Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: A Reunion And I Met A Cowardly Satyr

BOOK 1: The Incompetence Of The Big Three (The Lightning Thief)

"You shall go west and face the god who has turned.

You shall find what was stolen and see it safely returned.

You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend.

And you shall fail to save what matters most, in the end."

"Betrayed? Me? By one who calls me a friend? Worthless mortals like them?

None of them matters to me. Only my mother and ■■■.

These so-called Big Three are gods? More like useless fools! Especially that supposedly father of mine! Tainting away my perfect visage!!

If it weren't for the fact that I have been considerably weakened thanks to my imperfect blood, I would have already defied these Fates!!!"

"Mother, are these myths actually for real?" Percy sneered in contempt as he read a mythological book about the Twelve Olympians. Thanks to having his memories returned, some of Percy's powers have been unsealed and slowly but surely, his formerly godly status merged with his current body. Some of his raven locks returned to his former body's original hair color which is blonde. He is also now able to read properly without the trouble of dyslexia.

Sally could only snicker in amusement. "Unfortunately for you, Percy, they are."

Percy clicked his tongue in disgust. "Tch. These gods are this useless? And do not give me that look, mother. They cannot do anything to us. I made sure that we are untraceable. I can insult them however I want."

"Can't be helped, Percy. It's a habit now," she sighed as she continued to work on her manuscript.

It has been a year and a half now since THAT incident happened. That day has been marked as the "Pseudo Apocalypse" by the world as the whole North and South America as well as whole of Europe, whole of Middle East, and West Africa (continent) were affected by a very strong earthquake caused by Percy himself. Magnitude 8.0 covered the whole USA, 7.8 - 7.3 for the whole of North and South America, Atlantic Ocean, and a portion of Pacific Ocean while the rest were 7.3 and below.

Over 1 billion people were dead. Infrastructures destroyed. Roads and bridges collapsed. Tsunamis as high as 200 meters sweeped all over the affected areas near the coasts.

No one knew exactly how it happened. Cult fanatics and religious groups would often claim that it was their own god/s who did it, angered that they were being unfaithful. Some scientists and geologists would claim that the cause of such worldwide earthquakes and tsunamis were due to the seismic waves from the tectonic plates shifting and moving.

In a way, they were correct, except that that specific god- or in this case, demigod- was wrothful thanks to a certain human garbage hurting his precious loved one.

It took the world a little over one year to recover from it, though not completely.

Sally, although it has been over a year since Gabe was killed, she still has PTSD, flinching every time men touched her, even just accidentally. Only her son's touch did she not flinch in fear from as her own body recognizes her own flesh and blood and that he was the one who rescued her.

Percy wanted to march down to the Underworld to torture Gabe's soul after seeing her lingering fear but Sally stopped him.

After that incident, Sally and Percy decided to settle down to the coast in Montauk. It was one of the only places in the country where it was not completely destroyed as Percy used his powers to clean up the coasts. Sally rented a cheap but high-quality apartment near the coast for them to live. Percy wanted to interject and told her that he could just use his power to create a mansion for them (it would have been a palace but he took into consideration that those useless gods might sense them and disturb his mother so he settled for a mansion, and ■ ■ r■■, ■f ■ ■ ■w■ ■ s■d) but Sally was adamant to provide for them. They both ended up with a compromise that he'll be in charge of their safety while she provides for the two of them.

Sally ended up becoming a writer as a way to earn money while at the same time, pursuing her passion. She let her son read her drafts. Wanting to help his mother as well as being a perfectionist, he gave constructive criticism while at the same time, proofreading her works. Together, both mother and son became the co-author of one of the world's most famous and sold out book of the year, 『Memoirs Of The Damned』. However, unknown to the both of them, the book itself will eventually ignite the hearts of a lot of people around the world and cause a world-wide rebellion and will e■■t■■y b■■ ■ k■ ■ a■m■■d■.

