Chapter 4 - Blood Refining Cultivation

Looking at the blood qi swirling around his arm, Long Xuan resolved to break through.

He clenched his fist and walked towards the Village Chief's house.

Before he even got close, a sweet smell of milk wafted over.

Long Xuan could guess what was going on; it was undoubtedly being prepared for that Little One.

Sure enough, upon entering the Village Chief's yard, he saw the Village Chief, Shi Yunfeng, brewing Beast Milk in a clay pot.

Little One had wide, round eyes fixed on the pot, occasionally licking his lips.

Shi Yunfeng chuckled, saying not to worry as the nutrients from the herbs still needed to be infused.

Suddenly, Long Xuan walked in. The Village Chief said kindly, "Little Xuan, do you want to come and have a drink later?"

Long Xuan nodded. He was also very curious about this Beast Milk. After all, he was still a child, so no one would say anything.

Seeing that he had no objections, Shi Yunfeng continued to brew with a smile.

Seeing that Shi Hao was still staring at the milk pot, Long Xuan asked him, "Little One, is this delicious?"

Shi Hao answered without thinking, "Mmhmm, Beast Milk is the most delicious thing. I can drink a lot at once."

Long Xuan smiled with a slightly adult-like expression and gently shook his head.

The Beast Milk was ready, and a rich milky fragrance wafted out – a green, additive-free food.

Shi Yunfeng divided it between Shi Hao and Long Xuan, giving each of them a clay pot.

After taking a simple taste, Long Xuan felt the flavor was rich, and the essence and nutrients within were also very high. Taking a sip made his whole body feel warm.

Turning his head to look at Shi Hao, he found that the other boy had already finished a whole jug.

After finishing the rest, he looked at Shi Yunfeng and said, "Village Chief Grandpa, can I come and drink this again in the future?"

The Village Chief smiled and said there was no problem, then asked, "Little Xuan, you probably haven't officially started cultivating yet, right?"

Long Xuan nodded. He came here precisely to ask about methods. Since Shi Yunfeng mentioned it, he continued, "Yes, Village Chief Grandpa, I want to start cultivating from now on."

"I just heard you can lift one hundred thousand jin of weight. That's truly astonishing." While speaking, Shi Yunfeng went into the house to get something.

Long Xuan wanted to help, but Shi Yunfeng waved his hand, indicating he could handle it.

During this time, he also looked at Shi Hao and asked, "Little One, have you been cultivating?"

Shi Hao shook his head. "Village Chief Grandpa said I'm still too young, and I can learn when I'm older."

"Then, when you start cultivating, I'll teach you a powerful Treasure Technique."

Shi Hao nodded happily, his voice still childish. "Brother, when I grow up, I'll catch big ferocious beasts and make barbecue for you."

Long Xuan smiled and nodded.

After a while, Shi Yunfeng came out of the house, holding a pile of Bone Books and walking with a staggered gait.

Long Xuan hurried over to take the Bone Books.

There weren't many Bone Books, but there weren't few either. Placed on the ground, they formed a small pile that reached Shi Yunfeng's knees.

Looking at these Bone Books, the Village Chief was also very solemn. These were all obtained by many people at the cost of their blood. They were the current cultivation methods of Stone Village and could be considered priceless treasures.

Being able to produce these shows they've already accepted Long Xuan as one of their own.

The Village Chief sighed with emotion, "These are practically all the precious cultivation methods we have in Stone Village."

Long Xuan quickly thanked him; these were too important to him, a key to unlock the door to cultivation.

He picked up a Bone Book and began to study it; he recognized all the symbols on it.

The symbols carved on the strange beast bones were natural characters, also records of cultivation methods.

Shi Hao couldn't help but look as well. Shi Yunfeng didn't stop Little One; it would be beneficial to learn ahead of time.

The Bone Books described how to combine blood with Runes to create Divine Radiance, then temper the creation of heaven and earth, thus beginning the path of cultivation.

Operating the Runes on the Bone Book felt like opening the Ren and Du Meridians; the Divine Radiance in his blood began to circulate.

The Runes on the Bone Books, though ordinary, were like a crucial piece of a puzzle, becoming completely whole after being completed.

The blood energy within Long Xuan was also astonishing. The Runes within it seized the creation of heaven and earth, nurturing a stronger Divine Radiance. His entire body was crystal clear, like a divine being, and his life force was as vast as the ocean, emitting a refreshing fragrance. He resembled a human-shaped precious medicine.

Shi Yunfeng, witnessing this scene, sighed at his truly excellent talent.

Little One also had some Runes flowing across their body through the Bone Books, appearing very mystical.

Seeing the progress of the two children, the Village Chief stroked his beard, thinking that Stone Village would definitely develop even better in the future.

Long Xuan, after completing a cycle, felt that although there was an improvement, it wasn't very obvious, but it was still effective.

He stood up to express his gratitude to Shi Yunfeng and proposed to seek out Willow Deity for help.

Shi Yunfeng didn't stop him, as he could see that Willow Deity also appreciated this young man.

Walking to the entrance of the village, he saw the withered, black willow tree, with a single branch emitting a verdant glow swaying gently.

The aura it emitted was constantly changing the environment, making the area like a land of immortals.

Seeing Long Xuan emerge, Willow Deity asked curiously, "Why aren't you cultivating with them?"

Long Xuan explained the question he wanted to ask: "Sister, I want to push my Blood Refining limit beyond one hundred thousand jin, to an unbelievable degree.

Do you have any methods?" He looked at Willow Deity with anticipation.

After a moment of silence, Willow Deity slowly said, "Ancient, Heavenly-Ranked ferocious beasts, in their youth, can lift one hundred thousand jin with a single arm.

And the descendants of the Ten Evils can easily achieve this, but surpassing this number is rare. If you want to achieve it, the effort required will be arduous, and perhaps then you might succeed.

Exceeding this in this realm is a forbidden path, and you may encounter unexpected situations at any time."

"You've already reached a good level at one hundred thousand jin. Are you sure you want to pursue that path?"

She thought highly of Long Xuan's talent. He had boundless potential, just like Shi Hao. Perhaps becoming a king wouldn't be difficult if he followed a standard cultivation path.

Long Xuan didn't hesitate. He said firmly, "Cultivation is inherently defying the heavens. Without this conviction, how can one climb the peak?

Furthermore, many crises lurk beneath the surface of a seemingly peaceful life.

If I can't surpass my limits, how can I protect the things I care about?"

Hearing Long Xuan's words, Willow Deity was astonished. He was truly a little adult. From his words, she understood that Long Xuan knew a lot.

At the same time, she admired his goal. Surpassing limits was extremely difficult, and he didn't have that air of arrogance, that "only I am supreme" attitude. He was very sunny.

"This is a hellish cultivation method. After I obtained it, I haven't seen anyone else practice it. There's a risk of death if you're not careful. Are you sure you want to?" Willow Deity said slowly, emphasizing the last sentence.

A piece of animal hide drifted down slowly. Long Xuan reached out and caught it, saying confidently, "No one cultivates because they haven't met me and my methods!"

However, he was stunned when he looked at the animal hide in his hand. The training described was practically a death sentence!

Just carrying a hundred thousand jin of massive stones while climbing up a waterfall, the simplest exercise, was already far beyond the most rigorous training.

The other methods were even more frightening, like sealing all cultivation and training in the Great Wilderness. If Willow Deity hadn't presented it, he would have thought it was a form of punishment.

Seeing his shocked expression, Willow Deity was pleased, letting him continue to boast.
