Chapter 11 - 1! 5! Deep Blue Stat Points

In a vacant room at Midtown High School, Bai Ye looked up at the bright moonlight streaming in through the window, realizing he'd been in the classroom for quite a while.

Feeling the five extra strands of true qi in his dantian, Bai Ye understood he had been cultivating for about ten hours: "I got so absorbed in cultivation, I even forgot to work out. I should set an alarm next time."

He stood up from the ground, stretching lightly. His skin had completely recovered during this time. It was time for the next stage of his bath.

Bai Ye opened the door and walked out, heading home in the light of the street lamps, ready to make up for the exercises he'd missed during the day.

But as he passed the street, a huge explosion erupted from the bank next door, the deafening roar audible for miles around.

"What's going on?" Startled by the sudden loud noise late at night, Bai Ye instinctively took a step back. Then, realizing something, he hesitated for a moment before heading towards the bank.

Terry Bank was closed for the night. On the outer wall of the bank's vault, there was now an irregular hole, half the height of a person.

A robber dressed like Batman, holding a rifle, stood guard at the bank entrance, which had been blown open.

The other three robbers, their heads covered with hoods, entered through the hole created by the explosives. They moved in an orderly fashion, quickly gathering cash and jewelry from the vault. It was clear they had rehearsed this many times.

So, they're really robbing a bank. Guess that's just the freedom of America, huh?

Though, they picked a bad location. There are hundreds of banks in New York, and they chose this one in the city center. It's so close to the police station. Even at night, the police can be here in ten minutes.

The car has fake plates, but why is only one person outside? There's no one in the car. This robbery team is way too amateur.

Bai Ye, standing about ten meters from the bank, observed the scene inside and analyzed the situation.

Although he considered the robbers an amateur team with a high risk of getting caught, he figured this job would probably succeed.

After checking for surveillance cameras, he prepared to act.

Of course, this isn't some kind of righteous act. It's just that I'm a little short on cash lately, so I'm planning to steal from the thieves.

Looking at the group of robbers guarding the entrance, with only one person on watch, Bai Ye hesitated and brought up his attribute panel.

Name: Bai Ye

Lifespan: 18/120 Strength: 1.4+ Physique: 1.3+ Spirit: 1.4+ Charm: 1.4+ Attribute Points Available: 0.5 …

These past few days, looking at the attribute points on his panel, he'd been thinking about when to add 0.1 and see what would happen. After all, without trying, who knew what would happen when he added a point.

This time, he'd run into this situation, so it was the perfect chance to test it out.

Hiding behind a wall, Bai Ye hesitated for a moment before raising his hand and gently tapping the plus sign next to Strength. The numbers on the attribute panel changed in the next instant.

Name: Bai Ye

Lifespan: 18/120 Strength: 1.4 + 0.1 Physique: 1.3 + Spirit: 1.4 + Charm: 1.4 + Unused Attribute Points: 0.4

Description: You have equipped 0.1 attribute points in Strength, your actual Strength is 1.4, and you have equipped an additional 0.1 Strength value, resulting in a displayed Strength of 1.5.

'What does this mean? The added 0.1 isn't counted together with the Strength I gained from training? It's considered additional equipment?' Bai Ye wondered, looking at the description.

But the next moment, a cool sensation began to flow into his limbs, starting to transform his body.

His joints began to crack slightly, and the enhancement from adding points allowed him to clearly feel the increase in his Strength.

In just a few breaths, he felt his Strength had increased by about fifty percent.

There was no pain or discomfort, only a feeling of confidence that came with the increase in Strength. He was sure that his current displayed Strength and speed had exceeded the human limit.

He gently clenched his fist, feeling the flesh and bones in his arm creak under the immense force, causing a slight pain. He knew this was his body telling him that his Physique was somewhat lagging behind the growth of his Strength.

'Won't the increase in Strength attribute also lead to an increase in Physique?' Bai Ye sighed in disappointment.

He had originally thought that as his Strength increased, his Physique would also increase slightly to maintain the body's balance. It seemed this loophole wouldn't work.

The practice also proved one thing: adding points had absolutely no side effects. It was just an instant, and he could really use it like a Senzu Bean.

After adding the points, Bai Ye calculated the time. He had to finish the fight within eight minutes, or he might run into the police.

Feeling he had plenty of time, Bai Ye took off his coat and wrapped it around his right hand to prevent leaving fingerprints.

At the same time, he took off his shirt underneath and covered his face below his eyes to conceal his features. Then, he bent down slightly and went around to the side door of Terry Bank. With a jump from his legs, he supported himself with his right hand on the exposed edge of the second floor. Like a nimble ape, he easily jumped up to the second floor.

He tiptoed lightly. Under the control provided by his 1.4 Spirit, his footsteps were silent as he arrived directly above the exploded hole, quietly lying in wait, biding his time.

At this moment, inside the bank vault, three robbers were continuously moving the US dollars, foreign currencies, gold, securities, specimen notes, and jewelry stored in the vault.

They stuffed the loot they had gathered into sacks and threw them through the hole they had blasted, letting their accomplice outside load them directly into the car.

They repeated this process, collecting as much loot as possible within five minutes, and then they would drive away, regardless of how much was left.

Bai Ye crouched on the second floor, his right hand lightly resting on the eaves. He looked down at the guard below. The robber had a rifle in his left hand and was carrying cash from his accomplice in his right, heading towards a car. Bai Ye silently complained to himself again about how unprofessional this whole thing was.

Taking advantage of the robber's lack of vigilance, Bai Ye flipped over lightly, jumping down from the second floor directly behind the robber. He slammed a fist into the robber's chest. The robber didn't even have a chance to grunt before instantly falling into a baby-like sleep.

Bai Ye gently supported the robber's body, dragging him to the side. Then, he swiftly stripped the robber of his gear and put it on himself, the entire process taking no more than 40 seconds.

The items obtained included a hood *1, black gloves *1, a rifle *1, an outer jacket *1, and pants *1. As for the bulletproof vest the robber was wearing underneath, Bai Ye thought it would take too much time, so he skipped it.

After changing into the clothes and hood, he silently stood at the entrance, where another bag of money was thrown out.

He bent down silently, picked it up, and then, as before, dragged the money to the trunk of the car parked at the door. He then re-entered the entrance, waiting for the next bag of money to be thrown out.
