.
"Now that's laughable. So should I listen to you, the people who keep lying to me?!" I exclaim, but Kagome shakes her head.
"We haven't lied to you, but it's obviously why Naraku kept him shackled and bridled." Kagome declares, but Inuyasha glares at me.
"You're wasting you're time, Kagome. (Y/N)'s not going to listen, it's just like with Koga before." Inuyasha counters, causing me to scoff as I draw my sword.
"Juromaru, take care of Inuyasha," I demand, causing Juromaru to exhale and lunge towards Inuyasha while I rush towards Kagome.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha shouts as he punches Juromaru in the face, but before I could slash Kagome with my sword, Miroku blocked it with his staff.
"So you want to get in my way, Monk?" I ask as I felt a presence come up behind me, causing me to jump out of the way to see Inuyasha with his sword drawn. "Hmm, that seemed a little slow for a sword swing from a demon..." I think as I land on the ground, to see Juromaru getting up from the ground.
"He was faster before. What happened?" I question as I see Juromaru's mouth continuing to glow. Suddenly, Inuyasha places his sword back into its sheath and cracks his knuckles with one hand.
"All right. I'm going to finish that one off and then (Y/N) you and I are going to have a nice chat." Inuyasha responds, causing me to scoff.
"Sadly, the only ones who will be exchanging words will be my sword and Kagome's screams, Dog-boy," I explain as I hold my sword towards Kagome.
"(Y/N) please-" Kagome was interrupted by Inuyasha, who rushed towards me with his claws out.
"Iron Reaver soul-" Juromaru interrupts Inuyasha by blocking Inuyasha's advance towards me, and I grin.
"He blocked it!" Miroku bellows and Juromaru uppercuts Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome calls out as I rush over towards Kagome once again.
"Worry about yourself!" I shout as I go to slash her, but this time Songo draws her blade, and we clash.
"Why are you trying to kill Kagome?" Songo asks as she pushes against me, and I chuckle.
"Because once she's dead, I won't have to hear another lie come from her mouth, but now that I think about it, you lied to me, too." I think as my anger grows, causing me to push her back.
"(Y/N), please stop!" Kagome pleads, causing me to stop for a moment as if frozen. "Damn it..." I think as my head began to ache as the little girl with black hair I saw in my dreams appeared again, but I was still unable to see her face.
"(Y/N)?" Songo questions with a worried expression, but I then force the sword out of Songo's hands and point mine towards her.
"Stop calling out to me as if any of you know me!" I demand, but out of the corner of my eyes, I see Inuyasha draw his sword once again to see him cut something from Juromaru.
"Good one!" Kagome chirps.
"He cut the demon's arm off," Shippo adds.
"I SAID WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF!" I bellow as I go to slash at Kagome.
"Kagome!" Miroku shouts as he gets in front of me with his staff.
"You and that demon slayer are getting very annoying." I point out, but Miroku smirks.
"We aren't going to let you kill Kagome, (Y/N)." Miroku insists.
"His arms still on." Shippo proclaims sound causing their attention to draw away from me, which makes me grab my knife from my kimono.
"Shouldn't have looked away!" I declare as I go to slash at Miroku, grazing his cheek.
"Damn it, (Y/N)." Miroku curses, while smirking, but I then hear Inuyasha scream out in pain, causing me to jump away and glance over to see that Inuyasha was holding his stomach. "Juromaru couldn't have done that. What happened?" I wonder with a confused expression.
"Look! From the ground!" Miroku insists.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome calls out as I look over to see a white light jump over to the in front of Juromaru. As Inuyasha dropped to his knees, the light diminished for me to see a crazy looking creature with a human head. "The puppet did say two, but what the hell is that?!" I wonder as I stared at the creature with a creeped out expression.
"What the hell is that thing?" Miroku asks as he and Songo put on freaked-out expressions.
"Yeah, I couldn't tell you either," I answered as I lifted my shoulders up and then back down.
"Thanks for the meal. Your innards were simply delicious." The creature states. "So that thing can talk, but Juromaru can't... You really created a weird one, Naraku." I think as I let out a sigh.
"Damn it! So there were 2 of you all along. Who the hell are you?" Inuyasha questions, causing the creature to laugh as he lifts.
"I am Kageromaru, and I have been lying dormant inside Juromaru's belly," Kageromaru responds, and my eyes widen slightly.
"What do you think that's supposed to mean? Oh no, don't tell me-"
"That bit seems to be the only thing that was keeping it inside." Miroku interrupts Kagome, causing Kageromaru to laugh as it then looks at me, and I begin to get a bad feeling.
"(Y/N), Juromaru obeys no one but me. Not you or even Naraku." Kageromaru informs, and I glare at him.
"So what are you going to kill me too?" I ask, which makes it smirk.
"You will be last on the menu," Kageromaru answers. "So much for they won't hurt me." I think with a scoff.
"Now let us feast on the others, shall we, Juromaru? We'll gorge ourselves!" Kageromaru shouts as he jumps towards the group.
