Tony choked on the words, blood almost rising in his throat.
"What do you mean 'you'!"
Anton rolled his eyes and retorted without mercy:"Watch your words, or I might sue you for defamation."
"Anton, just wait!"
Tony gritted his teeth, wishing he could strap on a portable suit and take Anton down with him.
Meanwhile, the scene around them shifted.
Steel's appearance drew more attention than even Green Arrow—causing a sensation.
Even people outside the lab on nearby skyscrapers noticed the commotion, rushing to high points to get a view.
A silver figure descended from the sky.
The metallic, streamlined figure radiated elegance.
Those near the Hudson River saw the solemn figure hovering in midair and became inexplicably excited, exchanging stunned glances.
People farther away could only see someone flying in silver armor, unsure of what else was happening.
But everyone knew something significant had occurred. Curiosity gnawed at them like a cat at a string.
"That is…"
Near the Manhattan Bridge, on the upper floors of a building, a black employee saw the silver figure clearly. He immediately recognized a superhero he had seen recently, one that resonated strongly within his community.
"Steel!!"
His expression changed in shock and excitement: "It's real… Steel is real!!"
He quickly grabbed his phone, snapped a few photos, and uploaded them to the community network.
Ding ding ding!
Within minutes, notifications flooded his computer.
Despite the low-resolution images, the incredible sight captivated countless viewers.
Agent Coulson realized the situation had changed and, with Natasha and Hawkeye, rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they saw a figure descend like a meteor from the sky, hovering at the height of the Manhattan Bridge.
Their expressions changed—Natasha and Hawkeye were simply stunned.
Staring at the figure near the bridge, they thought of Batman, Green Arrow, and other DC heroes…
"No way… Steel has appeared!"
Coulson, though surprised, quickly regained composure. He had anticipated this back when Green Arrow appeared and had reported it to Nick Fury—who hadn't paid much attention.
Now, Fury would have to take this seriously.
"Hawkeye, watch Obadiah and evacuate anyone near the lab," Coulson instructed.
"Natasha, go find Anton and see what you can find out."
"Understood."
The two split up.
Around the same time, police arrived with sirens blaring.
George led a special task force, accompanied by modified agents from a specialized vehicle.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles made their dramatic entrance.
They immediately saw Anton and instinctively shrank back.
"Shredder!"
Tony, standing next to Anton, gaped at these unusual creatures.
Having been isolated in his seaside mansion, focused on his armor designs, he hadn't kept up with recent news—and had never seen the Ninja Turtles before.
"Am I seeing things?" he muttered. "Turtles… walking on two legs?"
Michelangelo overheard and frowned, approaching Tony.
Harvey stepped in, trying to protect Tony.
"Watch out, turtles, I warn—"
Before Harvey could finish, Michelangelo effortlessly shoved him aside, leaving him no chance to resist.
Then Michelangelo used his shell to nudge Tony, looking down at him with a condescending gaze.
"You've never seen a turtle walk on two legs?"
Tony twitched at the corners of his mouth.He thought: You're right… I've never seen a turtle walk on two legs!
As professional responders arrived, the lab area resembled a battlefield.
The tense situation gripped everyone's hearts, the air thick with the scent of conflict.
Doctor Octopus, with his mechanical arms, looked up at Steel hovering above.
Although his mind was somewhat affected by the intelligent arms, he was still capable of rational thought—enhanced by the mechanical assistance.
Steel's appearance didn't surprise him. It was the technology itself that caught his attention.
This advanced black-tech wasn't something just anyone could create.
Which top-tier lab produced it?
"Hmm?"
Otto didn't know Steel personally. Unable to answer, he set it aside—preoccupied with his artificial sun experiments.
The only superhero he knew by name was the suddenly famous Batman.
From the reactions of people around, this new enemy clearly wasn't a nobody.
"You seem quite famous," Otto said calmly. "Care to introduce yourself?"
Two of his mechanical arms aimed at the hovering Steel, the other two at Green Arrow—displaying a stance ready for two opponents.
"Victor Stone," Steel replied, his voice calm but audible to all.
"But I have another name…"
Steel descended slowly, the thrusters under his feet quieting, approaching Otto.
"You can call me… Steel!"
The words barely left his mouth before Otto attacked.
Two mechanical arms lashed at Green Arrow, the other two shot toward Steel.
Steel blocked the attacks with a crisp clang!
His thrusters exploded beneath him, propelling him forward and closing the distance with Otto.
Green Arrow's arrows found openings in the mechanical arms, damaging the cameras at their joints.
Otto's system alerted him—one-quarter of his mechanical arms' vision was lost, and his movements faltered.
Steel, meanwhile, advanced relentlessly.
He grabbed Otto by the neck, lifting him into the air.
"NO!!"
Otto's wife, Ros, screamed in horror.
The crowd held their breath, too captivated to blink.
Eddie was ecstatic—the two new superheroes were DC characters, essentially "their own people."
Steel calmly connected to Otto's damaged inhibitory chip, disabling it.
The mechanical arms' attacks became more desperate but Steel remained unshaken.
Suspended in midair, the fight seemed calm but was tense, with all eyes watching.
Finally, it ended.
The four mechanical arms detached and fell into the Hudson River with a huge splash.
"Steel!""Victor!""Awesome!"
Everyone cheered, especially the few journalists recording the entire scene.
Eddie's grin was the widest—he had the most complete footage.
New York's top reporter had captured it all.
The crisis was over.
Steel had rescued Otto, and the battle concluded.
