We were walking through the forest playing the game I taught Rin, and she even got the little imp to play. "The letter 'T' is next. Let's see if Jaken can think of anything." I think as I was walking beside A-Un, who was carrying Rin.
"Trees." Jaken finally says, causing me to chuckle. "Took him long enough." I think as I then turn to Rin with a smile.
"Alright, now the letter 'S', so Rin, do you see or can you think of anything beginning with that letter?" I ask, causing her to look around.
" 'S', um, uh, Squirrel." Rin looked over to me expectantly, and I nodded.
"Very good." I praise, causing her to smile.
"Alright, next letter is-
" 'L', Lily!" Jaken chirps, causing me to laugh out loud and shake my head.
"What are you laughing at?!" Jaken exclaims, and I turn to him.
"The next letter was 'R' Jaken." I point out, causing him to scoff and roll his eyes.
"Anyways, your late Father's friend certainly lives deep in the forest," Jaken states as he looks over to Sesshomaru, who had been in front, leading the way.
"Uh, y-yeah." I stuttered a little as I began to feel a demon's aura.
"Welcome. I have awaited your arrival." A deep voice rings out, causing me to nearly jump out of my skin.
"A voice from the sky!" Rin chirps, causing both her and Jaken to look up at the trees. "No, it's not coming from the sky." I think as I look over towards Sesshomaru.
"Uh... I don't see anyone." Jaken insisted as we continued to walk.
"I have been expecting you, Sesshomaru." The same voice rings out again, causing me to look around at the trees around us. "Old friend of Sesshomaru's Father..." I think as we continued to walk.
"So, you say that you knew I was coming, did you, old Boksano?" Sesshomaru asks, causing my eyes to narrow at his back. "Could this demon be-"
"You've come to speak with me about the swords, I presume." Boksano's voice interrupted me as it rang out again; however, Sesshomaru then stopped in front of a tree. "So it is a demon tree like I thought... But, I wonder what it meant by swords, though?" I wonder as I see a blue aura emanating from the tree, but then a face began to form in the tree, causing my eyes to widen.
"Do you seek information regarding the Tessaiga, you're Father's heirloom sword? Or perhaps..." Boksano trails off. "The 'Tessaiga', why is it that I feel like I've heard the name of that sword before?" I wonder, but then I hear a gasp, causing me to Rin with a surprised expression.
"A tree Demon!" Rin chirps as Jaken moves up beside Sesshomaru.
"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru, what's that?" Jaken asks, sounding scared. "You're a demon, too, Jaken. Why are you scared of a tree?" I wonder as I stare at the tree.
"A 2,000-year-old Magnolia tree." Sesshomaru answers.
"I see," Jaken says, causing Boksano to stare down at him.
"It is true. The sheaths of the swords, the Tessaiga and the Tenseiga, passed down from Sesshomaru's Father, were carved from my very own boughs." Boksano declares, causing my eyes to widen.
"They were?" Jaken's questions caused me to narrow my eyes at the tree. "Wait... Doesn't the Tessaiga belong to-"
"Boksano, perhaps you can explain the link to me. Between Inuyasha and the Tessaiga." Sesshomaru states, and a slight grin appears on my face. "I knew it, but why would Sesshomaru want to know about Inuyasha and his sword?" I wonder as Boksano looked bewildered.
"Inuyasha- your younger brother?" Boksano asks, causing me to put on a surprised expression. "He and Inuyasha are brothers?!" I exclaim, but then put on a thoughtful expression as I stared at Sesshomaru.
"Inuyasha's blood has changed. The first time was when a demon bit and broke the Tessaiga. The second time, he had let go of Tessaiga while fighting me." Sesshomaru answers. "Blood changing? Fighting? Why would they be fighting if their family...?" I wonder with a confused expression.
"His scent wasn't that of a half-demon's. It was the smell of a Pure Demon's blood. Like mine and my Father's." Sesshomaru informs with anger present in his voice. "I guess it's different for demons when it comes to family, but Inuyasha's obviously a Half-Demon... How could he have the same scent as a Pure Demon?" I wonder as Boksano narrows his eyes at Sesshomaru.
"He had the same scent?" Boksano asks with a chuckle, causing me to shift my eyes towards him.
"I have my doubts," Boksano adds.
"What do you mean by that?" Sesshomaru questions.
