THE TEENAGERS
"I swear, Bobby Joe, if we don't find your daddy's deer blind in the next two minutes, I'm going home," said Hailey. "It's colder out here than a witch's soul."
Bobby Joe laughed. "Don't you mean the Woodsman's soul? This is his domain, after all."
"You're not funny." She shivered. She knew the Woodsman wasn't real. Probably. This wasn't some horror movie, right? No way would they actually run into an ax-wielding murderer who chopped up his victims.
"I'm freezing my ass off," she muttered.
He grabbed her butt with a gloved hand and gave it a squeeze. "Still there."
Hailey slapped his hand away. She couldn't believe she'd let her boyfriend talk her into getting up at five-thirty in the morning on a Saturday to go hunting, of all things. Ugh. The idea of killing a living creature made her want to puke.
