Peter didn't come to school the next day. He and Aunt May stayed at the hospital to be with Uncle Ben.
After what happened the previous night, Peter realized how important Uncle Ben was to him.
This kind, middle-aged man had long been as important as a father in Peter's life.
Uncle Ben and Aunt May were like Peter's father and mother, raising him from childhood and taking care of him in every way.
Peter also told Meng Ran and the others the next morning.
Meng Ran and the others decided to go to the hospital to visit Uncle Ben after school that afternoon.
In the afternoon, Meng Ran, Harry, Gwen, and Mary Jane all came to the hospital to visit Uncle Ben, bringing gifts with them.
Seeing the haggard Peter, Mary Jane gently embraced him, comforting him softly.
Gwen was also comforting Aunt May, while Meng Ran and Harry held Uncle Ben's hand, concernedly asking about his injuries.
After the blood transfusion, Uncle Ben's complexion had improved considerably.
He even joked with Harry and Meng Ran, "I can finally enjoy a vacation, even if it's in the hospital."
Seeing Uncle Ben's improved appearance, Meng Ran finally felt relieved.
Although he already knew last night that Uncle Ben wouldn't be seriously injured, he could only completely relax after seeing it with his own eyes.
Just as the group was visiting in the hospital room, a few police officers arrived.
They showed Aunt May and Peter the suspect's portrait and description.
Seeing the familiar face, Peter immediately recognized the man as the robber from the convenience store last night.
At the time, he'd felt a surge of satisfaction watching the cashier's bewildered expression. He could have stopped the guy, but he hadn't.
Peter thought back to last night, and a wave of regret and guilt washed over him.
If he hadn't stood aside, if he'd chosen to stop the man, then Uncle Ben wouldn't have been shot.
If the Ghost hadn't suddenly appeared last night, he and Uncle Ben would be separated by death right now.
Yesterday, when Peter arrived at the hospital, the doctor told him that the timely wound treatment, bullet removal, and blood stoppage were fortunate.
Otherwise, Uncle Ben would have died before reaching the hospital.
But when Peter heard the doctor's words, he only felt nervous and grateful to the Ghost.
But now Peter knew the killer. Besides gratitude, his heart was filled with regret and self-blame, which then morphed into anger.
Meng Ran watched Peter, who looked extremely grim out the window. He knew the news about the suspect had come from those police officers.
Seeing Peter's expression, Meng Ran could also feel his complex emotions.
Meng Ran thought to himself, It seems Peter might take some action tonight.
Meng Ran had already decided to follow Peter tonight. He already knew the robber's location.
Taking this opportunity, Meng Ran planned to talk to Peter and help him correct his mindset.
After visiting Uncle Ben, the group left the hospital. Meng Ran dropped Gwen off at her home and then returned to his own.
When night fell, Meng Ran put on his battle suit and instantly left his bedroom.
With the instant transmission skill, he finally didn't have to stupidly hop around on rooftops to get around.
With his speed and instant transmission ability, plus the ridiculously cool movement technique, "Surfing the Waves".
Meng Ran could confidently say that he was the fastest man in the world.
Of course, excluding that Quicksilver, who was still an unknown quantity.
"Little White, locate Peter's current position," Meng Ran said.
"Peter is currently moving rapidly. He is approaching another marked target – the robber who shot Uncle Ben," Little White quickly reported to Meng Ran.
Meng Ran saw the already marked route and, using Surfing the Waves while teleporting, quickly rushed towards that location.
At this moment, Peter was wearing a red and blue jumpsuit, wandering through the city. He had already found several blonde-haired, white-skinned thugs, but none of them were the robber.
At that moment, the police broadcast announced another person with similar characteristics to the robber.
Peter immediately rushed in that direction upon hearing the news.
When he arrived at the street, a blonde-haired white thug was fleeing in panic.
Peter shot a web and ensnared the man's feet.
The white thug immediately tripped and fell to the ground.
Peter leaped forward and landed in front of the fallen man.
Peter flipped the man over and carefully examined his face.
It's not him again. Disappointment filled Peter's heart after he finished looking at the man's face.
He webbed the man up, then shot out another web and quickly left.

Before long, the police arrived and took the white man away.