[Somewhere in the fields near the shores of Montauk, unknown time...]

"Ah, sh*t. D*mn it. They're far too persistent!"

A malnourished 13-year girl with disheveled shoulder-length red hair, black lines like tattoos covering her face and body, pale skin covered in dirt and blood, and wearing oversized t-shirt with ripped pants can be seen, running away from a pack of hellhounds and two empusas. Her crimson eyes scanning her surroundings to see if there are any humans nearby.

Sensing and seeing that there are no humans around, she stopped her tracks, turned to face the monsters who were targetting her. Bending over her knees, she leaped from the floor, wide cracks appeared from where she positioned from. She punched one empusa that was about to slash her with its newly shifted claws. It burst and turned into dust. She then rotate her body to 45 degrees and Dollyo-chagied (roundhouse kick) a hellhound to its jaws. With every kicks and punches, all the hellhounds and empusas turned to dust. This all happened within a span of ten seconds.

*Huff* *huff* *huff* "D*mn this weak body of mine. Ugh. My body's all filthy now," complained the girl as she examined her own body. Dirt and sweat covered every part of her body and clothes.

As she looked around, she could see the sea, her eyes melancholic. The sea, huh? Despite being an assh*le, I still miss him. She was about to walk towards the sea waters when she sensed someone approaching her. Turning her head, she could see a very familiar person, except younger and has raven hair with blonde highlights. Both of their eyes widen in recognition.

"Adamas?" "Poseidon?" both said at the same time.

If there's anything Percy has ever regretted in his long life, then it is killing his beloved brother, Adamas.

Back then, when he was still Poseidon, he thought of him as nothing more than a nuisance, someone who kept on annoying him and who was not fit to be a god.

When he staged a rebellion against Zeus, gaining the support of 49 members of the council, Adamas fought against Poseidon just so he could acknowledge him and look him in the eyes, something which he never did. Adamas got his wish in the form of him being impaled by his trident. In another universe, Adamas have survived the blow. But in this story, Adamas died as ■■ ■ ■■ ■■.

At first, Percy felt nothing and just went on his day. However, not long after, he somehow felt restless. It wasn't long before he realized that it was because Adamas hadn't annoyed him in days. Memories of his childhood days had appeared in his head and he realized one common factor among his memories with Adamas. He does not remember his face. He panicked and tried to search all of his memories of him and none had his full face, only his smiles. For the first time in his entire life, tears fell from his eyes as he regret killing his brother.

Adamas, where are you?

Why haven't you annoyed me yet?

Is this your way of punishing me for not looking at you in the eyes?

How dare you let me get used to your constant annoyance only to leave me behind?

Brother, I want your attention.

Soon, the seas of both Midgar and Olympus became restless. Both got even worse when Zeus found out that it was him who killed Adamas. Both of them fought until Hades had to stop them forcefully. It wasn't long until Percy had demanded that Adamas' records be expunged out of history as he wanted to forget about him and the agony and guilt he felt after killing him. Spoiler alert: never once did he move on.

Now in the present time, it looked like time has stopped for the both of them. Never once did he take his eyes off of her, less she disappeared like before. "Adamas?" His hand then slowly reached for her face. "Brother, is that you?"

The now-identified girl, Adamas, gazed at him for a few seconds. A while ago, she froze when she saw Percy, his aura the same as before even with the changes in his looks. She did not expect that Percy actually looked at her in the eyes. Him. That Poseidon. The one who never even looked at others in the eyes as they worth nothing to him save for those he actually acknowledged.

She responded to his question, "Yes, Poseidon. It is I. It's been a long time, hasn't it? Last time since you impaled me with your trident and killed me." He flinched at those words. She then added, "And please don't call me brother."

His hand froze mid-air. "Why call me brother when I am a woman?" He froze again but this time, for a different reason. He slowly tested out the word. "Sister?"

