I stepped into the classroom with a dreary sigh. I felt exhausted after the day before. I still didn't know what to do with my knowledge of what Layla plans to do. Do I really have to wait five years to do anything about it.
"Um" I looked up to see a girl with blue hair, cut messily short with silver eyes. I recognise her immediately.
She was hanako. She was the first person to show nova encouragement and kindness. When she died nova was blamed for it. It was a huge wound he never truly got over but he carried on her last wish.
"Let's do our best nova so that everyone will acknowledge us"
"Go on hanako don't be shy. Just say what you're thinking" indigo pushed her forward with an encouraging smile.
Her eyes were shut as she shouted "I just wanted to say congratulations on getting into the academy" her face was beat red as she spoke. The others couldn't help but stare at her
"Oh, thank you" I smiled at her.
"I'm sorry" she rubbed her arm with a sad expression "I wanted to say it sooner but I got too nervous. I mean we've only talked a couple of times. I thought it might be too presumptuous of me-"
"But those talks meant a lot to me" I patted her shoulder reassuringly "you were the first person to believe in me. Thank you for that"
To my surprise she let out a squeak before running away "did I do something wrong?"
"No she's just shy. Now more importantly" she grabbed my shoulders with a determined look in her eyes "now that we're friends I'm going to make sure you and hanako get married!"
"Don't you think that's taking it a bit far" my face turned red. I mean we're still just kids. That girl's too love obsessed for her own good!
"Hey nova" Shane wrapped an arm around me "I heard what you did for indigo. Thank you" his eyes were filled with a mixture of relief and gratitude.
"Well I wouldn't have been much help if krispin didn't talk miss Ingrid into helping" I said bashfully.
"Then I owe ya both" he wrapped his spare arm around krispin.
"I'd like to take the credit but Sirius also vouced for you" krispin muttered.
"Sirius" I looked over at the boy. He turned away awkwardly as our eyes locked. I smiled to myself. Just as I thought. He's a nice guy deep down.
"Alright class please take your seats and we'll begin"
I took my seat as instructed. Hanakos drifted to mine. As soon as our eyes locked she looked away with a nervous blush. I scratched my head in confusion. Being friends with her gonna be difficult huh.