\n\n
Peter, once again finding nothing, couldn't help but become even more agitated.
\n\n
He angrily slammed his fist into the nearby wall.
\n\n
With a loud boom, the wall immediately cracked from the center of the fist mark, spiderweb-like cracks spreading out before it crumbled to the ground with another loud boom.
\n\n
After venting his anger, Peter patiently continued to search the city.
\n\n
Soon, a report came in, and Peter quickly rushed to the location, then followed the path, searching for the criminal nearby.
\n\n
Peter arrived at an abandoned building.
This building had been abandoned before it was even finished, for various reasons. There were no lights inside, the only illumination came from the lights on the building next door.
This is a good hiding place, Peter thought to himself.
Suddenly, a whooshing sound came from the side.
It turned out that the Robber thought the police were chasing him, and he'd picked up an iron bar and swung it at Peter.
Peter nimbly dodged the blow, and then used his foot to step on the iron bar that had fallen to the ground.
The Robber grabbed the iron bar, trying to pull it back with all his might, but Peter's foot was on it, and he couldn't budge it.
In desperation, he let go of the bar and tried to run.
But Peter wasn't about to give him the chance. He raised his hand and shot out a web, binding the Robber completely.
Peter walked up to the criminal and flipped him over, examining the man's face.
Suddenly, Peter's eyes widened, and he said with a hint of anger, "I finally found you."
After speaking, Peter grabbed the criminal by the collar and roared at him, "Why? Why did you hurt that innocent man yesterday!"
The criminal looked at the masked monster in front of him and suddenly let out a strange, "Heh heh heh" laugh. "Why? You're asking me why?"
"He dared to get in my way when I was trying to escape. Shouldn't he die?"
Peter looked at the man in front of him, and his anger burned to the extreme. Remembering Uncle Ben lying in a pool of blood, he raised his fist and punched the man's head. A large chunk of it was instantly punched through.
Peter raised his fist, trembling slightly. The man beneath him was also terrified, stopping his strange laughter and looking at him in horror.
Peter had never killed anyone. In the end, he couldn't bring himself to do it.
Although the man in front of him was detestable, and even though he'd almost killed Uncle Ben,
Peter still couldn't bring himself to do it. His sense of morality and the education he'd received held him back.
After a moment, Peter steeled his resolve. He raised his hand again and shot a web, sticking it to the robber's mouth. He then reinforced it with another layer of webbing.
Peter decided to take the robber to the police station and let him face the justice system.
He carried the robber and quickly hung him at the police station's entrance. Then, he turned and left, using his web to reach a rooftop.
Peter sat on the edge of the building, looking down at the night scene below. He looked very lost and dejected.
"What are you thinking about?" A raspy voice came from behind him.
Peter turned around quickly and found it was the Ghost. He instinctively bowed to the Ghost and thanked him, "Mr. Ghost, thank you for saving my uncle."
After he finished speaking, Peter immediately realized something was wrong. He was still wearing his mask and suit. Wasn't he just revealing that he was the same person from yesterday?
Seeing Peter frozen, Meng Ran was speechless. He thought to himself, Just like you, Peter. Only you could pull off something this absurd and hilarious, my brother.
Meng Ran had actually been following Peter the whole time, from when he caught the robber to when he tied the criminal up at the police station. Meng Ran had been by Peter's side, silently observing him.
Whether Peter decided to kill the criminal or hand him over to the law, Meng Ran would support him and try to guide him.
Although Peter's final choice was somewhat unexpected, it didn't feel wrong when he thought about it.
Because Meng Ran knew that Peter was this gentle and just, and that's why Spider-Man was loved by countless people.
Meng Ran wondered if he could do the same if he were in Peter's position.
The answer was no. Meng Ran didn't have Peter's great personality.
A lot of people can be like the Ghost, but very few can be like Spider-Man.
Meng Ran looked at Peter, who was a little caught off guard, and with a thought, he removed his mask.
Watching the Ghost turn into Meng Ran, Peter's eyes widened, and for a moment, he couldn't speak.
Meng Ran looked at Peter and smiled, "Peter, let me reintroduce myself. I'm Meng Ran, and I'm also the Ghost."