"Inuyasha is a Half-Demon, born between a Demon and a human. He could never become a full-fledged Demon. Sesshomaru, there is something that you, a Pure-Blooded Demon, are capable of accomplishing, but which Inuyasha could never do." Boksano responds. "Do other demons despise half-Demons so much?" I wonder as I narrow my eyes at the tree.
"Go on." Sesshomaru insists.
"It is simple. I speak of Protecting Oneself." Boksano made known.
"Protecting Oneself?" Sesshomaru asks.
"Yes. In battle, for instance. If you find yourself in a hopeless situation, you are able to remain calm. You never lose control of yourself." Boksano answers, causing Sesshomaru to scoff.
"It wouldn't be possible for me to fall into such a desperate situation." Sesshomaru proclaims. "Well, aren't we cocky..." As I glance away while letting out a slight sigh, but then I hear Boksano chuckle.
"No, I don't suppose you would. Inuyasha is another matter, however. If backed into a corner to the point where his life is in danger, his Demon blood takes control of the body, and it transforms in order to preserve his life." Boksano explains. "So, shouldn't that be a good thing if it protects him?" I wonder.
"Unfortunately for Inuyasha, the Pure Demon blood of his Father is too strong for a Half-Demon such as himself," Boksano adds, causing my eyes to shift back to the Tree.
"What will the outcome be?" Sesshomaru questions.
"Well, in essence, the Demon blood will devour his human soul. He will not be able to recognize himself. He will not be able to differentiate between friend or foe. He will simply kill, and with repeated transformations, Inuyasha will eventually lose his soul. He will become a demon who only knows how to fight and kill, and he will continue to fight until he is destroyed." Boksano responds, causing a rush of terror to rise within me. "Why do I feel afraid all of a sudden... Could it be I'm worried about Kagome and the others?" I wonder, while holding my hand to my heart.
"I sincerely doubt that your Father would have wished such a terrible fate upon his own son. That is why he bequeathed Inuyasha the sword Tessaiga to protect his soul." Boksano adds, causing me to look down at the ground. "So as long as Inuyasha has his sword, the others should be fine, right?" I wonder, but I suddenly get the feeling as if someone was watching me.
(To Naraku)
(Naraku's POV)
I was staring at Kanna's mirror to see (Y/N), which caused me to grit my teeth.
"Leave, Kanna," I demand, causing her to nod and walk out of the room. "She's traveling with Sesshomaru... How did that even happen?!" I wonder as I stand up, glaring at the window, but I then shake my head.
"I am Naraku... I will never fall for a mortal!" I declare as I make a fist with one of my hands.

( (Y/N)'s POV)
We had stopped to take a break when I then looked back at Sesshomaru, who lifted into the sky.
"Are you going to confirm what Boksano told you?" I ask as I narrow my eyes at him, which causes him to nod.
"I must see for myself," Sesshomaru answers, causing me to sigh.
"Well, be careful." I insist, causing Sesshomaru to slightly lift his eyebrows.
"Hm." Slightly sounded out from Sesshomaru, but he then rose even more into the sky and began to fly away. "He looked amused..." I think as I let out a sigh.
"Lord Sesshomaru." I hear Jaken call out as he begins to look around, and I grin. "That little Imp sure is sharp to have noticed already." I think as A-Un stops in its tracks, allowing Rin to jump off.
"(Y/N), I'm gonna get A-Un something to eat!" Rin chirps, and I nod.
"Just be careful, Rin!" I call out as I see her run through the bushes, and I then look over to see Jaken pop out of a bush beside me.
"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru, have you gone away and left me once again?" Jaken asks, and he then walks passed me and over to a hole in the ground.
"Lord Sesshomaru, where are you, Master?! Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken calls out, and I shake my head.
"Jaken, I don't think he'd fit down there." I point out, causing him to glare over at me, but then he starts flailing his arms everywhere as if throwing a tantrum. I try to hold in my laughter when I see Rin walk up to A-Un with a bunch of grass in her hand.
"That didn't take long," I state as I walk over to Rin, who hands me some of the grass she has in her hands.
"How could you leave without taking your faithful retainer along with you?!" Jaken exclaims, but both Rin and I ignore him.
"Yeah, I found some really good-looking grass. Let's feed it to A-Un." Rin insists, and I nod.
"I know." Jaken finally stops flailing his arms around and looks over at Rin and me.
