Three days in Karnok had done nothing to quiet Ravage's howling inside Knox's head. If anything, the distance had made it worse. He strode through the stone corridors of the Blackwood fortress, tired from their trip.
Zev followed two paces behind him silently. The warrior's face betrayed nothing, but he kept a careful distance from his Alpha, having witnessed Knox's rage too many times to risk provoking it.
As Knox walked down, he tried to push down whatever had been bothering him. Knox and Kade had spent the last three days hashing out negotiations with the Alpha. He had barely been left alone, and now, all he wanted was to be alone with his fury because sleep was out of the question.
"What is the status of the warriors' training?" Knox asked without turning. "Has Rowan maintained the schedule in my absence?"
"Yes, Alpha," Zev replied immediately. "The warriors train from dawn until midday. Rowan has them working on silver tolerance as you instructed before your departure."
