Nerina's POV
The way he carried himself made it clear to me that he was not going to accept a refusal.
His touch brought back memories of how I had been touched before, reminiscent of the triplet. He gazed down at me with gentle eyes that made my heart race. I instinctively stepped away from him, putting some distance between us.
"I'm not going anywhere until you tell me who you are and what you want from me," I snapped at him. He assessed me with his eyes and smirked in response.
"Fierce, huh? I just saved your life. Do you really think I would harm you?" he said softly, his expression twisted as he stared at me.
I looked back at him and recognized that he was Russian, just like the triplet.
"Tell Vlad and the others that I'm not returning to that castle, not after everything that's happened," I said, and he took a step closer to me. I instinctively moved back while he smiled at me.
