Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 Doomed Failure

"Boom, boom, boom."

In his soul form, Allens quietly watched his future self fighting against the Avengers. As time passed, those who had been resurrected by Hulk's snap joined the battlefield.

From the golden portals came the armies of Wakanda led by King T'Challa, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange with the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and every Avenger who had returned.

On the other side, Thanos entered the fray, his Black Order Legion descending to the battlefield. Cull Obsidian led the charge.

"Everything is doomed."

Time leapt forward. Thanos and the Avengers clashed. Death Star Allens fought against the Avengers as well, but even with his future self joining the fight, the end remained unchanged.

"Snap."

Seizing the six Infinity Stones from Thanos, Tony Stark snapped his fingers, determination burning in his eyes.

"Chi, chi, chi—"

The war ended with that single snap. The Black Order was wiped out. Only Thanos and Death Star Allens remained standing.

Thanos, watching his army dissolve into dust, grew weary. His expression hollow, he sat down among the ruins. His eyes reflected loneliness as he gazed at the setting sun. Then, with a final breath, he too turned to ash, blown away by the wind.

As for Death Star Allens, his Regenerative Healing Factor let him cling to life for a moment longer. But before the absolute power of the Infinity Stones reshaping reality, even that wasn't enough.

"…In the end… I still never fixed the watch. Without my core strength… this is where it ends?"

He raised his left hand. The old mechanical watch on his wrist was still intact, untouched even in battle. He looked at it with regret. His luck was simply too cruel.

"Woosh—"

Death Star Allens' body disintegrated, fading into dust.

Meanwhile, the soul-form Allens watched as the vision around him blurred, pulling him back rapidly.

"Buzz."

With a low hum, Allens' soul returned to his body. His blank white eyes turned black again. Staring down at the sketches in front of him, he frowned.

"The reason my future self failed… is because I never gained Sailor's super ability."

He studied the drawings carefully. His ability recorded visions of the future as illustrated comics whenever his soul traveled forward in time. These pages clearly showed the Avengers' Endgame, and even himself and Thanos turning to dust.

Allens had prepared for this, stocking his room with paper and brushes so his body could record what his soul witnessed.

"My future self was unlucky. Whether it was Sailor's ability or Peter Parker's duplication power, I didn't obtain them. That's why—even with all those abilities—he still failed from the very beginning."

Eyes narrowing, Allens sealed the drawings into a file bag. What he saw of the future meant nothing to him. The past and future no longer bound him—time travel by the Avengers had already broken that chain.

"Hodgson, seal this file. Set clearance to Level 10."

He handed the bag to Hodgson Barnett, who was working nearby.

"Understood, boss."

Though Hodgson didn't understand where this mysterious file had come from, he obeyed, locking it away securely.

"Boss, our agents found a hospital record for Peggy Carter."

Hodgson produced another file, offering it respectfully. Though serving Allens, Hodgson still retained access to some HYDRA resources without their knowledge.

"HYDRA's sleeper plan really is airtight. Only top-level superiors know the agents' identities. That secrecy protected them for decades. But if conquered from the inside… HYDRA will still fall."

Allens flipped through the file, a cold smile on his lips.

"Horton Hospital… an old woman named Peggy Carter was admitted last month."

This was the clue he needed. If he could track Peggy, he could follow the thread back to where he wanted.

"Continue the investigation in secret. Use S.H.I.E.L.D.'s power if necessary."

With a flick of his hand, the file floated back into Hodgson's grasp.

Once Hodgson left, Allens sank into thought.

The title of "Death Star" sounded intimidating, but in the future he was still only Thanos' subordinate. That was unacceptable. Allens had crossed into this world to surpass all others. Thanos should be his subordinate.

He understood why Death Star Allens could only stand beneath the Titan. Despite his vast arsenal of powers, he still fell short of Thanos' Titan physiology—stronger even than Hulk's body.

"It's not just bad luck. Maybe… he failed the very first task from the Heroes Rising system: stealing old Captain America's quantum suit. There was no punishment, but losing that chance cost him the path to being the strongest."

Light gleamed in Allens' eyes. He clenched his fists.

"This time, I won't fail."

His gaze sharpened, icy with resolve.

"God's chosen son… Captain America, Steve Rogers. It seems we're destined to become enemies."