"It's all because of you and Rin." Jaken declares as A-Un began to eat out of me and Rin's hands. "I can take care of myself, you Imp." I think as I roll my eyes, while feeding one of A-Un's heads.
"Curses! Oh, I sure wish he would abandon that human child and woman somewhere." Jaken says, causing me to look over at him, obviously sulking. "Abandon... Well, Sesshomaru isn't gaining or losing anything from me being here. So I don't think he'd just throw me away like Naraku did... I'll just have to be ready for the worst." I think, while staring down at the ground.
"Ah! Wait a minute. Could it be that Lord Sesshomaru is gone to find Inuyasha in order to confirm what Boksano advised him?" Jaken asks, causing me to chuckle.
"You're just now realizing that, Jaken?" I question, causing him to turn to me with a glare.
"Shut up, woman!" Jaken demands, causing me to glare back at him.
"As I've told you many times already, I have a name!" I declare.
"What is this Inuyasha like, Jaken?" Rin asks.
"An excellent question, Rin. It's a long story, but one which must be conveyed." Jaken answers as he clears his throat, while turning away from us.
"As you both are aware, Inuyasha is Lord Sesshomaru's younger brother, but he hardly compares in Demon Rank or in Demon dignity. And that is because he is- Huh? Hmm?" Jaken questions as Rin began to walk away with A-Un, causing Jaken to fall to the ground, and I burst out laughing.
"Hold up! Where are you going?!" Jaken exclaims, causing Rin to look back at him.
"Oh, I don't really like long stories. Come on, (Y/N,) let's go get A-Un, we'll find them some nice juicy grass!" Rin calls out, causing me to smile.
"Alright!" I bellow as I then look over at Jaken.
"It's to be expected, children are usually like that," I inform, and then rush after Rin.
"Have you met this Inuyasha, (Y/N)?" Rin asks as I make it over to her and walk beside her.
"Yes, would you like me to tell you about him, and don't worry, I won't tell you a long story," I answer, causing her to look over at me.
"Yes, please!" Rin chirps.
"You obviously heard Jaken say he's a Half-Demon, but it also means he's Half-Human. Other than that, he's arrogant, can be a jerk, but most of all, he cares a lot about his friends, even though he doesn't like to show it." I explain, causing Rin's smile to grow. "Did I really know all that about that Dog-boy?" I wonder as I place my hand to my mouth.
"It sounds like you know him well." Rin points out, but I shake my head.
"Not really, it's just what I gathered when I stayed with him and his friends for the short amount of time that I did." I insist as we continued to walk alongside A-Un.
(To Sesshomaru)
Sesshomaru was standing on the battlefield that was covered in human bandit corpses, but then Inuyasha, who was transformed, was looking over at him.
"Sesshomaru!" Kagome calls out."
"Why is he here?" Miroku asks, causing Sesshomaru to look around and then back over to Inuyasha, who stands up.
"Hmm. You are nothing more than a murderous demon." Sesshomaru answers with a smirk as Inuyasha glares at him.
"Come after me, Inuyasha. I wish to test your strength, transformed as such." Sesshomaru proclaims, causing Inuyasha to crack one of his fingers and begin rushing towards Sesshomaru while snarling like an untamed beast. Suddenly, Inuyasha jumps up and heads towards Sesshomaru, who is now drawing his sword and points it towards Inuyasha. A bright light flashes towards Inuyasha from Sesshomaru's sword, causing blood to fly everywhere.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome cries out.
"No! Don't do it! Sesshomaru's new sword can slay an enemy with the slightest bit of pressure! YOU'LL BE DESTROYED BEFORE YOU EVEN GET CLOSE TO HIM!" Miroku shouts, but Inuyasha then folds his outstretched claws into a fist and punches Sesshomaru's sword, causing everyone to gasp.
"He fought off Sesshomaru's sword." Songo points out, but then blood sprays from the arm that Inuyasha's fist just punched the sword with, and then lands a few feet away from Sesshomaru.
"Huh, that was foolish," Sesshomaru states, causing Inuyasha to rush back towards him and tries to take him out by Sesshomaru's feet, who dodges his advance. Landing behind Inuyasha, Sesshomaru points his sword toward Inuyasha, who tries to rush toward him yet again. Pushed back, Inuyasha began to bleed even more than before, but it didn't stop him as he went to charge towards Sesshomaru once again
"He's cut all over." Shippo made known as he clenched onto Kagome's shirt.
