Chapter 136 - She’s dead

I went still as Aria's quiet sob filled the room. Her face bowed on her knees, her body shaking violently in the corner where she was huddled.

My throat constricted, and slowly, I dropped my fingers, which had been clenched around my necklace. I stared at Grandfather Patrick, wondering if he knew what was happening. At least, this wasn't the state I expected to see someone who was declared the strongest, a bridge between the divine and werewolf worlds. She looked broken. Fragile. As if she were fighting a ghost, she couldn't take it anymore.

"Who did this to you, Aria?" I murmured. "Is it those bastard Trio?!"

I bristled, my finger clenched. Even as they were said to be the most dangerous in the werewolf world, in my world, they were nothing. Magic had many more advantages over shifting werewolves. Hence, I could easily overpower them. The bastards were in prison, as they wouldn't give me a tangible reason for hitting Aria, my sister.
