Loki had already returned to his reindeer-like attire, standing outside the rooftop of Stark Tower.
He smiled as he watched the city being ravaged by Chitauri soldiers.
Once these Chitauri soldiers had fully deployed and conquered the world, he would be the only king on Earth.
Since he could not be king of Asgard, he would destroy this world protected by Thor — and then conquer it.
"Loki! Shut down the Tesseract immediately, or I'll destroy it!"
With a roar, Thor descended from the sky and landed beside Loki.
Loki looked at his enraged brother and felt an even greater thrill. He smiled at Thor: "I don't think you have that capability, my dear brother."
"You can no longer stop the Cosmic Cube. All that is left for you now is war."
Seeing Loki flaunt his power so arrogantly, Thor's anger flared further. He tightened his grip on Mjolnir, preparing to give his beloved brother an unforgettable lesson.
As Thor readied for battle, Loki raised his scepter, transforming into a mobile artillery platform, and launched a furious assault.
Thor dodged the beams emitted by the scepter while advancing toward Loki.
Just as he was about to reach Loki, a black-and-white figure suddenly appeared, elegantly moving, and kicked Loki back into the office wall.
The figure then lifted her hands, binding Loki tightly to the wall. He now resembled a large white cocoon plastered onto the surface.
"Who are you?" Thor asked, staring at this unfamiliar figure.
"The Hexagram Alliance… Ghost."
"Don't waste time here. Use your lightning to deal with those Chitauri soldiers."
This black-and-white figure was Ghost of the Hexagram Alliance — Gwen Stacy.
Gwen introduced herself concisely, then left swinging on her web, ready to handle the remaining Chitauri soldiers.
Besides Gwen, other members of the Hexagram Alliance had already arrived on the battlefield.
The police, under their coordination, were orderly evacuating civilians from the combat zone.
New York City's police were already accustomed to the Hexagram Alliance. Continuous cooperation over time had built significant trust between them.
So when the battle began, the Alliance had already coordinated with the police, ensuring the civilians were safely escorted away.
Thor glanced back at Loki, now wrapped tightly in the cocoon.
Seeing Loki unable to escape, Thor swung Mjolnir and flew toward the distant Chitauri soldiers.
Meanwhile, Natasha, Hawkeye, Steve, and Banner also arrived at the battlefield in aircraft.
Seeing the Chitauri swarming like locusts below, Steve gave orders in a low voice:
"Barton, take a high vantage point and observe their movement. Report back to us."
"Natasha, provide aerial fire support and suppress the aliens."
"Banner, you're with me on the ground to engage these soldiers."
Steve quickly assigned tactical roles, then looked at them solemnly:"The battle has begun, friends. Our goal is singular: work together to kick these locusts back into their hive and shove them back into that hole."
Barton nodded. Everyone understood the gravity of the situation.
At that moment, Tony's voice came through the earpiece:"So you guys forgot about me and that blonde hunk?""This isn't very… united, is it?"
Tony's humor eased some of the tension.
Steve responded:"Tony, focus your fire from the air. Keep the battle contained here — don't let it spread. Let Thor go all out and burn these aliens to ashes."
Tony replied:"OK, I'll let Thor know. And Banner, get ready — I've got a big surprise for you."
Tactical arrangements complete, the Avengers moved into action. Hawkeye positioned himself on a rooftop, monitoring Chitauri movements.
Steve and Banner had already landed, ready to act.
No sooner had they touched down than Tony's voice rang again:"Party's starting, friends. Banner, you ready?"
Steve and Banner looked toward a nearby building. Tony suddenly emerged from behind it, flying toward them.
Following him was a massive Chitauri flying beast — the "gift" Tony had promised Banner.
"This isn't exactly a party, Tony," Steve murmured, eyes on the approaching beast.
Banner grinned and stepped forward, ready to meet this enormous "gift."
"Banner, now's your chance to get angry," Steve reminded him.
Banner turned to smile at Steve: "I've been angry all along. Hulk can't wait either."
He then faced the oncoming Chitauri behemoth and began to swell.
In moments, Banner transformed into a green, muscular giant.
Tony roared past Steve and Hulk, then landed.
Hulk grinned and raised his fist, smashing the Chitauri beast's head into the ground.
Seeing this, Tony quickly fired an armor-piercing missile from his arm.
With a massive explosion, the Chitauri beast was cleaved in two, destroyed by their combined assault.
"Nice work," Steve praised, and Tony whistled in satisfaction.
But their relief was short-lived.
Two more Chitauri beasts approached from afar, clearly targeting them.
"Oh, f**k!" Tony swore, watching the incoming monsters.
Hulk let out a powerful roar.
Steve's face darkened. He raised his shield and addressed the others:"Looks like we celebrated too soon."
"Tony, provide fire support. Hulk, smash away."
Just as they braced themselves, two black silhouettes descended from the sky, landing on the approaching Chitauri beasts.