"Stop already! Inuyasha!" Kagome calls out, but Inuyasha keeps charging. Once he was to Sesshomaru, he kept trying to attack him, but Sesshomaru dodged every one of Inuyasha's advances towards him.
"And now, little brother, I understand." Sesshomaru declares, while narrowing his eyes, he jumps up and lands a few feet away from Inuyasha.
"You are not a full-fledged demon. All you are is a Half-Breed." Sesshomaru insists as Inuyasha rushes towards him once again.
"Know your place in the world. A half-Demon should act like one. On your knees!" Sesshomaru demands as a blinding light shines from his sword, while Inuyasha is trying to get to Sesshomaru. However, this time, Inuyasha was forced back and screamed out in pain.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome cries out once again. Landing on the ground, Inuyasha was now unconscious. Walking towards Inuyasha, Sesshomaru finally stops about a foot away from Inuyasha and stares down at him.
"Please stop." Kagome pleads as she falls to Inuyasha and glares back at Sesshomaru.
"He has finally been brought down." Sesshomaru points out as he begins to walk closer.
"Don't come any nearer," Kagome warns as tears form in her eyes.
"Kagome, no!" Songo shouts.
"Kagome's in trouble!" Shippo proclaims, causing Miroku and Songo to begin rushing over to them.
"If you wish him to stop, use Tessaiga to reverse the transformation," Sesshomaru informs, causing Kagome to gasp and stare at him with wide eyes.
"Otherwise, he will continue to fight when he awakens," Sesshomaru adds, causing Kagome to put on an uncertain expression. Miroku and Songo stand in front of Sesshomaru, keeping him from Inuyasha and Kagome.
"You could have finished him off earlier if you wanted to. Instead, you merely held him off with your sword. Why did you stop at that? We all know you despise Inuyasha. I can't believe you've developed feelings for your brother." Miroku interrogates, causing Sesshomaru to narrow his eyes at Inuyasha.
"I will slay him eventually. Why kill him now when he doesn't know himself? There would be no point." Sesshomaru insists as he then turns and begins walking away.
(To (Y/N) )
Rin and I were feeding A-Un some more grass when I felt a Demon's aura, causing me to look over to see Sesshomaru standing there.
"Oh, Lord Sesshomaru, you're finally back," Rin states, causing him to walk towards us.
"Rin, I hope you have fared well." Sesshomaru insists, causing her to nod with a smile.
"Mm-hmm. Ah-Un and I were on our very best behavior, and (Y/N) also told and taught me a lot of cool things." Rin insists as she looks up at me, which causes Sesshomaru to look over to me as well. "It was just a few little tricks Kohaku taught me... But I'm more worried about what happened between him and Inuyasha." I think, as I just nodded and looked back over at Rin with a smile.
"Although Jaken has become most melancholy, though," Rin informs as she points over to Jaken, who had been sitting by himself with a depressed expression. However, as soon as he looked over to see Sesshomaru, Jaken quickly got up and began rushing over with a giggle.
"Lord Sesshomaru! What gives, milord? Why did you go alone after Inuyasha?" Jaken asks, causing me to look over at Sesshomaru expectantly, but he only stares down at Jaken.
"Master, that was most uncalled for. I hope you can forgive me." Jaken says as he backs away and bows. "So he doesn't want to talk about it. Did something bad happen?" I wonder, but Sesshomaru looks away from us.
"Hmm?" Rin sounds as she looks up at him.
"Lord Sesshomaru?" Jaken questions as I narrow my eyes to see Sesshomaru with a thoughtful expression. "From that expression, I don't think he killed Inuyasha... But something did happen." I think as I then walk over to A-Un and grab its reins.
"Whelp, let's get going." I declare, causing them all to turn to me, even Sesshomaru. However, without even looking back at any of them, I started walking as A-Un followed behind me.
"Yeah!" Rin chirps as she rushes over to me and walks beside me.
"Wait up, woman!" Jaken calls out, causing me to look back and see the little Imp rushing over to us, but then I look over to see Sesshomaru looking at me with his usual expression. "If I'm just going to get abandoned again, I might as well just enjoy these happy moments while I can." I think as I smile back at Sesshomaru, which causes him to begin walking after us.
