"Bang, bang, bang."
On the bench in Parkerson Park, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents led by Agent May advanced step by step. Carl Creel, his body now turned completely to stone, struggled to lift his head under the barrage of gunfire.
"Skye, go after Bakshi. We cannot let the Obelisk fall into HYDRA's hands," May ordered, her cold gaze fixed on Creel as she fired, both hands steady on her pistols.
"Got it, May."
Skye nodded, firing a few shots before sprinting off down Bakshi's escape route.
"Who… who are you?" Bakshi demanded in shock as he suddenly confronted a hooded stranger. He ignored Lena standing nearby—he knew her history well—but this cloaked man was unknown, and that unsettled him.
"As you wish, beautiful little flower, Ms. Raina," the man said coolly. His name was Allens. His eyes flashed coldly as he raised his hand. A wave of psychokinesis erupted, and Bakshi's body froze, suspended helplessly in the air.
"Impressive… you really are different," Raina whispered with growing excitement. Her eyes burned with fanaticism as she watched Allens' power unfold.
"I—I serve Mr. Whitehall of HYDRA!" Bakshi stammered in terror, straining against the invisible grip that bound him.
"Oh? Whitehall?" Allens' voice was icy. "Don't worry—you'll be meeting him in hell soon."
With a flick of his hand, the psychokinetic grip crushed Bakshi's body. In an instant, he exploded into a cloud of blood mist—erased without a trace.
"Y–you're kidding me…"
Skye arrived just in time to see the gruesome sight. Her breath caught, trembling at the sight of Bakshi bursting apart mid-air. Though she'd seen death before, this display left her horrified.
"Skye, report—what just happened?" Phil Coulson's voice crackled through comms. He had heard the fear in Skye's voice. At the same time, he pulled up the surrounding surveillance feed.
"Oh my god…"
Even Coulson, usually calm, gasped when he saw the live feed.
On the monitor, a figure in a black robe stood before Skye, his right hand clenched as Bakshi was reduced to nothing but mist.
"This… this isn't scientific. It's even more impossible than Creel's ability," Fitz muttered, stunned beyond words. The S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist could only stammer his disbelief.
"Bang, bang, bang!"
Snapping out of her shock, Skye pulled the trigger at Allens.
"Ding, ding, ding."
The bullets froze in midair, suspended effortlessly by his power. The illusion surrounding Allens shimmered and vanished—Parkerson Park was gone.
In its place stretched a devastated alien battlefield. Ruins smoldered. Crashed ships lay scattered. The corpses of alien soldiers—and faintly, even the silhouettes of Avengers—littered the ground.
"What the hell is going on?!" Creel shouted, his stone form trembling as even he recoiled from the sudden shift.
"Is this… magic?" Coulson muttered, staring at the impossible images on the screen. Fitz beside him was equally dumbfounded.
"It's incredible, isn't it? That's what makes him different," Raina said with fanatical excitement, clenching her fists as she stared at Allens in awe.
Allens ignored their shock. He crooked a finger, and the case containing the Obelisk floated to Lena's side. The box opened in midair, revealing the artifact inside.
"Raina, take it," Allens commanded.
The Obelisk floated toward her. For the first time, Raina hesitated—she had seen countless people disintegrate at its touch. Fear flashed in her eyes.
"Don't be afraid. You've always believed you were different. Prove it—pick it up."
His voice was low, persuasive, almost hypnotic.
"No! Raina, don't listen to him!" Skye shouted, her weapon still trained on Allens. Enemy or not, she couldn't bear to watch Raina walk into death.
"Yes… I am different," Raina whispered, trembling with resolve. She reached out and grasped the Obelisk.
At once, strange glowing red symbols lit up across its surface.
"Damn it, Raina—you're insane!" Skye cursed, torn between anger and fear.
"Bang, bang, bang!"
Recovering from shock, May opened fire on Allens. Tripp and Hunter joined her, unleashing a storm of bullets.
"Psychokinesis—control of matter," Allens murmured coldly.
With a gesture, every bullet froze in midair. Then, with another flick of his hand, May, Skye, Tripp, and Hunter were wrenched upward, suspended helplessly like puppets.
"Shit… is this guy one of us? Either way, I'm out of here," Creel muttered. Even he looked shaken as he bolted from the battlefield.
"It's too late to run," Allens sneered.
With a single motion, Creel was yanked back at blinding speed, slammed into Allens' outstretched hand, trapped by invisible force.
"Now then, Carl Creel… let's see how your ability really works."
Allens' lips curved into a demonic smile. Extending his left index finger, he formed a blade of raw psychokinetic energy, pressing it slowly toward Creel's temple.
"What the hell are you doing, you son of a bitch?!" Creel roared. His body morphed into a gleaming diamond structure, straining desperately against the invisible bonds. But no matter how he fought, he could not break free.
"Chi-la… chi-la…"
The psychokinetic blade scraped against his diamond skin with a piercing shriek. Even Creel's hardened form began to crack under the relentless pressure.
