Chapter 58 - My concern is Aria

ATLAS

Aria wasn't in the room.

I stood on the threshold of the door, my eyes flickering around the vast room, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. I saw nothing. Even her scent was fading. That meant she had been gone for quite some while. I stepped inside, looking at the open window, and winced as I saw the bedsheet that was flung over it and down to the ground floor.

My throat worked, and my hands clenched beside me. My gaze darkened. God, Aria. She'd be the death of me.

Where the fuck did she go? No. I shook my head, not wanting to think she had fled the room to participate in the game. She wouldn't dare defy me. She should know better than to leave the room, and I was only trying to protect her!

Maybe if you had told her the reason and not tried to exert the Alpha authority on her with force, she'd have stayed.

Shut up. I hissed, glowering. I pulled the bedsheet back up before shutting the window. Don't fucking encourage what she's doing.
