Chapter 2 - the aftermath

*Chapter 2: The Aftermath*

The days that followed were a blur for Leo. He remembered snippets of conversations, faces of people he didn't recognize, and the feeling of emptiness that seemed to suffocate him. His dad was devastated, their world shattered by the loss of their eldest son and his beautiful wife linda.

Leo's nanny, Mrs. Jenkins, took care of him, feeding him, bathing him, and trying to comfort him. But Leo couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt that weighed heavily on his shoulders. He kept replaying the accident in his mind, wondering if there was something he could have done to prevent it.

As the funeral procession wound its way through the streets, Leo stood beside his da, his eyes fixed on the casket that held Alex's and lindas body. He felt a sense of numbness, as if he was watching everything from outside .

The eulogy was a blur of words, but one phrase stuck with Leo: "Alex was destined for greatness." Leo knew that his brother was going to take over their father's business empire one day. He was smart, charismatic, and kind. And now, he was gone and his mom was supposed to be the god mother.

Leo's eyes drifted to the crowd of mourners, searching for answers. Who could have done this to his brother and mom? Who could have taken his life so brutally? A spark of anger ignited within him, and he knew that he would spend the rest of his life finding out who was responsible.

As the funeral came to a close, Leo's father, Don Matteo, stood up, his eyes scanning the crowd. "We will find out who did this," he vowed. "And we will make them pay."

Leo's heart swelled with determination. He would help his father find the person responsible, and he would make sure that they paid for their crime. The wheels of revenge were already turning in his young mind, and nothing would stop him from achieving his goal.
