Elora's POV
My nails pressed painfully into my palms as I clenched my fists, and I bit the inside of my cheek to stop my emotions from spilling out.
My mind raced wildly, throwing questions at me faster than I could answer them. Would she expose everything? Would she tell the entire school that I was their mate? The thought alone made my stomach twist in fear.
Harriet's gaze moved lazily between Kael and me, and the disdain on her face was impossible to miss. Her lips curled in open disgust as if my mere presence offended her.
"It is quite surprising to see you with this loser," she said coldly, her eyes settling on me with pure scorn. Then her attention shifted to the bags Kael was holding, and I noticed the way her gaze lingered on them, silently putting the pieces together.
My heart pounded harder inside my chest.
