Chapter 133 - The Strong One Who Walked Out of the Nuclear Blast

"Damn it! How can he be this strong?!"

Inside the White House, President Ellis stared at the scene of Bai Ye demolishing buildings and smashing sentinels, utterly baffled.

"I remember when he fought that green lizard before—he wasn't this powerful!"

Ellis, still stuck with an outdated understanding of Bai Ye from a month ago—the 3.2 version, as it were—couldn't comprehend what was happening now. How had this man, now in version 5.0, become so absurdly strong?

"It hasn't even been two months," Ellis muttered in disbelief. "How did the enemy hero's power scale up this outrageously?"

"No matter," he consoled himself. "Once we use the nuke, we'll win for sure."

And with that, the moment Bai Ye came into contact with the nuclear weapon, Ellis slammed down the detonation button.

The Tsar Bomba—Soviet codename Ivan. After multiple reductions, its final yield was fifty megatons of TNT.

Total weight: 27 tons.Length: 8 meters.Diameter: 2 meters.

The bomb Bai Ye now faced had been rapidly modified—its weight increased to 20 tons through emergency reinforcement, enough to contend for the title of the largest hydrogen bomb in history.

At the instant of detonation, an unimaginably bright flash split the heavens.Every person across the Americas felt the world light up, and countless onlookers were blinded instantly by the searing brilliance.

Moments later, when the blinding glare subsided, those whose eyes still worked could see it—a colossal fireball, thousands of meters wide, blooming in the sky.

Then came the mushroom cloud—rising several times higher than Mount Everest, vast enough to blot out the sun.

Compared to this hydrogen bomb, the previous Sentinel explosion was like a firecracker before a supernova.

Everything within tens of miles was obliterated. The shockwave swept outward, engulfing a portion of New York itself, leaving unimaginable devastation in its wake.

Had the bomb detonated in the city center, New York would have ceased to exist.

At ground zero—At the very heart of the blast—The outer two to three centimeters of Bai Ye's body were instantly vaporized by temperatures exceeding hundreds of millions of degrees.

But that was merely the first wave.

Though the heat rapidly dissipated, the monstrous shockwave followed—tearing what was left of his body apart as he was hurled through the inferno.

In mere instants, his once-human form was reduced to less than twenty kilograms of charred remains, fragments peeling away bit by bit.

Had anyone been able to observe the center of the nuclear blast, they would have seen a fragment of what looked like a blackened human corpse, twisting and burning in the flames.

Anyone would have deemed him dead on sight. But Bai Ye knew otherwise—This wasn't nearly enough to kill him.

Yes, he was still alive.

Even with his arms vaporized, his legs reduced to carbonized stumps, his brain searing hot enough to fry an egg—none of it brought him near true death.

At this point, Bai Ye's regenerative ability was so extreme that as long as a cluster of living cells the size of a dragon's eye remained, he could fully regenerate his body within five minutes.

And to be safe, he had already partially phased his core—turning part of it immaterial, just in case he pushed things too far.

Now, though the situation looked grim, it proved one thing clearly—Even a nuclear bomb couldn't kill him.

Three seconds later, Bai Ye's body was reduced to a piece barely the size of a fist—but the nuke's power had also weakened beyond its peak.

Relying on his inhuman durability, he endured a few more seconds until his regenerative power began to surge.

Cells divided and fused at a staggering rate.Every second of regeneration consumed what would amount to centuries of lifespan.

Name: Bai YeLifespan: 52,000,000… 52,010,000… 52,030,000… 52,090,000…

As his cells burned and rebuilt, his maximum lifespan increased.Because destruction, too, was a form of strengthening. Each regeneration tempered his flesh, hardening it beyond its prior limits—and with that, his vitality soared.

Compared to the gains measured in tens of thousands of years, the loss of a few hundred was negligible.

Seven seconds later, as the blast's strength faded, his body reached equilibrium—Then rapidly began to outpace destruction.

Soon, the blackened lump cracked apart, revealing crystalline muscle growing within.

With every breath, the flesh consumed its own cells—converting them into pure energy.Through this self-devouring cycle, the fist-sized mass doubled in volume within seconds.

Gradually, within the sea of flames, a small humanoid form began to take shape—the size of an infant at first, then swelling larger and larger—

Two years old…Five years old…Ten years old…

And then, in an instant, everything stopped.

It was as if time itself had jumped backward—Bai Ye's body restored to its state from one minute ago.

Within the fireball, his long black hair whipped wildly around his waist. His handsome face shone with fierce vitality.Eyes sharp, lips curved in a reckless grin—He hovered amidst the inferno.

Name: Bai YeLifespan: 60,000,000Strength: 4.4 + 0.6 → 4.5 + 0.6 (Force: 200,000 tons; Speed: Mach 12)Constitution: 4.4 + 0.4 → 4.5 + 0.4 (60 threads of inner energy per second; total reserve: 5800 years)

After days of battle and indulgence, his stats were already at the edge of breakthrough. The hydrogen bomb's destruction pushed them over—His strength and constitution both rose by 0.1.

That triggered a full system refresh. In an instant, all wounds vanished. His body—renewed, evolved, perfect once more.

"Ha ha! Ha ha ha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Inside the fireball, Bai Ye clutched his forehead and laughed maniacally—The sound shook the heavens, and the surrounding flames vanished under its resonance.

"Is… is he dead?"Inside S.H.I.E.L.D., the agents exchanged uncertain glances, eyes fixed on the flaming cloud on the monitor.

"He should be," Hill muttered. "That was a hydrogen bomb with the yield of the Tsar itself."

"I hope so," Nick Fury sighed. "If even that can't kill him… he might actually rule the entire world."

But soon enough, a streak of light burst from the fireball's edge—The sonic boom shattered the lingering flames within hundreds of meters.

"He's alive," Fury said grimly. "Not just alive—he looks stronger."

Everyone's faces went pale, despair sinking deep. How could they possibly fight an enemy like that?

Meanwhile, Bai Ye floated calmly in midair, arms folded across his chest, suspended by sheer inner energy.

There were still fifteen minutes left in the one-hour timer. He could wait.

"What about Plan B?" Fury asked, turning to Coulson.

Snapping out of his daze, Coulson checked the reports—and his face turned ashen once more.

"Failed," he said hoarsely. "All agents targeting Bai Ye's companions… have lost contact."
