"damnit!" I cursed as I hit the tree at each word "Damnit! Damnit damnit damnit damn-"
I was stopped by Ingrid grabbing my wrist, once again shaking her head silently. Feeling frustrated I roughly pulled away, taking a seat on a nearby log.
She bent down in front of me. She gently took my hand and wrapped my bleeding knuckles up "I know you're frustrated" she spoke in a calm tone "I am too but we can't afford to make enemies with a Badawi kingdom"
"What about indigo?" I shouted angrily "that girl fully intended to let those men kill her. She just used them as a scapegoat when things were looking bad for her"
"Of course she did. Her demon side really shone through" there was a flash of anger in her normally calm eyes.
"Demon?" I questioned.
She nodded "there are two defining features to a half demon. Either they're born with red hair or red eyes. It's how you can tell a half demon's been born"
"You don't say" I stared down at the puddle beneath my feet. Red eyes reflected back at me. I thought back to how nova was treated throughout his life. Poor guy. He never stood a chance at being a normal kid.
"Half demon are born with all sorts of incredible powers" she continued on "most of them have something to do with the elements. If I had to guess miss Laylas powers I'd say it's the ability to control metal and other minerals. It's these reasons that the everyday person fears your kind"
"But I don't even have powers like that" I pouted. How come this power system wasn't explained in the original story? Come to think of it the original story felt kinda incomplete.
I wonder why that is..
"But as for you" she touched my chest with a smile "I sense a far more human side shining out. You're going to do amazing things one day nova, I guarantee it" her warm smile made me feel at ease.
"This ending is so sad" I remember speaking to katsuki as we finished the newest issue "he never knew his sisters reasoning for leaving and now he'll never get that closure. Sirius must be crushed"
"Sniff" a much younger katsuki had his back turned to me, sniffling.
"Are you crying?" I reached out worriedly.
"No I'm not. Shut up stupid!" He snapped, tears clearly visible.
"I'm sorry" I immediately felt bad for upsetting my friend.
"There's no shame in crying katsuki" a young girl in a hospital gown spoke in a soft tone. Her hair was long and black, her eyes tired and skin pale "she gave up her life and integrity for the sake of her little brother and the village who shunned her. It's a beautiful sacrifice. Now I wonder how Sirius will react"
He didn't react well.
I looked at the kind girl, unable to believe that in the future she'd become a villain. I didn't want this new version of Sirius to suffer the way the original did but I'm unsure..
Can I really stop someone who's reasoning is so difficult to understand?