Adamas only chuckled in amusement. "Funny story, actually. Even back in our past lives, I was also a woman. I was forced to morph into a man by none other than our deadbeat father. After all, he did not want his own prized possession as a woman, especially since I possessed the domain that he wanted and needed. Hence why asides from father, only mother knows as well. Even after his death, I guessed I got used to being treated as a man hence why I kept my form until my death."

Hearing her past made him unleashed his killing intent. That father of theirs DARED to force Adamas into someone she did not want to?

Sensing his killing but not even directed towards her, she hurriedly caught his hand that was still frozen in mid-air and tried to calm him down, her own aura trying to quashed his killing intent. "Calm down, Poseidon. I'm fine. It's in the past. The humans around us will die if you continue to release your killing intent."

Normally, he did not care for those humans if they die or not. But since his mother is also present and is near them, and as well as feeling Adamas' soft but dirty hands, he retracted his killing intent.

He was about to say something when he heard Sally's voice calling out to him. "Percy, did something happen? I sensed your killing intent and I wanted to check up on you." Sally, who went towards Percy, saw Adamas who held his hand. She asked, a teasing tone lying underneath her question, "Percy, who's this? I did not know that my son got a girlfriend without my knowledge."

Adamas blushed at being called Percy's girlfriend. Percy's faced remained collected. "Mother, this is Adamas, the who I told you before," said he, not even bothering to try to deny her words.

Sally's eyes widen in recognition. She smiled warmly at Adamas. "Hi. My name's Sally Jackson. I'm your brother's mother in his current life." She then gestured for both of them to follow her. "Come on. Let's get back home. You can explain everything to me there."

And so the two of them followed Sally back to their apartment. Adamas asked Percy on why he was called as Percy and why Sally claimed to be his mother. Percy explained to Adamas his current situation and how he became Perseus Poseidonas Jackson. He also told her that if he wanted to still call him by his previous name, then she should call him Poseidonas for the sake of his mother's peace of mind. Seeing how much he have changed and how he cared for Sally, she agreed without hesitation.

Adamas then explained his circumstances. How she was reborn after her death. How her current life father raised her and took care of her. About her mother being a drunkard and abusive towards her father and her. Percy was about to use his power to kill her mortal mother when Adamas and Sally hurriedly stopped him. Adamas then continued with her tale. How her father defended her from her egg donor's abuse. How she killed her own mother when she was too late to save her father. How she ran away and was chased by Greek monsters before she encountered Percy again.

After hearing her story, Sally have come to a decision that Adamas will live with them and that she'll attend the same school as Percy. Adamas wanted to reject her kind offer when Percy told her to just agree as there is no changing of her mind. She finally said yes.

After that, everyone can see how the two former siblings sticked together even in school. Percy being as cold as always but only paid attention to Adamas and Adamas beating up bullies who even tried to bully her or Percy (not that he needed it but he allowed her to do so).

Three months have passed by then when both siblings sensed that the new student who has been in their school for four days now is no ordinary human but a satyr.

As the satyr shyly went to their table to eat lunch, a lot of enchiladas in his plate, he stutteringly asked them, "Uh, h-hi. Can I s-sit with you? A-All the tables are full and y-yours is the only one w-with a vacant space."

Percy sneered in contempt and was about to insult the satyr when Adamas slapped the back of his head.

"Calm down, Poseidonas. He's just an innocent kid." Adamas then turned towards the satyr whose body shook in fear of Percy's contemptuous gaze. "Sorry about this guy. He doesn't really like everyone except for few. You can sit with us."

The satyr then hesitantly took his seat right in front of her. "T-Thank y-you," stuttered he with a fearful tone. Adamas then introduced herself. "Hello. I'm Adamas Monteverde. This guy here is my brother, Perseus Poseidonas Jackson. What's your name?"

The satyr noticed that both have different surnames but did not comment on it. Perhaps their relationship were like siblings despite not being related. "G-Grover. Grover Underwood."