"Wind Tunnel!" Miroku calls out as he goes to use it, but Kageromaru slices his hand.
"What the?!" Miroku exclaims as he grasps his fist in pain.
"Miroku!" Songo shouts with a worried expression, but Juromaru rushes towards her.
"Hiraikotsu!" Songo bellows as she throws her boomerang at Juromaru, who slaps it away.
"Songo!" Miroku yells as he rushes towards her and is hit by Kageromaru once again, protecting Songo. Landing on the ground, Kageromaru lets out a chuckle, causing Miroku to undo his beads once again.
"Wind Tunnel!" Miroku declares as a wind begins blowing towards Kageromaru.
"What are you hoping to eliminate?" Kageromaru's voice rings out, causing Miroku to shut his hand.
"Over there-"
"Too late." Kageromaru interrupts Miroku as he turns.
"Do you honestly hope to defeat us with such sluggish speed?" Kageromaru asks as Juromaru rushes towards Miroku. "I guess I'd better hurry up and kill Kagome, while those two are being kept busy by Juromaru and Kageromaru, then get the hell out of here." I think as I glance over to see Inuyasha rushing towards Miroku, leaving Kagome by herself, which makes me smirk.
"Miroku. You all right?" Inuyasha questions as he looks over at Miroku, who was breathing heavily on the ground. "I'll only get one chance to kill her, when all three of them aren't paying attention..." I think as I glance over at Inuyasha, Songo, and Miroku's direction.
"Yeah. Your sword scared me more than anything." Miroku responds, causing Inuyasha to turn towards Juromaru.
"Then pull up the covers and don't watch this part. He's mine this time." Inuyasha declares, causing me to glance over and see Kagome rushing towards them. "Yes, this is it!" I think as I ready my sword.
"No! Don't do it, Inuyasha!" Kagome calls out.
"You've got a hole in your gut for starters!" Shippo adds as I begin rushing towards them.
"So what? It's not like I've never been wounded- huh?" Inuyasha questions.
"(Y/N)?!" Kagome and Shippo chorus as they go to stop, causing me to see that Kageromaru was about to slash Kagome, causing me to grit my teeth.
"KAGOME!" Inuyasha screams.
"She's mine, YOU STUPID PARASITE!" I shout, and instead of slashing Kagome, it was Kageromaru instead. "Wait, I feel something coming this way, it's exactly like when Kagome and her group arrived." I think, while Kageromaru screams out in pain and disappears. However, someone grabs my arm and knocks my sword out of it.
"Kagome, are you all right?" A familiar voice questions, and my eyes widen. "It's the wolf boy, but how did I know he was coming?" I wonder as I then look down to see lights shining in his legs, and I narrow my eyes at them.
"Where'd you come from?" Kagome asks as I glance over to see that my sword is too far away to grab. "My plan was ruined by that stupid creature, damn it..." I think as I glance up at my wrist, which Koga was holding tightly.
"What do you think you're pulling here, Dog-face? How dare you put my Kagome in danger!" Koga declares as he turns towards Inuyasha. "His Kagome? I thought Kagome was with Inuyasha?" I wonder, but I then shake my head, feeling very annoyed.
"Who are you to talk running off with your tail between your legs? I will thank you for saving Kagome, though, you mangy Wolf." Inuyasha demands, causing me to glare at Koga and clear my throat, causing them to look at me.
"You wanna let go of me, Wolf-Boy?" I question, causing him to look over at me, but Inuyasha shakes his head.
"Don't you dare, Wolf. She was trying to kill Kagome, too!" Inuyasha responds, causing Koga to glare at me.
"(Y/N)... Why do you and Kagome have similar scents? However, there's a slight smell of Naraku on you!" Koga proclaims, causing Kagome to turn to him.
"She's my cousin, Naraku's deceiving her," Kagome states, causing me to glare over at her.
"Say that again and I'll kill you for real this time!" I declare, but Koga began to squeeze my wrist tighter. "Damn it, if I hadn't lost my knife and sword, I'd be free from his grasp." I think as I keep myself from making a noise to signify that he was hurting my wrist.
"If you're family, you shouldn't talk about killing her like that!" Koga demands.
"IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, WOLF-BOY!" I shout, causing him to look over to see Kageromaru, who had a piece of his tail missing.
"So what's the story behind this strange-looking demon?" Koga asks.
"He came out of Juromaru's gut, or so he claims. We have (Y/N), so give up now, or we'll kill her." Inuyasha threatens, causing Kageromaru to chuckle, and I shake my head.
"They won't listen to me anymore, so go ahead and kill me." I point out, causing both Koga and Inuyasha to look over at me.
"I can see that Kageromaru is much too fast for even the likes of us to keep up with him." Miroku insists.
"Ha! Why don't you speak for yourself, Monk? There's no one who's capable of escaping from me. Now, one of you come grab this dumb girl so I can take a crack at him." Koga states, causing me to stick my tongue out at him.
