Inside the meeting hall, the atmosphere was heavier than it had ever been.

He was cut off by Lydia.

Lydia's voice dripped with disgust and emotion in a way Rafael had never heard from her before. Her gaze was feral and fixed on Siluren.
Siluren did not flinch under her stare.
"It had to be done," he fired back, almost as furious. "You were being cowards. Those bloodsuckers should have been detained, punished. By the Goddesses, there was a fucking Forsaken."
"And in your infinite wisdom, you decided to call for Unification?" Moran's voice was low and deceptively calm, yet it carried the same edge of anger.
