Harry had a good memory—especially tonight, at such a crucial moment.
The tense environment pushed his brain into overdrive.
In an instant, he recalled the blueprint Anton had outlined before, especially the part where he mentioned the name "Green Arrow" and related content.
"We've already published Batman, Green Arrow… novels and their related comics…Besides that, we're planning to develop a Batman game, and we're considering producing a Green Arrow TV series…The game is also already in preparation…"
"Of course, the most important thing right now is film… Through movies, we can establish the popularity of a fictional character the fastest, achieving the best effect. So Cyborg and Superman are key steps for DC's next phase!"
Harry could even recall how, when mentioning the words "fictional character," Anton had noticeably emphasized the phrase.
As if he had foreseen this exact moment.
In other words, Anton was absolutely certain that the real Green Arrow would one day break the shackles of being "fictional" and appear in reality—
Just like the Batman who appeared out of nowhere.
"Th–this…"
Harry's eyes widened. Thinking of Batman immediately brought him to the Green Goblin—his own father, Norman Osborn—currently imprisoned somewhere by Batman.
"Father…"
He trembled with emotion, unable to stop himself from standing up and staring at the monitor.
He knew—the battle tonight was over.
Those "wolves," baring fangs and drooling over Osborn Industries, would be completely driven back by "him" tonight.
All thanks to Batman… and his father's assistance.
"This is great!!"
"Batman! Green Arrow! Father!"
Harry's spirit soared. He clenched his fists, breathing heavily, wishing he could howl at the sky.
Though victory hadn't fully been secured yet, he was certain he was already inches away from success.
"Green… arrow?"
Cromwell was completely stunned.
He didn't read novels or comics. He had little interest in entertainment of any kind. His biggest hobby was drinking.
In all these years, he had never heard of this man in green calling himself "Green Arrow."
And it seemed the man didn't like being called the wrong name.
Gulp.
Cromwell swallowed nervously, afraid he'd offended his ally.
"S-sorry."
He hesitated for a moment and whispered, "I…"
"Forget it."
Green Arrow's clone waved a hand dismissively."Just remember—Hawkeye is someone I've defeated. I don't like being compared to my defeated opponents."
Defeated opponent?
Cromwell's eyes widened.
He didn't know who "Green Arrow" was, but Hawkeye? That name he recognized.
Well… somewhat.
At least, he knew Hawkeye was a terrifying warrior who once stood alone with a bow atop a heavily fortified position and wiped out an entire armed unit.
Even with terrain advantage, the man's power was frightening.
And yet—Green Arrow claimed Hawkeye was someone he'd already beaten?
Gulp…
Cromwell swallowed again, finally understanding that this man in green was far more dangerous than expected.
On the opposite side, the remaining armed mercenaries of Hammer Industries were equally confused by the conversation.
Of course, they had no intention of chatting.
Their positions were incompatible; peaceful discussion was impossible.
Besides, the man hadn't even shown his face and had already killed their leader with a single arrow. There was nothing left to say.
"He's out of arrows! Fire!"
Someone roared and pulled the trigger.
Bang!!
He fired the first shot.
Flames burst from the muzzle, and the bullet tore through the air toward Cromwell and the Green Arrow clone.
But the clone had predicted his movement long ago.
He shifted his body lightly, arrived beside a fallen mercenary, and pulled the bloody arrow from the man's corpse.
Bow drawn. Arrow nocked.
Whoosh!
The arrow shot out, blood still staining the tip, and pierced straight through the attacker's heart.
The morale the mercenaries had just begun to muster instantly collapsed.
They staggered back in unison, terrified that if they didn't move fast enough, they'd be the next felled by an arrow.
They gradually retreated from the estate.
Osborn's private armed team saw this and were ready to pursue.
"Don't chase!"
Cromwell gritted his teeth."Let them go. We've lost enough men today. When Mr. Osborn returns, everything we suffered today will be repaid tenfold."
Clearly, the "Mr. Osborn" he referred to wasn't Harry—it was Norman Osborn.
Cromwell knew Norman's secrets very well.
He knew the identity of the Green Goblin.
On the night Batman invaded, Cromwell had been in charge of estate security.
Yet he hadn't even faced Batman before Batman abducted the Lizard.
And the Green Goblin hadn't returned that night either—he'd also been taken by Batman.
Cromwell knew Norman's transformation was caused by the human-enhancement serum developed by the Lizard.
So when news came that the Green Goblin had been captured, he wasn't surprised.
Later, when he met Harry, he told him everything without reservation.
Harry was shocked on the spot.
After that, Harry rushed to the Daily Bugle to confirm it with Anton.
Finally, Cromwell learned the full truth from Harry.
He knew—that man in green would return sooner or later.
Thinking of this, he glanced at the man before him.
Of course, he wasn't referring to Green Arrow.
As the thought passed, he turned to several of his subordinates.
"You guys go patrol the estate perimeter. Be alert for any tricks."
"Understood."
They nodded and joined the cleanup.
The others tended to the wounded and gathered the bodies.
No one looked particularly grief-stricken.
For mercenaries like them, every day had to be lived as if it were the last.
Cromwell sighed.
Then he turned to the Green Arrow clone."Sir, whoever you are… there is someone who wishes to thank you personally."
"I'm here!"
Harry's voice came from behind.
The moment the battle ended, he rushed over, eyes locked on the Green Arrow clone.
"You're Batman's ally?"
Though phrased as a question, his tone was absolute.
Cromwell stiffened—but quickly accepted it.
If Green Arrow wasn't Batman's ally or subordinate, how could he defeat the "Hawkeye" he knew of?
Anyone capable of that couldn't be ordinary.
"That's right."
Green Arrow's clone confirmed calmly.
"My father…"
Harry hesitated, then couldn't suppress his question."Is he… doing better?"
"Not anytime soon."
The clone shook his head."Focus on your own matters first. We won't interfere in the internal strife of Osborn Industries. But Batman promised Norman—he'll ensure your safety."
He paused."If you face danger again, you know where to find us."
With that, he didn't linger.
He pushed off the ground and vanished into the darkness like a phantom.
"I understand!"
Harry murmured, watching him go.He took a deep breath and turned to Cromwell Donald.
"Donald—the greatest crisis has passed. Get ready. Have your men cut off the thumbs of all the enemy bodies and store them properly. Tomorrow, as the major shareholder, I will convene a board meeting!"
His expression turned cold.
"Tomorrow… it's our turn to strike back!"
