Chapter 19 - Get Ready

It has been more than two years since I arrived in this wonderful world of Pokémon.

I have been training myself and my Pokémon for the past year and a half.

I think now, my Pokémon and I are ready to venture out in the forest. We are strong enough to at least escape if the situation turns for the worse.

I had continuously trained my body for the last year.

I had forgotten to ask about the number of days, weeks, or months in a year. I now have no idea about time periods in this world.

Does a day have twenty-four hours?

Does a week have seven days?

Does a month have thirty days?

How many months make up a year?

According to my old world, I should be around twelve or thirteen years old at this point.

I was about five feet tall. Despite looking quite young, I was strong.

I had regularly trained my martial art skills with Zeraora, Binalce, and Jangmo-o.

I was currently at a stream, not far from the maintenance shaft. I was training along with my Pokémons.

Finally, after I ran out of all the stamina in my body. I dragged my body towards the flowing water.

As I bent over to drink some water, I caught my face.

I had changed quite a bit from my original twelve-year-old self.

I felt like I was more handsome and leaner in this world than in my original world.

My reflection in the water was crystal clear.

The reflection had black hair dripping down to the chest. My clothes were almost torn and worn out from the rough use over the past year. And, I don't blame them; these are the clothes I had collected from the Hunter's sleeping tent. These were probably made for long use.

No matter from whichever angle you look, I almost looked like a homeless nomad who was wandering the country for who knows how long.

As I lifted my head from my reflection. I looked around at my Pokémon. They were training with each other.

I was not the only one who was training for the past year. I was training my Pokémon.

I now had seven Pokémon team members.

Zeraora.

It was the first Pokémon I befriended in this world. Also, he was the first Pokémon I caught after getting a few hundred Poké Balls from the hunters.

Luxio.

Yes, my Shinx had evolved into a Luxio after fainting and getting injured just from standing outside the range of Mother Zeraora's Explosion attack. It had started training furiously the past year. It had been training alongside Zeraora for its electric-type moves. It had been sparring with Fennekin and Zorua. It had also been training until it ran out of stamina, only to train some more to push its limits. It was basically the same training I do to increase my stamina. Well, it is not surprising since I was the one advised to do the same anyway.

Archen.

The third Pokémon I had caught. Archen also had become very motivated to train after the incident with the Pokémon hunters.

Though not on the same level as Luxio, Archen had also trained hard. It had even learned two new moves.

Zorua (Huisian).

The second mythical Pokémon I had caught and the bona fide prankster of the group. I couldn't understand the reason why, but for some reason, I could feel Zorua's emotions more than others. It was on the same level as Zeraora. It did not make any sense; it was a similar connection that I felt with Zeraora when I met him for the first time on my second day here. I felt the same connection with Zeraora as well.

Although I wanted to figure this out as much as possible as quickly as I could, I also wanted to give it some time.

I will find out the answers sooner or later once I finally leave this place.

Braixen.

Yes, my Fennekin had also evolved. Although it was fairly recent. But it had evolved nonetheless. I couldn't wait to teach Braixen some fighting-type techniques anyway. It obviously cannot learn fighting-type moves, but practising martial arts would become a good way to warm up and increase its stats, like reflexes and stamina.

Binacle.

Binacle was my only Pokémon that did not learn anything in the last year. I was having a hard time teaching it any claw or water-based moves. Also, Binacle itself didn't look very enthusiastic about training, so I didn't force it. I knew that not all Pokémon have the same personalities, so it would be wrong of me to force it into training.

Jangmo-o.

The most recent Pokémon I had caught was Jangmo-o. And, it was the most promising Pokémon in my entire team. Despite having trained for roughly the same time as the others, its growth was monstrous. Being a fighting-type Pokémon, it had also picked up my martial arts much faster than the others. It had also managed to learn two new moves and create a third one based on my martial arts.

I was stunned at first. I guess I still didn't realize how real this world was.

My thoughts were still limited to the anime and the games.

First, I found out that you can combine two moves at the same time as long as you are efficient in both of them, then I found out that you can very well create your own move.

With creativity and hard work, the Sky is the limit.

I, myself, had also leveled up my training.

I had increased my stamina and reflexes as much as I could.

Now, it was finally time.

"Guys, Get Ready."

All of my Pokémon turned towards me.

"Tomorrow, at dawn, we will start our journey to the outside world."

"For the last year, we have worked hard enough, and I think we are ready."

"So, get ready because we are going to be starting a new chapter of our lives tomorrow."

"Zera Zera"

"Zorua Zoura"

"Bin Binacle"

"Braixen"

"Jang Jan-"

"Lux-"

"Arch."

Everyone shouted at the top of their lungs; they were excited for their future to come.
