The clock had struck midnight, but the Whitebeard Pirates were still partying hard on their massive ship.
They couldn't get enough of those beer mugs that were bigger than their faces, each gulp draining half the contents.
As the beer hit their lips, a faint golden light emanated from them, quickly absorbing into their bodies.
This was the beer Han Yu had infused with Senzu Beans. It healed injuries without affecting the taste. For this feast of thousands, Han Yu only used two Senzu Beans. Otherwise, they would have been full from just one, and wouldn't have been able to eat anything else.
On the quiet mast, Wanda stood alone, enjoying the breeze.
Han Yu climbed up the mast and took out a coat from his system storage, placing it around Wanda's shoulders.
"Why aren't you down there having fun? Pietro's having a blast."
Han Yu glanced down at the deck, where Quicksilver was using his super speed to play games with everyone. The pirates were amazed and amused by his speed, which was beyond their understanding.
"I want to be alone for a while. It's too noisy down there, not suitable for me."
Wanda huddled deeper into her coat, the warmth inside comforting her.
Han Yu asked, "What's wrong?"
Wanda's eyes were a little unfocused as she said, "A few days ago, Pietro and I were still wandering around, barely scraping by, not even knowing what we were living for. Who would have thought that now, I've transformed into a god capable of deciding the lives of others."
Han Yu nodded and then said, "To be honest, I know there's some bad blood between you and your brother and Tony Stark. I'm not involved, and I don't want to stand on a moral high ground. I just want to say that those things weren't his intention, and he's also fighting for peace, for Earth, now."
Wanda was surprised that Han Yu would bring up Iron Man, Tony Stark. She was silent for a moment before saying, "Maybe I could kill him easily now, right?"
Han Yu said, "You could, if you want to. But I don't want you to become like that."
Wanda sighed, thought for a moment, and then said, "If Stark continues to manufacture weapons for those people to wage war, maybe I'll take action and kill him. But seeing him rush into space with a nuclear bomb for Earth, even though I don't want to forgive him, I don't have any prejudice against him either. Let's just leave it at that."
"I'm glad you understand…"
Han Yu's words were cut short when Wanda suddenly leaned in, snuggling into his arms.
Han Yu was taken aback. He inhaled the faint fragrance of Wanda's hair and said nothing, gently embracing her.
Wanda looked up at Han Yu, her eyes filled with tenderness. She softly kissed him, while he was still somewhat dazed.
The two instantly returned to the general store, back to Han Yu's room.
Then.
A sleepless night.
The next day at noon, sunlight streamed through the window into the room. Han Yu's long eyelashes fluttered, and he slowly opened his eyes.
Han Yu yawned and sat up, finding Wanda lying beside him. Her bare shoulder was exposed, and a ray of sunlight fell on her fair face, making her look very beautiful.
"Last night, we..."
Han Yu suddenly remembered what had happened last night, recalling the craziness of the time. He couldn't help but smile. After tucking Wanda in, he got out of bed, dressed, and decided to make lunch.
He had just walked out of the room, intending to go downstairs when he found Quicksilver lying on the living room floor in a "big" shape, with several wine jars next to him.
"Pietro, you didn't sleep here all night, did you?"
Han Yu went up and patted Quicksilver's face. The latter didn't even open his eyes, rolled over, and continued to sleep, mumbling, "Drink... keep drinking! Anyone who doesn't drink is a grandson..."
"How much did he drink..."
Han Yu shook his head helplessly, using Green Lantern Energy to carry Quicksilver back to his room, then went downstairs to cook.
Judging by Quicksilver's condition, he definitely wouldn't wake up anytime soon, so Han Yu only made lunch for himself and Wanda.
Han Yu had just finished making lunch and was about to take it out when he felt something soft and warm pressed against his back. A gentle voice also sounded in his ear.
"You're up so early..."
The sound sent a tingle through Han Yu's body. Turning around, he saw Wanda.
She was wearing one of Han Yu's white shirts. The slightly oversized shirt made her figure seem even more delicate, and her long hair, casually draped over her shoulders, was full of femininity.
"Let's eat lunch, it's already noon."
Looking into Wanda's eyes, which were as gentle as water, as if he could sink into them and never escape, Han Yu quickly averted his gaze and carried the lunch outside.
Seeing Han Yu's somewhat disheveled figure, Wanda pursed her rosy lips, a pretty smile playing on them. She suddenly felt that Han Yu wasn't so mysterious after all.
At least in this respect, he was still very much like a young boy.
After lunch, Wanda took the initiative to take the dishes and wash them, saying, "Alright, let me do these. You worked hard last night, go and rest."
Han Yu smiled helplessly, can you stop flirting? Didn't she know how good-looking he was?
Just as Han Yu was about to do a "Ge You lie-down" on the sofa in the hall, he heard a gentle wind chime sound.
As mentioned before, the intensity of the wind chime sound depended on the visitor's strength; the stronger the strength, the faster the wind chime swayed.
But judging from the speed of the wind chime swaying now, the visitor's strength probably wouldn't be that great.
"Han, are you there!"
In the general store on the first floor, a fifteen- or sixteen-year-old boy stood in front of the counter, repeatedly calling out Han Yu's name towards the door.
"Coming, coming. What's the rush?"
Han Yu walked down, saw the boy in front of him, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Parker, why aren't you in school? What are you doing here?"
The visitor was none other than the widely known Spider-Man, Peter Parker. Of course, when Han Yu thought "widely known," he was referring to his previous life. Here, the young Spider-Man was still just an ordinary high school student.
Han Yu had quite a fondness for Spider-Man in his previous life. After coming to this world, Han Yu had, by chance, helped Peter Parker, who then became Han Yu's first friend in this world.
Seeing Han Yu come down, Peter Parker ran behind the door of the general store, made sure no one was coming in, and then rushed to Han Yu, excitedly saying, "It's not important, Han! Check this out!"
Before Han Yu could speak, Peter Parker looked around the shop, ran to a box nearby, and grabbed it with both hands. With a little effort, he lifted the box.
Han Yu's eyes suddenly narrowed. He knew exactly how heavy that box was, unlike everyone else.
That box contained the ore Han Yu used to forge weapons, a full four hundred kilograms!
For an ordinary person, lifting four hundred kilograms was an impossible feat. Especially for Peter Parker, a fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy who weighed only around a hundred pounds, it was simply a fantasy.
The only explanation was that he'd been bitten by a mutated spider!
Han Yu asked, "What's going on with you?"
Peter Parker put down the ore box and excitedly came before Han Yu, saying, "Pretty amazing, right? It's weird, actually. I went with school to tour the Osborn Corporation a few days ago, you know, Osborn, Norman Osborn, right? He's..."
"I know, I know. Get to the point."
Han Yu pulled Peter Parker back to the topic, as the kid easily got sidetracked, veering off into tangents and talking for an hour.
"Oh right, almost went off track," Peter Parker said with an embarrassed laugh, continuing the story, "We were visiting a lab for animal experiments. It seemed a spider fell from the ceiling and bit me on the neck. The next day, I discovered my strength, speed, and reflexes were beyond extraordinary!"
Hearing Peter Parker's words, Han Yu confirmed it. In his previous life, the little Spider-Man in the classic Spider-Man trilogy also gained superpowers in this way.
"Who else have you told about this?" Han Yu asked seriously.
"Just you. I haven't even told my classmates or Aunt May."
Peter Parker said. In his opinion, only the few-years-older boss of this grocery store could be trusted.
If he told his classmates, they were all young people, and it was likely the news would spread throughout the entire campus one day. Peter Parker didn't want to be captured for experiments.
