"Where's the wolf?" I demanded.
But he was on high alert as he flipped over quickly, dragging his knife.
"What the fuck!! I nearly killed you," he roared. It was pitch black, and I wished I could see his face.
"Not if I kill you first," I said, lunging at him again, my claws scratching his arm.
"Ah!! Stop!" he cried out, grabbing my hand forcefully. "First you need to calm down," he said.
"There's nothing to be calm about," I hissed. "If I don't find blacky I will burn this place down," I roared.
I heard footsteps rushing in, but the boss quickly left my hand, grabbing his mask just in time before the door swung open.
"Boss, we heard a scream. Is everything okay?" one of them asked.
"Do you think I'm that weak?" he replied, glaring at his men.
"Where's Blacky?" I asked, now pointing my claws at each of them, eyes red. I could feel the surging power running in my veins.
"He left; his people came for him," Boss answered.
"W-why didn't you tell me?" I stammered, heart clenched tight.
"It was for your own good," he answered.
"I knew you were a devil, and I shouldn't have had this deal with you," I hissed, walking out.
"Come back, where are you going? Do you want to get killed?" he yelled after me.
I was blinded by my rage, and in that moment I ran out. I was leaving Atlas City tonight no matter what would happen.
Walking alone in the dreary night, my senses heightened. I could hear everything and feel everything. Lost in my world, reminiscing of all that had happened to me, I got to find out I had claws and was now a werewolf that couldn't even shift properly.
I would sleep in the train station and. The first thing in the morning, I would leave this damn city. Tears slipped past my eyes under the moon. "Was I cursed?" I wondered.
My body ached from the previous fight, but every instinct screamed at me to keep moving, to run until the world let me free.
My ears picked up a familiar scent, but it was pitch black. I tried to sense far, but now my powers are clearly blocked.
A low laugh slid out of the shadows. "So you're the little human who made our Alpha risk his life?"
Anita stepped into the moonlight with half a dozen of her pack fanning out behind her. Their eyes glowed faintly, teeth flashing.
"I should have torn you apart on the cliff of death," she snarled.
"What do you want from me?" I asked as I was surrounded. I tried using my powers, but nothing. I was so useless.
"Stay back!!" I screamed.
"Oh, she's feisty," Anita mocked. "Show us why you think you're worthy of our Alpha's protection.
My stomach dropped in panic. "Which Alpha?"
"You always play dumb, blondie." Anita moved first, a strike to my ribs that sent me staggering, grabbing my arms from behind, her claws out and piercing my skin. I kicked and twisted, but my strength drained as if the night itself was eating me.
"Let go!" I snarled, thrashing. "I'll—"
A hard blow cracked against the side of my head. The world shook, my vision blurred, my heart ached.
"Knock her out and take her back," Anita ordered. "The Alpha will want to see his little human pet."
"I vow to rip you apart and feed your body to animals," I screamed, rage filling me.
The last thing I saw before the darkness swallowed me was Anita's smile, sharp and satisfied, and the glint of the city lights far away…

Ice-cold water slammed into my face. I gasped, slowly opening my eyes. I tried getting up; chains rattled and snapped me back down. My wrists were pinned above my head, iron biting into my skin.
My ankles shackled to the damp floor. The room was bare stone, no windows, only a single bulb swaying from the ceiling.
Boots clicked on the floor. A low laugh echoed around the room. "Finally awake." I blinked the water from my eyes. Anita leaned against the doorframe, arms folded, fangs just visible when she smiled. Her scent was all claws and venom.
"You really think you can walk into Atlas, take our men, and walk out untouched?" She circled me slowly, like a predator circling wounded prey.
"Humans who play with werewolves face only one end."
My stomach clenched, but I forced my chin up. "I'm not in love with anybody," I snapped. "Why are you doing this to me?"
Anita's laugh cut through the cold like a blade. "Oh, but he was willing to sacrifice himself for you."
"Does your Alpha even know I'm here?" My voice rose until it echoed off the walls. "Call him here."If only I could get even a surge of my power, I would tear Anita apart, my eyes filled with killing intent, but I was just a weak girl.
She hissed, walking out and leaving me chained.
I saw the image of blacky saving me if he could just appear now, tears forming in my eyes. I hated being weak, hated everybody, hated the world
"Just take my life!!" I cried.
The door banged open.
Drey strode in, eyes burning cold. Without a word he slashed the locks, and the chains fell to the floor.
My eyes widened in disbelief. I knew Drey would be a werewolf, but this was the first time I saw his claws and the eyes. They reminded me of someone.
"How did you end up here?" he demanded.
I wiped my face with the back of my hand and glared at him. "Why don't you ask your people?" I hissed, spitting on the stone near his boots. "You're all the same."
Anita's voice cut in from the doorway. "Alpha, don't let her go. She's only a human, yet arrogant. She should be punished."
"So this is the Alpha, and you think I loved him? I snarled at her. Drey was the reason I was captured, making me more bitter.
Drey turned his head slowly. Eyes locked in mine.
"She can't even save herself," Anita pressed.
His jaw tightened. "Enough," he said. "Get out now," he snapped at Anita.
When it was just the two of us, he held me, but I pushed him. "Let me hold you; your body is cold," but I stubbornly pushed him off me.
"I tried to kill you; don't act nice to me," I said.
"What if you were forced to do so?" he said. "I won't blame you; just tell me the truth."
"I would tear your people down, so you better kill me now," I said.
"Not another word," Drey growled. "Do you really hate me that much?"
"I don't hate you, but your people came for me first."
"Fine I won't hold you. Go. I hope the next time we see you, are strong enough to ask for debt from those that hurt you," Drey said.
Tears welled up in my eyes as my heart twisted in pain. "Yes, I would come back stronger." Walking out of the villa, I was met with battered stares from every member of the pack, as if I was a plague nobody wanted to associate with a human.
Anita stood fuming for Drey letting me go. I knew I had to survive and tear her apart.
Rain fell, soaking me. I dragged my feet until I boarded the train.
A lot of pitiful stares on me when they knew nothing of what I'd face, but now I was going to see my mother again, and hopefully one day I'd see blacky again.

In a dim room across the city, the scarred man traced a map with his knife.
"Boss she's free," one ran inside reporting.
"Good. Let her run. The more she runs, the more she hates them,"the the scar-faced man said
Gabriel leaned against the wall, smirking. "Then we go for the mother next?"
A cruel smile spread over the scarred man's face. "Exactly. Break the girl from the inside. Make her use her power against them…"
