Chapter 33 - Just a Flesh Wound

Inside Mains Fitness Club, Bai Ye was wearing a mask, waiting for Peter at the entrance.

After two or three minutes, seeing the blond boy jogging over in the distance, Bai Ye's eyes lit up, and he raised his hand, waving, "Peter, over here."

"Bai, the whole class is talking about you today," Peter said as he approached. "I had no idea you were this strong before."

"Let's go inside and talk," Bai Ye waved his hand, leading Peter into the club.

The entire first floor of the club was filled with people working out. Bai Ye bypassed them and went directly to the private gym on the third floor, where the atmosphere immediately became quieter.

Peter looked around at the room's furnishings, paying particular attention to the several Iron Weights placed in the corner. Then, he asked, "Bai, you still haven't said what kind of part-time job you mentioned, the one that pays twenty thousand?"

Bai Ye had his back to Peter and said, "We'll talk about that later. First, let's spar."

"Spar?"

Peter was stunned for a moment, a tingling sensation shooting up from his cervical vertebrae to his brain. He saw Bai Ye twist around rapidly, his right leg like a giant axe, swinging back with immense force towards his head.

The sound of Bai Ye's pants legs whistling through the air from the friction. A normal person, if they took this kick head-on, might have their entire head cleanly lopped off.

Peter leaned back, feeling the air brush past his nose. He said, a little annoyed, "Bai, what are you doing?"

"Just testing your reaction time. Even if you hadn't moved just now, you wouldn't have gotten hurt."

Bai Ye retracted his right leg, smiling. "As compensation, you can punch me. As long as you don't kill me, you can do whatever you want."

"You said that." Peter, a little frightened, clenched his fists. Because he didn't know how durable Bai Ye's body was, he held back and lightly punched Bai Ye's abdomen.

A playful punch like that didn't even cause Bai Ye any pain, but he had already successfully achieved his goal.

Explanation: Detected someone initiating an attack against you, analyzing opponent data.

Name: Peter Parker

Strength: 3.0 Agility: 2.6 Constitution: 2.8 Spirit: 4.2 Charm: 1.1 …

Looking at the newly appeared information on the attribute panel, Bai Ye was also stunned for a moment.

How are the values on this panel calculated? I remember Spider-Man in the movie could stop a hundred-ton train traveling at nine meters per second within thirty seconds. Calculating this, his strength should be at least 70 tons, at least twenty times mine.

As a result, except for Spirit, the difference in the values on the attribute panel between me and Spider-Man is not even one time. Although this may be because the other party has just awakened and the potential of his body has not been fully developed.

After finishing his thoughts, Bai Ye turned his head and looked at Peter, who was unaware of anything, and a harmless and warm smile appeared on his face: "Peter, come and help me train."

"Ah, training." Peter Parker was stunned.

"Yes, the part-time job with a monthly salary of $20,000 is to help me with impact resistance training."

Bai Ye got up and went to the backpack in the corner, pulling out a thick stack of dollars and returning to Peter.

In front of Peter, whose eyes were a little glazed over, Bai Ye lightly waved the stack of banknotes in his hand, and said with an irresistible tone, "As long as you agree, I can advance you a month's salary."

Looking at the banknotes that were within reach, Peter maintained his composure and said with some difficulty, "But, what can I train you in?"

"It's very simple. You just need to use that steel rod next to you to keep hitting me. This is my training method. Just be careful not to kill me," Bai Ye said.

You… know about the changes in my body today? Peter was surprised, even thinking that Bai Ye might have been the one who made his body stronger.

"Of course I know. As for how I know, everyone has their own secrets. How about we keep some distance from each other?"

He didn't bother to make up lies to deceive him; it was better not to say anything at all.

"Alright, if it's just for me to hit you with a steel rod, I accept this part-time job," Peter didn't continue to ask questions, but chose to accept the part-time job.

"Very good, let's start now."

In Peter's surprised gaze, Bai Ye grabbed the two-ton iron weights from the corner. He rooted his feet and began to assume the Horse Stance, urging, "What are you waiting for? Hit me with the steel rod now."

"Uh, alright." Peter gripped the steel rod tightly, holding back his strength as he swung it at Bai Ye's back. He felt nothing.

"Use some force, don't be afraid of killing me," Bai Ye urged, and the next moment he felt a slight pain on his back from the steel rod.

"Yes, yes, this force is barely acceptable. Of course, if you increased it by another forty or fifty percent, it would be even better," Bai Ye nodded in satisfaction. The damage from this strike was already higher than Smith's.

Listening to Bai Ye's praise, Peter felt a bit strange and increased his strength slightly.

"This amount of force is perfect. Keep it at this level and increase the speed. Ideally, maintain this force while hitting different parts of my back at the fastest frequency," Bai Ye expressed his extreme satisfaction with Peter's massage-like strikes.

Soon, the sound of flesh being frantically whipped echoed throughout the entire gym.

Under Peter's control, the steel rod was frantically striking Bai Ye's back about seven or eight times per second.

Each strike left a noticeable red mark on Bai Ye's back, which was now as tough as rhino hide.

After four or five minutes, Bai Ye still held the Iron Weights with both hands, his legs planted firmly in Horse Stance without moving. However, the vest he wore had split open, revealing a bloody, raw back.

Seeing this, Peter had to stop his actions and said, "Don't you really feel pain? Your back is bleeding."

"It's just a minor injury. It will heal in a while. This is the best way to get stronger," Bai Ye said casually, looking at the progress displayed in the description panel.

With the help of Peter's massage, at the current rate, it would only take another hundred thousand strikes.

That is, another four or five hours, and the physique that had just been improved would increase by another 0.1. Then Bai Ye's physical condition would refresh, and there would be no wounds at all.

Not to mention his current superhuman self-healing ability. Injuries like these, where not even a bone was broken, were indeed just minor injuries that could heal within a few hours.

Looking at the Steel Rod stained red in his hand, Peter's face looked a bit grim: "Even if you can take it, I can't bring myself to do it. The blood on your back has even splattered on my clothes."

"Hey, you're being picky about your work. If you can't handle it, just hit my arms and legs first," Bai Ye sighed. He hadn't even had a bone broken yet, and he was already complaining; he was too delicate.
