Everyone settled down around the table.
"You want to acuire our restaruant?" Noah said; intiating the conversation.
"Yes we do. I won't beat around the bush and make unnecessary conversations. What is your listed or marked price for the restaurant." Sophia asked; directly focusing on the main point without any superfluous chatter.
"How much are you willing to offer." Jenny asked; not being outdone in the negotiation.
"Without knowing your price, I can't offer you sum figure." Sophia said; unknowing entering into business minded state.
"Our price is 1 million$." Noah said, finally taking part in the conversation.
Aria had been silently analyzing everthing by the side. Looking that Noah had expressed his terms, she knew that she had to take over the negotiation from here.
"We can accept your terms and price but before that, you have to answer my one question." Aria said; entirely leading the conversation from there.
"What question?" Jenny asked; bewildered to why Aria was suddenly interfereing in between. But since she was a little child, Jenny couldn't bring herself to be rude to such a cute and pretty little hild.
"I am really curious about one thing. You own a restaurant at such a great location, the food is also very good and you even have such a huge flow of customers, then why do you want to sell such a profitable business?" Aria asked, wanting to confirm if her guess was correct or not.
Sure enough, the next answer destroyed the little bit hope left inside her; her brother Henry really became an handicap during this time.
"We definitely don't want to sell out our business but our son got into an accident and needs immediate surgery. The surgery costs an enormous amount of money. We tried to take a loan from our relatives and even the bank but there were no positive outcomes. Selling out this restaurant is our last option at the moment." Jenny said; tears collecting in her eyes as recalled her son lying on the hospital bed, whom she had left alone in the jospital just for this negotiation.
Aria's face paled when she heard those words.
"What! How is he? Is he fine? What did the doctor said about the surgery? It isn't too late now, right?" Aria worriedly asked; dreadful by the thought that she might be late.
Aria's sudden outburst left the elders completely befuddled and shocked. Though confused, Jenny still answered her question.
"According to the doctor, the situation is under control at the moment but the surgery must be performed till the day after tomorrow or else my Henry will become an handicap." Jenny said, her tears falling down her cheeks as the imageof Henry kept appering infront of her eyes again and again. Everyone had tears in their eyes by now.
Sophia quickly stood up, hurriedly comforting the poor woman. Being a mother who had strongly fought for her daughter more than once, she understood, felt and could connect to Jenny's emotional burdens.
"It's fine. It is going to be all ok. Nothing will happen to Henry. You have to be stong at the moment." Sophia said; trying to comfort and motivate Jenny.
Gazing at his wife's emotional and mental breakdown, Noah felt heart-broken but didn't let it appear on his face, acting strong for his family but unknown to him, Aria noticed everything, breaking her heart into several pieces but didn't let it show. This was not the tme to cry, it was the time for to unite and fight for Henry.
"Auntie, mommy is telling the truth. We will definitely save brother Henry. Just wait, in a few days, brother Henry will be standing on his legs, running here and there, wasting all his time troubling you." Aria cheerful said; though the sile on face was obviously fake.
"Exactly. Don't worry about it." Sophia also nodded in agreement with her daughter.
"Jenn, control your emotions. We still have complete our previous conversation." Noah said, finally calming done Jenny as the previous serious environment continued.
"We have given you all price. What is your final offer?" Noah asked. clenching his fist under the table, nervous about their final decision. Jenny was in no better condition than Noah; her breathing uneven as she awaited thir decision.
Sophia didn't reply, gazing at Aria on her left, wanting her to make the ultimate decision.
"No need for any further negotiation. we agree to the price you have offered. We can sign the agreement anytime." Ariia announced her final decision; giving the Abson couple an unexpected pleasant suprise. A look of utter blissfulness appeared on their face as they radiated with complete joy. They couldn't believe all of this really happened. Their son finally had a chance of survival and standing on his feets again.
"Th..thank you..so much. You don't know what favor you have done to us." Jenny said; her eyes sparkling with unrestrained happiness as she repeatedly bowed her head infront of them.
"We haven't done you any favour. This was just a fair deal. Please stop bowing." Sophia said; feeling embarrassed and self-concious about thw whole situation but didn't question Aria's decision. She had unconciously developed a sense of complete trust in Aria, never doubting or questioning her abilities.
"The contract is already ready. We can sign it here this instant." Noah interjected in between, really grateful to Sophia and Aria;trying his best to keep himself calm in the situation and not to lose control like his wife.
"We can sign the document but before that, I have an offer for you, Uncle. Are you interested in hearing about it?" Aria said, finally getting onto the main purpose.
Noah and Jenny paused; confused and worried about what might this offer be.
"What is your offer." Noah asked; a little scared about what might it be.
"Don't feel scared or anything like that uncle. Since you are selling this restaurant and soon will be unemployed, I want to offer you a partnership." Aria said, exposing her purpose. Noah also sighed in relief upon hearing Aria's words. He could tell by now what did Aria want.
"You want to hire me to work for you?" Noah guessed though he felt he was most likely 90% sure.
"Something like that but I don't want to actually hire you. I want to develop a partnership with you. I want to convert this small restaurant into a fancy, luxurious, one of a kind five star resturant." Aria stated her her plan; leaving the three elders infront of her completely dumbfounded.
Taking a deep breath to calm his restless heart down, Noah replied,
"A five star restaurant? Do you even realise what you are saying? dp you think bulding such a restaurant is a child's play? And even if you are able to buld one, do you actually think my skills could actually bear the tag and responsibilities?"
"Maybe not at the moment but with enough training and hardwork, it is definitely possible. Don't doubt your talent uncle. Have some confidence in yourself and moreover, it's not like you have to start from tomorrow. You will enough time for practice. Furthermore, our restaurant will be different from others. We will go for a fixed menu for evryone which will lower the pressure on you and enhance your expertise and skills on them." Aria peacefully explained her idea in detail.
"What exactly do you have in your mind? What do you want to do? How exactly do you want to partnership with me?" Noah asked, perplexed by her words.
"It is actually very simple. I want to develop this place into a grand and opulent place. All the construction, designing and everything will definitely take about 2 to 3 months to complete. I will invest all the money in the project while you will have to build your own professional team and come up with an interesting menu for the restaurant within this time period, elevating them into such delicacies that attract people to come again and again. I will also help you in that of course. When the restaurant opens, we will dicide the profit 50-50 at that time with me investing the money while you invest the talent and the skills." Aria laid out all her cards, explaining everything in detail.
The three elders quite down uipon listening to her words, each lost in their own thoughts. After what felt like eternity to Aria, Noah finally replied,
"Even though your idea is great in every manner, I still want some time to think about it thoroughly. My son handle all the business related stuff for us so I need to discuss with him about your proposal. I will give you a definite answer about it after discussing everything with him." Noah said; his decision final.
"O. How about this, tomorrow we go and visit brother Henry in the hospital. We can sign the documents there itself and also discuss evrything with him as well." Aria said; excited to meet her brother once again and also finalize everything.
"Ok. Then it is final." Jenny said; ending the conversation for the day.
