"Uh… please, don't do this… please…"
Carl Creel's diamond body cracked inch by inch, his form collapsing under the invisible force tearing him apart. His voice was filled with desperate pleading.
Crack… click.
Allens' psychokinetic blade sliced relentlessly, shattering the diamond structure bit by bit. Yet even as his skull fractured, no blood spilled from Creel's body.
"An interesting ability… but this is where it ends."
Amusement glimmered in Allens' eyes. With a slight curl of his finger, the Obelisk flew from Raina's hand and hovered menacingly in front of Creel.
"Damn it—what's he trying to do?"
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, still suspended helplessly in midair by Allens' psychokinesis, could only watch in horror.
"Fitz, run a full scan. Find out who this guy is. I've got a bad feeling we're facing a brand-new threat," Coulson ordered, sweat beading on his forehead as he monitored the feed from the Bus.
Fitz's fingers flew across the keyboard, uploading Allens' face into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database. Within seconds, the system pinged back.
"Found him. Name: Allens. Asian, 27 years old. Records are normal up until July 2007… then he vanished."
"Vanished?" Coulson muttered, frowning. A blank file, no explanation—nothing that could account for the terrifying display of power unfolding on-screen.
Meanwhile, Creel writhed in agony. His enhanced strength, bolstered by the super soldier serum, was useless against the crushing weight of Allens' power.
The true horror, however, was the Obelisk slowly drifting toward him.
"No! Please! Don't do this!" Creel begged, eyes wild with fear.
Allens remained unmoved, intoxicated by the rhythm echoing in his mind—the ticking, the pulse of universal law itself.
The Obelisk touched Creel's arm.
Creel's ability, to absorb and transform into any material he touched, activated instinctively. His form shifted wildly—rubber, stone, wood, cycling through every material he'd ever absorbed—before his right arm wrapped around the Obelisk and locked it in place. Finally, his body stabilized back into human form.
"The genes of the Inhumans make you powerful… but they also bind you," Allens said with a wicked grin. His finger extended again, the psychokinetic blade pressing deeper.
Creel's screams echoed as Allens effortlessly cut into his skull this time, prying it open like fragile glass.
The agents frozen in the air stared in disbelief. The mysterious intruder had just exposed Creel's brain to open air.
"Let's see how your power really works…"
Allens traced the folds of Creel's brain with eerie precision, as though studying a delicate machine. Then, with a flick of his hand—
"Found it."
A devilish smile curved his lips. He withdrew, clapping his hands together, then turned toward Raina.
"Beautiful little flower… you wanted to see my power? Watch closely."
Ripples spread from his fingertips, enveloping his body. In an instant, Allens' entire form crystallized into diamond.
"Carl Creel's ability—the power to absorb and transform anything he touches—is now mine."
He examined his diamond-coated hand, admiring the way sunlight refracted through it. Then he pressed it to the ground.
Crack—
His hand transformed into concrete. He slammed it down, and the earth caved inward in a violent tremor.
"All the forms Creel absorbed… all of them belong to me now," Allens whispered with satisfaction. "And I ripped them straight from his mind."
Behind him, Raina's eyes shone with worshipful awe. "It's incredible… beautiful. Truly different…"
"Don't move! Hands in the air!"
The moment was broken by the late arrival of HYDRA reinforcements. Dozens of agents poured into the battlefield illusion, weapons trained on Allens.
Allens' gaze sharpened, murderous intent flashing like a blade.
"Perfect timing," he said coldly. "Let's test my new ability."