"Bite me!" I remark as Songo comes over and ties my hands together with a rope she had on her Hiraikotsu, and I roll my eyes. "I'm in some deep shit..." I think as I see Inuyasha and Koga begin to fight the two incarnations. Suddenly, Juromaru was on top of Inuyasha's sword and began walking towards Inuyasha, and grabbed his face.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome shouts, causing me to look over at her as the lights in her pocket began to take a shape, and I gasp quietly. "Jewel Shards... I can see the Jewel Shards, but aren't only priestesses able to sense and see them?" I wonder as I then look over to see the lights in Koga's legs were Jewel Shards as well.
"I'm starting to get the hang of this." Koga insists as he rushes after Kageromaru, and I nod. "Yeah, that's why he's so fast... I can see and sense Jewel Shards, I'm sure of it now, but how and why?" I wonder with a confused expression.
"I've got you!" Koga shouts as he gets in front of Kageromaru.
"He's predicting Kageromaru's moves." Shippo declares, causing me to look over to see that Kagome was staring at them as well.
"That's unreal," Kagome whispers, causing me to shake my head as I see Koga going to end Kageromaru. "I'll worry about that later... Right now, I need to get out of here, but how?" I wonder as I look around to see that nobody's attention is on me.
"Huh? He's gone. He got away on me." Koga states, as he looks around, Inuyasha was glaring at Juromaru. Suddenly, coming out of the ground, Kageromaru attacks Inuyasha.
"He came out of the ground!" Koga bellows as Juromaru advances towards Inuyasha, causing him to go flying backwards into a couple of trees, knocking him unconscious.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome calls out with a worried expression. Suddenly, Koga goes to punch Kageromaru again, but he was gone again.
"He got away on me again!" Koga declares, but Kageromaru comes out of the ground again, this time getting Koga's leg and arm.
"Huh?" Songo sounds.
"No. There's no way he'll ever win with an injured leg." Miroku points out as Songo looks away.
"And Inuyasha's still unconscious," Songo states, causing Kageromaru to chuckle as he turns away and sees I was almost to my sword.
"Perhaps I should just eat you're liver and get it out of the way, (Y/N) or how about that little girl?" Kageromaru's questions caused my eyes to widen.
"What?!" Inuyasha exclaims, finally opening his eyes.
"Kageromaru, don't you lay a hand on them!" Koga calls out as Kageromaru jumps in the direction of Kagome and me.
"I'LL EAT HER BONES AND ALL!" Kageromaru bellows.
"No, you won't!" Koga shouts as he goes to run after Kageromaru, causing me to put on a confused expression, but Juromaru gets in front of Koga. "You aren't touching my prey, you little bastard!" I think as I go to grab my sword, but it is still too far.
"Too late!" Kageromaru announces as he goes to slash, causing Kagome to scream out, but at the last second, I appeared in front of her and held my hands up, allowing him to cut through the ropes that were on them. Suddenly, I see blood splatter, causing me to look up and see Inuyasha had cut one of Kageromaru's scythe-hands off with his sword.
"(Y/N), Inuyasha." Kagome says as I see Inuyasha going to slash Kageromaru again.
"Now, die!" Inuyasha demands, but at the last second, Kageromaru escapes.
"What just happened? Did the sword become lighter? He wielded Tessaiga with one hand." Songo points out, causing me to glance over at them and then back to Inuyasha. "So that's why Inuyasha was swinging it slower than usual... His sword has become heavier than before." I think, but then I feel someone touch my shoulder, causing me to glare over to see Koga instead of Kagome.
"Thank you for saving her," Koga whispers, causing my eyes to widen. "Why is he thanking me, and when did he get there?" I wonder with a confused expression, but I then glare at him.
"No need, I just don't want anyone to kill her before I can." I counter as I look over to see Kagome by Inuyasha's side, causing Koga to scoff.
"Yeah, right. You may think she's spouting lies, but she isn't. You both have a similar scent, other than the slight hint of Naraku, which means you're related." Koga recounts causing me to glare over at him.
"Dodge!" I demand as I jump up and look down to see Juromaru almost hitting Koga, who did exactly as I told him, as I land beside my sword. "This is getting exhausting..." I think, but I then look over to see Inuyasha glaring over at me as I pick up my sword.
"Don't you dare try to come for Kagome again, or I really will kill you." Inuyasha threatens as he goes to put the Tessaiga over his shoulder with one hand, but then does a backbend, causing me to burst out laughing.
"Like to see you try Dog-Boy, but I recommend getting better at holding you're sword before making threats." I jibe as Koga slides past me.
"Coward, lost you're nerve, huh?" Koga asks as I dodge Juromaru's advance, allowing me to sit down on a tree top. "I've had enough of all this..." I think as I turn away from the battlefield and begin making my way through the trees, away from everything.
"I'm sure they'll defeat those incarnations, but I'm not going to stick around and be held hostage." I think as I make it to a high cliff and stare up at the bright, big moon.
